If you ask me, I think it's a bunch of BS...
They should have gave clan features to the guilds, not create a whole new
thing. In my veiw; gaia just created something that they already had, but
gave it ONE feature that the other one didnt have.
How are clans and guilds the same:
Almost in every way...
In a clan, you can:
Create subforums,
Promote members,
Switch guild... ahem... I mean clan ownership,
Create announcements, and stickies,
advertize your clan in a forum for that (kind of like the RG),
You can even do the GIM broadcast feature that was recently added.
This is what the clan's moderator panel looks like, Look firmiliar? Oh wait, that's right, they forgot to list the deactivated
captain's guild...
They even list the GUILD faq thread on the main clan page...
How are they different do you suppose?
~In a clan, I think there is some feature to be able to group or see your clan
members in the new zOMG! (not certain about that, just rumors)
~Its currently free to start one (I imagine their going to put it up to 20k,
just like the guilds soon, so I had to get one while its free).
Does anybody else feel forgotten?

As far as I can tell from the one page I bothered to find clans are directly linked to zOMG, so when that's fully launched they should gain more features to differentiate themselves from guilds

But that's sort of my point...
Why is this new feature getting MORE features than this old feature..
Its not fair to the people who dedicate their time to this old feature if the
new feature serves as guilds, plus more....

Something that I just noticed...
It would seem that clan does in fact take something from the guilds,
and that's an ID.

Sooooo.... basically those of us that went and paid gold for a guild just all got screwed over... nice.
I could have gotten a few clan instead of spending how much gold on a guild? That would seriously have been helpful.
And I did notice that the captain's guild was down. Why is that? I was about to bump an ad I had in there for my guild as a server to other role playing guilds.
Oh well...
(P.S.: Anyone out there that has a role playing guild, if you ever need references or anything, there are role playing references in my guild that are free to use. You don't have to be a member, just toss in a link and then you can use that reference.)

I just also learned that you can only join one clan at a time...
*score one for guilds*
(now, to get rid of the clan I am captain of in order to get into a different
clan...)

Hm... I don't mind them. In fact, I've never even used them. Haven't really felt a need to. I might make one just for like, good friends or something, but that would be it. Not like the guilds where I go to make friends. xd

Never got involved with clans but then again I don't get involved with ZOMG!
And if the clan is directly connected to the MMO, it's ok. Guilds will still live on!

I haven't bothered with them either.
Waste of time, Gaia could just have made a forum instead, rather then the 'clans'.

It's only a small thing, no one is going to spend gold on suds or they'd be stupid to do so, its really easy to delete them and you cannot be in two at the same time or at least own one and join another. This is I guess just an easy way of doing things till the figure something else out, I do not believe they are going to make them cost like the the guilds are. The guilds will be cool old school while the clans are just the new stupid thing. BTW! Holy Knights of the Halos Clan is mine so if people want to join just check it out real quick.
