Kinda forgot that the miniseries was starting up now, until I came across #1 at the mall earlier today.

Anyone else checked it out yet? Just now finishing reading it, and I suppose it has promise. Though, I think the new artist needs to brush up on his skills, and the plot wasn't anything groundbreaking (what's with Eggman not knowing what currency was?...all those casinos, sheesh :p), but hey, hopefully it'll improve.

I can assume it won't come to Europe.... Triah, why do we have to import the good stuff? talk2hand

Just curious, I havent gotten to talk to him nor pick up a copy of the Sonic X series yet....Is Dub' ((Jonathon Grey)) the penciller? Or did they put Axer in?

Unfortunately, neither of them :/
Archie's apparently got another new guy on the team to do this one; his name's Tim Smith III. I think I'd have to put him on scale of Ron Lim in terms of quality.

Inking's nothing special, either...everything art-wise looks so flat in this particular issue.

i'm in the UK and i'm collecting the comics, but i'm lucky enough to live near a comic shop.

the artwork was awful in places. it's like the artist hadn't even practised the characters or was just unfamiliar with the style. non-official characters looked alright, but uncle chuck and chris especially looked wierd. (chris seems to have his mouth open in some eager-looking grin the entire time, while in the animation he usually seems to have a slightly worried expression. chuck has random wrinkles.)
i'm not going to start on sonic and co, as they looked alright on occasion, and other times just looked strange. i agree with it looking 'flat'.
but i'm hoping the artist improves with practise.

tails seemed to've morphed into STC-fleetway mode with his "i wish sonic was here! ;_;" and not being too helpful when it came to any action.

but i liked the dialoge, none of the characters seemed too ooc and a few parts were nearly amusing.

Shame. I thought ol' Dub' would do great at it too....Or even Axer.

Can't say I've ever even heard of Mr. Tim Smith III....Anyone know if he has any artwork online somewhere or something?

I agree with you. I bought the Sonic X mini-series comic not too long ago; it wasn't that bad, but it wasn't that good either.

At least they aren't importing Archie characters into 'em, that part made me happy.

Yes, but that fits his SX persona pretty well. sad

I'm still waiting for my order to come through.

Because of course an arrogant, egotistical character needs a junior yes-man.

I just got Sonic X #2 tonight (already finished reading it). I already had #1 before hand. I can't say I like the Sonic X series so much as I like the Archie series. I know a lot of people would disagree with me, but I really like the direction the original Archie series is going in. I just find Sonic X to be a tad immature for my tastes. But that's just me. Oh, well. What can I say? Nothing, I guess. But I'll continue collecting and reading both the series. I'm a "hedgehog comic hog"! xd

I stole issue one (Yes, I'm rather proud of being a thief)) and I disliked it. The art was really bad. Especially that robot rat. Anyway, I'm fairly confused on the Sonic story right now so if anyone would be kind enough to pm with an explanation, I'd be happy. (Confused about the game's story, the sonic x story, and the sonic the hedgehog story))
