When you first talk to Dale over the counter you need to choose Build {I believe it's build} and then find whatever plot you live on and choose that.
You also need to have enough lumber, stone and money to upgrade your house.
indeedly so, grey. to get lumber, you cut down trees found in forest near mine, farm land near seeside plot, wherever.
just simply smash rocks for material stone, not stones in mines, those don't count...
i have gold hammer, gold rod, still need work on gold axe.
sold my chickens because they kept getting sick and i spent way too much on animal medicine; they got in way of progress. they had to go....
