We all know our rats are little demons in disguise darlings, but they do have the little-kiddish habit of scaring us half to death (Like a little kid running into traffic to get a ball, or whatever). What's the worst thing your girls and boys have done to you?
Sugar decided to go on an Outdoors Experience when she was young - seven weeks or so, we'd had her for two weeks. She jumped/fell out a window (We suspect this, there was an open window but until the deed had been done, we all thought she was safely on the sofa.). It resulted in mass panic, and a complete tidy of the entire house in an effort to find her. Many tears, and two days later, our neighbour comes and knocks on the door holding a bucket. Jess (Flatmate) answers. Neighbour: "Um, hi....I think this is yours?" Jess:"Well, it's a real nice bucket and all, but.." *Neighbour tips bucket, Jess sees small orange rat in bucket* Jess: "OMG Sugar!!"
Apparently they found her running round their kitchen. gonk redface
Failing that, Coffee took exception to me blinking whilst she was examining my glasses..and promptly bit me. HARD, on the bridge of my nose. (Luckily for me, the bite marks were hidden by said glasses, so I didn't have to explain them at work.)

my roomie left the pet room door ajar and my parakeets decided the living room and kitchen just wasn't enough flying room. pepper (my old yellow female) headed into the pet room. i was in the kitchen when i heard her cheeping loudly, i ran and she was fluttering around terrified and landed on the rat cage! they started swatting and trying to bite her, thankfully i saved her in the nick of time and you KNOW my roomie got one heck of a "talking to".

I haven't had my boys very long, just a month, so they haven't done anything bad yet. The only thing is that when I pick them up for their nail clipping time, the scratch up my hands... but that isn't even too bad. XD

well i keep my girls in the laundry room in a big bird cage and they figured out how to open the doors on it well i went in there the other morning to feed and check on them and i noticed that the cage seemed really empty so i started looking around and i saw rats everywhere (i have 13 girls now and like 8 of them escaped) well my little black rat judas started reaching for me so i picked her up and put her back in the cage and then i felt something on my shoe and there was one of the mom rats and then the others started coming out of there hiding places and came to me but i couldn't get mad at them for being so cute and smart so i used clips to keep the cage doors shut

Yeah, I got my new cage and the latch on it was extremely flimsy... so I bent it back and forth until it came off. I then took one of the (removable) latches from the small cage and put it on the big cage. It is so much better as it is a hooked piece of metal with a loop (to which is attached one of those rings usually used for keychains, for easier opening) which is all attached to a strong spring. There is no way that one of my boys will be able to open it. XD

Lol - I use circular metal bookbinding rings (They function similar to sleeper-style earrings, just a lot bigger) to hold my doors shut. The girls chewed through the cord we tried when we first got the cage, and the wire we used for a while was annoying to untwist and retwist all the time.

The worst thing my rats have ever really done to me is poop on me. ._. My Mitzi tends to like to wander where she's not allowed to (my nightstand, under my dresser...) but it always turned into a game trying to get her back in her cage~

Recently, Murphy, (My little trouble maker) got away from me and decided to explore the inside of my brand new couch. Me freaking out, because there are staples and nails exposed, decided to rip the lining out of the bottom after he was in there for 4 hours. Hes fine, but the bottom of my couch is a mess. I also had to go buy a new cage because of him. He has decided that he no longer likes other rats, and insists on being a loner.

My mouse bit the crap out of me once XD. It was my fault really, i didn't wash my hands after i put food in his cage.
Then when i had hamsters one of them could escape any cage we put him in. My other hamster also had escaped once but he hated being out so much that he ran over my feets. xd I was in the bathroom and he just ran across my feets XD It scared me so bad but then i was like "HAY THUR"

ROFL Once Morgan got out cause our cage was plastic and she chewed her way through O.O But what was sweet was that we found her curled up in Beth's clothes and we all suddenly knew that Morgan just wanted to be with Beth.
Once Kemo got out and we found her behind the TV XD She tried so hard to stay away from us, which was unlike her but it never happen again XD

I have one to add now...
I spent some time making an awesome three layered cube hammock for my girls and within a few hours, they chewed huge holes in the lining. I took it away from them, turned it inside out and fixed the holes, then put it in the boys cage (inside out) and they started chewing the new inside. T_____T They don't chew the things specifically for chewing, but they will chew their hammocks. It makes me mad.

Got Pregnant neutral
Real Answer: Antigone is a trouble maker and she looooves to run all over the house if she gets the chance. She also is fearless rolleyes anyway she decided to chew a hole in the sofa so she could drop onto the floor, she then ran right up to our HUGE maine coon cat (like 25 lbs) And crawled on him >< He freaked out and didnt know what to do since the cats know better than to attack the inside rodents. So he ran around until she fell off and wouldnt come inside for like 3 days. All the cats are scared of the rats >< Other than that she bit my fatty cat on the tail and freaked her out too. Shes a cat hater.

dear god, my youngest tries to give me a heart attack i swear. he is the worst shoulder rat ever because he is not afraid of hieghts and is curious as heck. im 5'6 and he will jump from my shoulder to the floor if he sees something he wants to look at. he has also jumped off of my dad's bed, which is waist high, and onto one of the cats. oh, and he loved jumping off the top of the critter nation to see if he can make it onto the snake tank. not to mention when he is free ranging and i have the cats put away he will move the toewls from under the door so he can squeeze under to say hello to the cats. and he is always trying to get into the ball python tank to make matters worse. he has no interest in any of my other reptiles, just the ball python rolleyes

My rats are at my sisters place (I am moving there on the 26th, but need to clean and pack and don't want them to distract me) and she told me a few minutes ago that Marty bit her... on her eye.
Good thing her eye was closed.
