Sweet.
Because I'm a role player, and I specialize in combat RP's, my idea is to start a Duelist Arena type RP where we can have one on one fights, or massive grand battle royale style combat. And, to boot, I think we should institute a betting system so that people can earn gold from winning.

Sounds like a good idea... but most RP ideas fail on Gaia. ?I'm not trying to be negative, and sure, I'd love to take part, but I find the average RP ends in about a month (I had one that lasted 3 months, which was awesome).

I RP online with friends and on a specific anime site dedicated to Gravitation.
I hate fighting rp's even though I am a member in good standing in the Outlawed Guild- Rebirth. Had to show them I could fight and if not win, at least get a draw!

Firstly, because the zOMG is fail and lose, secondly, it is you, the player, allying with other players, and then fighting monsters.
The Duelist Arena, is you, against others. All living breathing people. A real challenge. No hitpoints, no random chance items that are largely useless.
Just you and your opponent, the observers, and the gold resting on the victory.
Now then, on to the other folks whom've posted here.
NeoTsure, I feel your pain. The one that I essentially recently left has lasted a year, but it's nothing but... drama. And not the fun kind. A soap opera. A Vampire Soap Opera, mind you. I plan on setting this arena up. Why don't you be one of my first Duelists?
Rita... How was that relevant to this thread? I'm not seeing it.

Because ... they're not even the same in principle ... And I hate fighting in RP's, it always seems so ... forced and some moron always aims for the last hit. Fights in RP's bore me, gimme the angst! XD
