She loves to wear dark colored clothing such as deep purple, black, deep red... Her clothing constitutes of long skirts and tank tops, except in the winter where she will wear warm sweaters.
Pet : She has black cat named Artemis.
Home Life : Lorna comes from a Muggle family. She is therefore a muggle-born witch.
She was born in Aberdeen, Scotland, from a Scottish father, William, and an English mother, Elizabeth. Her father is a wildlife officer, making sure that no tourists in the area come near the wildlife living off the coasts of Scotland. Her mother is a Biologist, a marine biologist, studying the local wildlife, and especially the local Orca pods. That's how her parents met through a common passion while Elizabeth studied the animals in the area.
She is an only child. Her parents wanted to only have one child. It was easier to educate that way, while staying focused on their jobs. Her parents were always very career-minded. So Lorna was, somehow, an accident. Though they considered her as a blessed accident.
She still currently lives in Aberdeen. That is where she was born, but she spent her whole life there. But Lorna wouldn't consider living elsewhere. She loved Aberdeen, it's charming town with interesting surroundings.

Personality : Lorna is quite smiling, despite the fact she wears dark colors. She just likes wearing them because she finds the color refined, elegant. She is smart, but creative. She is quite the stubborn person, deciding only what is best for her. She does not think through her actions sometimes which can lead into disasters. However, she is open, and will make a good friend. She can be rather harsh sometimes, choosing to be too honest rather than keeping her mouth shut.
Likes : To draw, to take pictures and to read about local wildlife.
Dislikes : Judgmental people (though she tends to be like that herself), and those who disrepect wildlife.

Lorna, 11 years old, was sitting on the rocks overlooking the water. It was summer. The air was soft, the sun radiating giving a bit of warmth on her cheeks. The breeze was cool in comparison, but in the end, it didn't feel cold nor hot. She had a book of paper and a pencil. She was drawing a local bird : a puffin, to be precise. They were so small, so cute. Lorna always loved to draw them. In this particular moment, it was a mother, she assumed, with her baby.
As she observed the two birds, her eyes drifted to the sky. She wanted to be a bird sometimes : to be able to fly, to be free to go wherever you wanted. As she focused on the sky, she noticed an owl. Majestic, white, his wings long and gracious. Without sparing a second, she flipped a page and began drawing the animal. But he was fast, her eyes couldn't focus. She frowned as she thought the animal was carrying something. It came closer to her, and she didn't move, not wanting to frighten it. It didn't stop in front of her, just dropped the thing it was holding and flew away.
She sighed in frustration. It was so beautiful. She wanted to finish her drawing. But then her attention was back on the object left behind. She glanced down to her paper, and there was an envelop. Her left eyebrow rose in question. She turned the envelop over and her name was on it. She was surprised. Returning the envelop, she opened it and noticed it was a letter. It was a letter from a school. But not any school : Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She laughed at it. Who could be pulling a joke on her ? There was no such thing as magic...
