It was early morning and fairly quite, as the sun was just beginning to rise above the horizon. Siti thought back to all that had happened in the last few weeks as she lay awake in the quite grasses. She'd become pregnant and gained to travel companions of the moment. It was all very new for her, being three and instead of just she, but surprisingly enough she was adjusting well to the new situation.
Siti decided she simply lay there long enough and thought maybe a little early morning hunt would put her mind at ease. She did not necessarily enjoy hunting but it was essential for survival and it also required her to concentrate on what she was doing. Siti rose and stretched moved through the grasses away from the make shift den. She walked where she'd seen prey the night before.

Jishin woke from a rather not so good dream. Rather, a nightmare if you will. Though didn't even remember what it was about. She sat up, trying to think of what went on in the dream, but couldn't and decided to just forget it. Standing up, she stretched and then shook her body. Ruby eyes scanned around not seeing Siti where her and the other. With that, she decided to go looking for the female.
She couldn't go far. She didn't want to be alone with the cub -who she had yet to learn his name-. Though, she shouldn't go too far from the cub. What if he woke up and thought he was left behind. Good ridance, came to her mind. Yet it still felt wrong. Her legs kept moving despite her feelings.

Siti moved slowly through the grasses and came upon some zebra grazing in the early morning light. They looked rather delicious in her opinion and she was very hungry. The kicking in her belly reminded her of why she seemed to need to eat more often. She smiled as she felt her cubs moving around in her tummy her slow gate slowly lulling them to sleep.
Siti decided to watch the herd for a while and see if she could find an animal that would be easy to take down. It would be hard to take down a full grown zebra, she would prefer to take one closer to the end of its life, but still healthy. She would take young but only if necessary, but not newborns. She watched as the animals moved about, fowls playing happily with one another, their mother's keeping a watchful eye one them.
She made sure to keep low in the grasses not wanting to be spotted by one of the anxious females. Her chances at a meal would be ruined if she were caught. She continued to scan the herd, seeing mostly females foals and healthy males, before she noticed a few more elder zebra closer to the enter of the herd.

Jishin continued on her way. Slowly, just in case the other could be just hunting. It'd be not a good thing if she accidentally scared off their breakfast. It didn't take long until she found a lovely herd of zebra. Jishin ducked out of sight just in case as well. She wasn't in a mood for hunting, but would wait until the herd moved on before moving. Or at least if it took to long, she'd just get up and scare them away herself so she could freely move.
She lashed her tail about in the grass, making a small amount of noise, but not enough to scare anything unless they saw her. But she didn't care if she scared them. But she didn't want to make it look like she did it on purpose if anyone was hunting. That way they couldn't get angry at her.

Siti found the perfect zebra, healthy but obviously old. She also noticed the zebra seemed a little more alert than they had just moment before, but it did not worry her. She slowly stalked through the grasses, getting closer to the zebra of her choice. The zebra seemed none the wiser. Siti made it a good distance to them and sprung foward, frightening the zebra and sending the running. She zeroed in on the older zebra and chased him away from him his herd.
Siti was getting tired but she could see that her prey was more so and even better, he was all alone. Siti caught up to her prey and pounced getting a good hold on the zebra neck, closing off his windpipe and slowly suffocating the beast. Siti was happy to taken down such a large prey beast, but knew she wouldn't be able to move it unless she lightened it up a bit. She decided to remove the pelt, help her self to some meat, and then take the pelt and the kill back to the makeshift den for Jishin and Udo.
Siti slowly began to remove the pelt, being careful not to rip it in other places.

Jishin stood up as she heard the screams of the zebra. Oh, it was like music listening to them running away yelling at each other as they did so. Looking around to see what had actually happened, because she knew she didn't make them scream. They would have just trotted off father away from her. Then, her eyes fell upon Siti. She rolled her eyes as if she knew that was what happened.
She made her way towards the female who seemed to be trying to skill the creature. As she got closer to the other she decided to make her own little comment to the female. "I don't think skinning it will do much" She said in a slight hint of rude tone in there. She had eased up on her rude tones, but they still were there no matter how much she eased up. It was just how she spoke.

Siti looked up to see Jishin and shook her head.
"Manner Jishin," she scolded," that comment was rude and should have been kept to yourself. A better way of voicing you opinion would have been to ask me why I was skinning the zebra."
Siti sat up have finished removing the part of the pelt she wanted and moved it to the side to let it dry. "I would have told you it will be good for the cubs to lie on instead of the hard, dust cover ground."
Siti felt that she did not have too much longer before the cubs would come and she wanted to be prepared early. In the meantime, it was a nice pelt for the three of them to rest upon. She would most likely collect more in the coming week or two.
Siti looked around Jishin, noticing the young female was alone. "Where is Udo," she asked suddenly feeling a bit paniced.

