Shigeie ran into the common room of the house with a book at hand. Never has he been so ready to learn about war strategies and maybe finally be able to surpass his brother. "Mom! I'm telling you; today is the day when I can finally outsmart Tatsuko..."
"Do you two have to constantly compete? Can't you two just be like normal brothers?" Toshio asked while plopping down on the couch, not occurring to him that Shigeie called him 'mom'. If it's one thing he hated it would have to be fighting....and misplacing his boots.
"Ugh mom...the only thing 'normal' brothers do is fight and compete."

Mitsunari wasn't as concerned; fighting was a natural thing; especially so when it came to boys, and of course brothers. Shigeie and Tatsuko we're only doing what was natural when it came to their competition and in the end once they were older the competition would die down and they could possibly become friends. Simple.... Of course, trying to tell that to Toshio would cause a fuss and Mitsunari would rather not have to deal with the headache that was an upset Toshio.
Tatsuko grumbled quietly as he moved around the strange house; he didn't like being here in his mother's house... It was unfamiliar and there were many suspicious looking people around.
His tail swished irritably as he continued his trek through the house looking for his parents.

"Sorry, I just despise fighting...I get enough of it." He said with a small sigh while sitting down with a plop, never recalling a time that Marsden and him ever fought. "You know, I never fight with Uncle Marsden...but I do have my disagreements with your Aunt Hiromi."
Shigeie rolled his eyes and walked off, relieved that he took after Mitsunari and not his mom. "Thank god.." He mumbled to himself as he walked his way through the house and into the kitchen to get some water.

"You're the odd one out Toshio." Mitsunari stated simply as he peered up from the book he had been buried in momentarily. He was still getting use to the idea that Toshio would need his full attention when they were talking but Mitusnari was avoiding eye contact to hide his amusement at the situation.
Tats was about to give up and go home when he made his way into the kitchen. "Oh, its you." He grumbled as he eyed his brother warily.

"I've always been the odd one out, Nari." Toshio said with a laugh, not because it was funny but because he was telling the truth. "You're finding amusement in this arn't you?"
"I came to get some water, not to fight." He replied with a sigh while grabbing a chair to hoist himself up to the sink for he was not yet tall enough to reach the faucet by himself.

"Not exactly amusement; but it is difficult to explain what I think of this situation without frustrating you in the process." Mitsunari replied in a matter-of-fact tone as he placed his book down, of course by putting it that way it could lead to frustration as well but it couldn't be helped.
"Where is mother and father?" Tatsuko asked blankly, choosing not to give the weaker sibling the satisfaction of thinking he had avoided the conversation.

"In the living room." Shigeie said blankly before taking a long sip of his water, "I think they're beginning to argue so I don't think it's best to go in there."
He just remained quiet, not letting Nari think he was right but instead played it off as if nothing happened. "So, how're you?"
