Okay... Our country is in turmoil. This won't do.
Executive order 464, No Permit No Rally....
The Government is slowly banning our rights!

Tapos, ung Anti-Terrorism Bill...
Narinig nyo naman ung sinabi ni Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago 'di ba?
Sinabi niya na mayroon nga namang human rights na mava-violate ng bill na ito pero at least wala nang terrorists...

Excuse me for my words pero....GAGO BA SIYA?!
Hindi ba't ang pag-alis ng ilang human rights ng tao ay terrorism na rin?!

I agree with Defensor-Santiago. Which one do you value more at this desperate situation of our motherland?

Freedom of Assembly or Suppression of Terrorism?

I pick "Suppression of Terrorism" at these kinds of situation. Filipinos nowadays don't rally for the right cause...unlike how it was during the First People's Power Movement. Besides, those rallies aren't doing any good for rallyist and the country. Ate Glo won't be unseated, and their rallies are holding back the economy since the rallyist are not working anymore. All I can say to the rallyist is wait for Ate Glo to finish her term...then they should come together to cause a change. That way, there will be less dispute.

Oh I see...I just read about in the balita thread. the problem with E.O. 464 is that she is banning congessional hearing unless she gives them approvement. That kinda sucks...but then again, we really need to focus on economy.

i don't think there is a perfect way to suppress violence. in fact, i think you can only suppress violence for a certain span of time and when it's at it's limits, it'll burst uncontrollably leaving all concerned people with full-blown violence. it's more like cultivating a seed of monster within us.