She rolled her eyes at the other. It wasn't a rude comment, She though it was more rude to skill a creature then just drag it all, but she suppose the other might have a good reason for not. The ground could easily puncture the creature's skin. But Jishin was a mother, and hoped she wouldn't be for a while she was sure.
She rolled her shoulders in a attempt to shrug. "He's still sleeping." She didn't think that Jishin would wake up the cub just so they could come here. It'd be useless, and would have meant she'd have to put up with a cub for a little bit on her own. She didn't know if she could handle it.

Siti knew the den was fairly safe, but a sleeping cub should not be left alone to long. She would need to return soon and take food back for Udo. "Very well," she said nodding, "are you hungry? I planned on having some, making it lighter to carry back to the den, but if you are hungry it makes more sense for you to simply have some here."
Siti sat up and looked to Jishin," I did not wish to attract to much attention to where we were sleeping by taking a entire fresh kill there." She attracted enough attention as it was and she not far that far from the den. It would be simpler for Siti to go wake Udo, but she rather him have his rest in these early hours of morning, before they headed off in the travels again.

Jishin didn't get this female. She always put others before herself. Was she just trying to be nice? Or did she really thing others more important to herself. She wasn't even thinking of her own kids. "Well, I could always help you pull it and we can all eat where the cub is" She spoke. She always felt weird if she was the only one who was eating. No way she was going to eat in front of the other female, and just expect her to watch her. It was awkward, uncomfortable, and just felt wrong.
She raised a brow towards the other. She was too weird. "I'm sure he'll be awake by the time we get back. He's probably starving." She said. Of course, she wasn't really concerned of the other cub, at least not on the shell of hers. Inside, she wondered if she had been right to leave him there. This female was really getting to her some how or another.

Siti smiled at Jishin, having offered to help her move the kill. It seemed as though if they both moved it there might be simpler just to take it back to the den. Siti nodded to Jishin, "It would be great if you could help me pull. It will be simpler that way."
Siti moved to get the skin from the animal, maneuvering it onto her back and looking to Jishin again. "He probably is very hungry, best not to make him wait. How very polite of you to think of him." Siti thought it was polite and made sure Jishin knew it. It seemed as though Jishin was learning manner, even it was not always apparent.
"So how, shall we do this," said Siti referring to the kill. She figured Jishin might have an idea for moving the kill or could just have a preference to which area she helped pull.

She didn't say anything at all. To her, she'd never think of him first, at least not openly. She flicked her tail and eyed the meat upon the ground. At least she wouldn't have to eat in front of the female. Now if the female was to eat with her, this situation might have turned different. "Er, both of us pull at one Two spots. Maybe two spots on the back." It wouldn't make sense to have one push while the other pulled. That'd just slow them down. Now maybe if one could get it up on the other and the other pick up the dragging part? That could work.
"Or one of us helps the other carry the meat upon the back." she threw out ideas that could work. Of course, she didn't think she was being nice or mean, just ideas that would fill her head as she went.

Siti looked at the skined zebra. It would be a little to heavy to carry on either of their backs even with help, so Siti figured Jishin first suggestion would be best. She was glad she had asked the question because it seemed Jishin opened up for a moment and Siti could see she was rather intelligent.
"I think pulling at two spots on the back would be best. The zebra is a bit to heavy for carrying. It we are on separate sides of the zebra it will be simpler to drag and we wont be in each other's way. Now why dont you pick a spot thats good for you and then I'll pick a spot to pull."
Siti hoped the skin would stay on her back but it did not seem as though it would be going anywhere, seeing as she skin mostly just the body minus a few off tuff of fur. The job had not been perfect but it would have to do.

She shrugged. Jishin figured she could carry it, but she kept her mouth shut. She moved towards the more meatier area and bit down. Waiting for the other to find a good spot too. The taste of blood and meat filled her mouth, making her stomach growl as she did so. But it wasn't a very loud growl. Maybe it would have been better if she did eat before dragging it, but it was far to late now. And she still didn't want to eat infront of the other.
She posed, ready to tug on the meat hard to pull it. Hoping that she wouldn't accidentally rip some meat off in the process. Well if that happened, then she'd at least have a tiny snack until they got home. It wasn't like she'd spit it out on the ground. Total waste of meat.

Siti moved forward to the zebra neck and grabbed hold of the neck. She bit down hard making sure to get a good grip on the animal. The scent of the animal filled her stomach and Siti really hoped they could get back to the den quickly so that they could enjoy the meal.
She got ready to pull and waited a moment for Jishin to get ready before she began to pull the zebra. The den was not to far off and Siti figured it would not be to long before they made it back.
