Felyndax groaned, wiping a hand across his brow. It'd been a long day, but they'd nearly finished with the current task. He was a quiet sort of man. Hardly said a word to his co-workers. He listed and watched, mostly content to ignore them and get his job done with.

Nadia was out wandering, bundled up against the chill wind in a coat lined with faux fur. She shoved her hands in her pockets and wriggled her ankle, fixing a pant leg. Aah, much better. She passed the shore, sniffing the salt air and staring out at the blue abyss. It was so...big! And to think, someone might be out there looking her way too...

Dax didn't notice the woman until he'd been given the clear to go for the day. He frowned and gimped out towards her.
"Hey." His voice was deep, rough. It matched his look. His skin was a darker blue, his hair a grey-white. He was stubbled and dirty and rough looking.

Nadia didn't seem to mind his looks. if anything, she was attracted to his working-man muscles. She just smiled and waved, blushing slightly.
"Hi!"

Dax frowned at her, rubbing at his cheek.
"S'not a good area after dark." He warned, voice still deep. "Specially for a girl on her own."

"It's okay. I have mace," Nadia said with a sweet smile. She'd also taken a self-defense class for a month or so.
"Thanks for worrying, though!"

"All right." After a moment, Dax gave a little half-grin. "Better watch out starin' at the sea, though. Merman might catcha and try ta steel ya."

Nadia snorted. She figured the man wouldn't have said that, had he known, and so she took no offense.
"You look a little like one yourself!"

"Ooh! So am I!" Nadia giggled, and then offered a fingerless-mittened hand, "I'm Nadia!"

Dax paused for a moment, then reached out. His hands were rough, but he was obviously careful in shaking her hand.

Nadia had a very strong handshake for a girl. Very confident and masculine. She giggled though, offsetting the absurdity of the whole situation.
"You're cute. Wanna go get some dinner?"

Dax laughed, surprised. He didn't get called cute often.
"Sure. S'long as it's about as classy as I am. Don't fit in most places."

Nadia grabbed her pigtails and waggled her head.
"And you think I do?!" she giggled, "Come on." The girl began down the street, half-skipping.

Dax shook his head and followed after her gamely. Gimp aside, he kept up with her pretty well.
"Don't see many girls with dreads."
