Hey ya'l! I just have to clear things up, since we are getting so many new folks around here. (Wow, the threads really worked in the Halloween Hysteria Event!)
I am your Captain and your Vice Captain.
Right now, as of Saturday October 25 of 2008, the Crew consists of Drakonis Darkblade, Dr.Elfy, and Dunkballz. (Lots of D's.) I hope to hire a few more crew members, but we'll have to deal with what we have for now.
Now, to define the 'requirements' of the crew members is a hard task. I have tried to come up with tasks and duties that the crew must do but, being solo, I cannot do this quickly and easily. Therefore, let's build this guild up in the manner that I wanted it to be built up. I want this guild to be a, more or less, democracy - the voice of the people/non-crew members!
Also, dealing with the RP threads: You may post wherever you want in the Role-playing subforums and whatever you want as long as it is G rated and as long as it is descriptive.
What do you want to see in this guild? This is YOUR guild as much (generally speaking) as it is mine.
So, please tell me what you think about all of this! (I can take criticism.) ~Margem

Well, I have made a subforum just for voicing your opinions. There will be at least 10 threads that I will want you to go through to help form this guild. xD Yay for voting.... ~Margem

Personally, I think there are two equal necessities for a Crew member: organization and reliability.

Demon, I suggest that you check out the threads that we HAVE before you ask something like this, just an FYI, because I've had this thread for suggestions/invites open since AUGUST. ~Margem

MaverickShin Personally, I think there are two equal necessities for a Crew member: organization and reliability. ...how would you suggest that we 'measure' these skills? I love hearing what you (and everyone else) has to think, so just "fire away" without killing anybody. ~Margem

Alright *fires shotgun off in random direction*, we can survey how they handle and organize their RP threads, and for reliability see how well the respond to RP's they've created and are participating in. Proper setting control, holding conversations with multiple players without getting confused, and answering in time to RP's promote those traits. Would you feel sorrow, show love, or would it matter?

I'm sorry that was rude of me to freak out on you like that but what you wrote above has bothered me i'm not hard to get along with as long as your not rude to me. How am i suppose to know it's there if i'm a new memeber who only joined this month and with all those topics in the main forum how do you expect them to find one specific thing?

If I were to die, murdered in cold blood tomorrow... Woah, chill, The True Little Demon. Margem's a little stressed out as of late, so she can get testy. Would you feel sorrow, show love, or would it matter?

{A defense of Margem's thinking}
To The True Little Demon, First, let me say that I meant no offense. I was just saying, check the stuff out we have before asking me about having a thread. It's, according to my thoughts, common sense. It's like saying, "Let's have a Halloween thread" a week after I had already started it and announced it. ...a bit unnerving, to say the least.
Second, the way that the main forum is set up should make sense, if you notice what the topics are. The Announcements are the threads that say "Hey! Look at me! I'm top priority!". The Stickies are the threads that say "I'm important but the Announcements are higher priority. Check me out when you can!" The other threads are regular threads for randomness (chatting, quizzes, opinions about non-'guild threatening' topics). In other words, if it was important and had to be addressed right away (within a week or whatever), it would be in the first category: Announcement. If it was important but not necessarily used all the time, it would be a Sticky [remember: sticky means "don't lose it though it might not be as active"]. If it is random and not really important (like chatting about one's day), it would be in the regular thread category. So that means that the threads are set up so that you don't HAVE to look through all of them! If you notice, MOST of the threads are actually quizzes for fun, not necessary threads. ....you can check out the Announcements and the Stickies for major things (eye-popping news).
Third, my blood-boiling topic: what the heck made you think that I am saying you're hard to get along with?! What the heck makes you think that I am putting you down? Just because I capitalize a word does not make me mad. It's just an emphasis. In other words, I was not going " scream Stupid newbie!" in the last post. I was trying for a " smile Try checking out the other stuff before asking, just in case". If I had a problem with you, I'd tell you (flat out) because that is my style. However, I do NOT have {emphasis to point out that I don't have} a problem with you. Please, don't think that I am taking you to be an idiot just because I emphasize what I am saying so that my 'talk' can come out clearly.
Fourth, you're not the only new member. I gained forty plus members over the Halloween Event just by starting two role-playing threads in the Event. In other words, you're not the only one around here that's new. I try to keep that in mind but I'm having a problem with that right now considering I am trying to get the members (Crew and Non-Crew) to give me opinions and very few are actually giving me opinions/tips. ...I'll give you a break if you can give me a break... And I may not be able to see that something really is as 'invisible' as it is because I've been around more than any of ya'll have. I'll admit that I did not have a title saying "Invite" for the thread that you were wondering about but I also have to admit that some (not necessarily you) don't know what the levels of threads mean. ....so, though it may frustrate me, I am learning too.
I will say no more for now. I apologize if I offended you in this letter or in that one sentence earlier, though I didn't mean to. ~Margem

To MaverickShin, Thank you for trying to stand up for me but please please please don't talk about how I feel (aka "she can get testy", though it's true). I mean, it doesn't help my reaction when I can react... aka, it actually made me upset that you said that I WAS upset (when I wasn't, actually). I was just trying to make a point in a nice way with emphasis on the words to point out something.
Anyways, I appreciate you being around, especially since you are trying to help me transition between 'smallish' guild to 'small-getting-bigger' guild. sweatdrop
I'm sorry if I offend you with this letter but I had to say what was on my chest. ~Margem

sweatdrop Oh crappage. ....I think I just made my 'image' worse with those two letters. I wasn't trying to be mean!!!!!
Well, everyone, Margem is not perfect. She does try sticking up for herself, though.
I'm just trying to make the guild 'user friendly' and into a democracy but then I get assessed as 'upset' at someone when I wasn't. ... v.v Anyone have self-esteem boosters? I'm sorry that you have to see my 'snot' side right now.... crying gonk ~Margem
