am i the only one a bit annoyed at the fact that almost everything in this guild involves us bitching about the real world? doesn't it seem as though all we do is talk about how much we hate how we're not accepted and how we're like "yeah, i'm open to everyone but my family cuz i'm scared of them cuz they'll never accept me".
here's the thing. we're not giving them a chance to learn to accept us. we're not giving anyone a chance. all we seem to do for the most part is b***h and moan about the real world; the second life we lead when the computor screen turns black. i mean, i hate to sound messed up or anything, but can't we talk about something nice. can't we all have topics about helping people learn to accept gays and such rather than just sitting around like losers and talking about how our lives are nothing but dark abysses, like those annoying emos!!!!
now i know, i'll prolly get in a lil bit of trouble for "flaming" or whatever, but i shouldn't. honestly, we need to post topics about "i came out to my parents. no one liked me and they haven't spoken to me in a week, but at least i'm not sitting on my a** in senseless fear!" or stuff like that.
i'm just upset that all we can do is complain and soon we'll get that stereotype that we're just little wimps afraid of the world. whatever happened to "WE'RE HERE, WE'RE QUEER"?! the good days. i say we bring them back. no more complaining about it all. LET'S MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE FOR GAYS.
i swear, if anyone posts on this topic about how "well, it's hard, because religion runs everything, blah blah blah" i'll explode.
anyone ever heard of the unorthodox catholic church run by gay femenists? they worship against what anyone else thinks. let's be like them, shall we?

/Wrists emo Haha, kidding. I'm very pro-life/attitude kinda person. Do you have a link to this unorthodox catholic church thing? I want to check it out for reference. Annnnd this issue kinda reminds me of the website samesame.com.au. They spam my inbox with so much nazi anti-gay hate stuff, always complaining about something someone has said. The only time they lighten up is mardi gras. Not to complain, or anything.

I would blame all this on the fact Gaia attracts emos like a bug zapper attracts...bugs.
I'm now straight (was bi when I joined but now, if I ******** a guy it's purely cause I'm feeling freaky, not because it feels good. >.> Although it really does feel good. Meh) and I came out to a couple friends. They all were fine with it.
I think they thought I was joking though. domokun

edit- wtf, no more DOMO!? scream

Edit 2 - Also, don't post a poll when there's only one choice. It is miserably unfair.

Haha. No, Gaia attracts 13-15 year olds. That age group also seems to be attracted to the "Emo" fad. Not always though. I guess it might have something to do with 13-15 being the age when most people "come out" and grow up a bit. The older people here are light hearted.

I don't know, I showed up when I was 15 and was more light hearted and happy compared to now. Then again, I don't blame it on any issues with my sexuality.
A side of me believes that this (being gay and all) has been blown out of proportion thanks to the media and that a result is the increased number of people that believe they're gay/bi/les because they kissed a guy/girl.
Also, it's fairly known (at least, in the two colleges I attended) that most "lesbians" claim to be so for the attention of guys. Lipstick lesbians I believe the phrase is and they often will just randomly make out girls at parties.

I don't know. I think it's both a good and a bad thing that the media is placing more exposure on LGBT stuff. More exposure, more acceptance, more chance of it being considered a more 'norm' kind of thing. I guess it is being represented in a bad light, with all the sterotypes, such as the girl "randomly make out girls at parties" you mentioned. But hey, on the bright side, more for me ehh? Haha.
And yes! Wtf happened to domo?!

Yes, I do have to agree. I've told most of my friends Only one freaked out but then learned to accept me. Most of my guy friends acceot meh, while others just think it;s hot. (Not mentioning names) *cough Steven Jason and Arain* But ya, I know I can;t tell my parents because my mom already said that she'd only accept me as gay or straight. But still Thought I have to agree with almost every word you said.
