The frost coated grass crunched beneath his gold colored hooves as the stormy colored stallion wandered aimlessly through the plains. Multicolored wings shuffled at his sides as his pale hair sifted over his neck. Pyry was every bit as foreboding as one could think when looking directly at him. His braided tail swaying behind like a tail of a human's canine companion. Shaking the crispness from his back, wings stretching outwards and upwards, he looking around.
At this early our, he hadn't seen many out, perhaps it was still too cold and everyone was still huddled together keeping warm? Shaking his head and folding his wings back down, Pyry had no one to 'cuddle' with nor did he really think he needed anyone. Stepping over to a small stream, a thin laying of ice already covering it. He shattered the icy surface to get a drink from it. The cold water cleared his senses and woke him up even more, though unknown to him, Pyry was going to meet someone his mother forgot to tell him about...

Siobhan wandered aimlessly through the trees of the forest, a grin on her muzzle as the sunlight poured through the leaves, heating her wings and face. The soft leaves were quiet beneath her hooves as she tromped forward. Life was good in the summer, and after a quiet crunch that seemed far away, she could hear the trickle of a spring somewhere in the forest. She headed forward, determined to find it, when it suddenly got cold. Her breath was visible now, and she shivered, closing her eyes.
Siobhan woke up where she'd fallen asleep the night before: on the yellow grass in a huge field, now covered with the nights frost. She lifted one of her wings from her face, and saw that it too was slightly frozen, and she folded and unfolded it several times to release the bits of ice from her feathers. Her ears perked up hearing the flowing of the stream--evidently not just her dream. Siobhan got to her feet, and spun her head in the direction of the sound, only to see a tall wing Soquili leaning over the water. Her ears pinned back, unsure if she should take her chances finding water elsewhere..

Ears standing tall on his head, Pyry was well aware of his surroundings, though his golden eyes remained closed. An ear turning toward the side something had caught its attention, orbs opening some he lifted his head. Pale hair like his mother's swaying as he did, something was there. turning his head slowly, he caught sight of another nearby, and a wind at that. Noticing their dark colors, he would have though of his mother, but she wasn't 'that' dark colored and she was off with his father. Stomping a hoof for a moment Pyry lowered his head to the water again as if he were looking to get another drink. Thinking whatever the other wind wanted it wasn't of his concern.
He wouldn't make any call or announcement that he had seen them, nor would he make a fuss about it. Living alone since he was able, Pyry learned to just mind his own business unless someone came to him and started talking. Though he minded to keep an eye on this wind, making careful note of what they do. If they chose to come rushing toward him, he would know that he wasn't wanted around, but for now he just waited and watched...

Siobhan nibbled her lower lip thoughtfully, staring at the ground as she did. Her ears twitched, hearing minute changes in the other's actions--she could feel him staring at her. She looked up at him and immediately regretting it, seeing golden eyes focused on her form. She winced back, and began making alternative plans, thinking of all the times she'd gone searching the area. She'd never found other water on these plains, though maybe she just wasn't looking in the right places. It would be so much easier if she could just fly...
She sighed knowing she couldn't very well go anywhere else immediately when she was so thirsty, and the Wind had clearly broken the stream. Siobhan had vehemently refused to, knowing how cold it would be--and how long it would take her to dry off--if she'd gotten herself wet. She sighed, forcing herself forward towards the broken part in the stream--and the wind Soquili.

Well it seemed that the other wind was trying to decide what they wanted to do. Shaking his head he pulled his head away from the broken surface in the stream, he soon backed away as the other came closer... And it wasn't exactly what he thought, it was a mare and looked strikingly, though not exactly, like his mother. Darker this one was, but the lighter tones reminded him of his mother at least and the wings as well... Backing away as she came closer, he gave space to her like his father had taught him.
'Always give the ladies their space if you don't know them' his father's words flowing through his head as he watched the mare come still closer to where he stood.
Pyry had to roll his eyes to himself as he thought of his father, well wasn't that just perfect. A snort escaped him before he stepped forward again and stomped at the thin ice over the stream surface to expose more water, the space being wide enough for at least three to drink at the same time. Dipping his head, he didn't touch the icy water yet, though opening his mouth to say something.
"Kinda chilly huh?" he asked as if it wasn't completely obvious...

Siobhan nodded slightly when the Wind backed off, but couldn't look him in the eyes. She was grateful for this gesture, even if he didn't know how much.
She shocked to a stop for a second, thinking he was snorting at her. For a second she rethought the whole thing--she could always go downstream and break the ice there, even if it would be unpleasant. The shattering of new ice brought her back, and saw the other step over to the water, but Siobhan herself seemed frozen, rooted in place. Even his voice couldn't make her move forward, though the stallion seemed friendly enough...
Hesitantly, she spoke, "Yeah.. it is." She watched him for a moment from where she stood before moving closer to drink from the icy waters. Siobhan didn't realize how thirsty she was until the liquid hit the back of her throat, soothing the dryness there. She was so distracted, she'd nearly forgotten there was someone there with her. When she was done she glanced at him, only to find golden eyes peeking out from all the blue. It shocked her, unexpecting as she was. "Your eyes!"

He had nearly forgotten about the mare as he went on to minding his own business, thought the sudden comment on his eyes, made him look up quite suddenly. His eyes? What was wrong with his eyes? They way it was said made him think that maybe they were supposed to be another color or something. But they were the same as his mother's, his grandfather's and then on down the line to his great grandfather. Pyry tilted his head to one side as he watched the mare carefully before speaking.
"My eyes?" he wondered out loud, "something wrong with my eyes?" Turning a bit to look straight on at the mare, he watched her eying the color of her coat, man it really did look somewhat familiar.
Wandering back over toward the mare, though keeping the stream between them, Pyry waited for her answer. Curious to know why she sounded surprised at the color of his eyes or just the surprise itself actually. In the back of his mind, he had a nagging feeling that they were familiar to this mare in some way...
