Poison Ivy ~*~ Nightshade ~*~ Larkspur

Tan hooves were placed warily as a bright green Fallen picked his way down a rocky, uneven path, bells jingling lightly with every step. The ground was tough, more stone then dirt in most places, with the occasional root or patch of scrubby grass scattered about. Between the scraggily trees and tall weeds, the lithe stallion had found one of the few paths down the old hill, a path obviously worn by the passing of many creatures.

Rounding a bend in the path, the Fallen gazed at the gradually shifting landscape. The weeds gradually began to shift to bushes and the trees became taller and had a greater sense of dignity. As he approached the bottom of the hill he was greeted by the sound of a babbling brook, as well as a familiar voice.

“ Larkspur, how glad I am to see you! I confess that I did begin to doubt your coming.”

The stallion, Larkspur, trotted to the mare’s side and dipped his head in greeting.

“ Poison Ivy. You said you had found something wonderful that you wished me to see. What of it?”

“ Come, I’ll show you.”

Turning about, Ivy made her way further into the trees, Larkspur trailing after her. After a short distance they came to stand upon a rocky heel thrust out above the stream that Larkspur had heard earlier.

“ Well, what do you think?”

“ Of what?”

“ This place!" She cried, moving back towards the trees," The sturdy bones of this earth, the golden light in the trees, the lively energy of this stream! Would it not be a good place to call home?”

Upon reflection Larkspur was forced to admit that there was a sort of rough, unpolished beauty to the place. He was just about to answer when he heard the sound of wings beating the air and the loud clatter of hooves on stone. Turning his head, he saw Nightshade, Ivy’s son, standing on the rocky outcrop.

“ Mother, not everyone is obsessed with dirt and twigs.”

Ivy’s voice did not change, but a queer gleam had entered her eyes as she responded,” Unkind things are best left unsaid.”

Larkspur eyed the winged stallion, a mix of curiosity and dismay growing in him. As a colt Nightshade had shown great promise, but as he grew he changed and Larkspur found that he did not like the changes.

“ I like this place well enough.”

Isabell ~~ Serena

The plants around seemed so unusual as her white hooves touched the soft ground one at a time. She knew she looked like an idiot trotting around weirdly, though she couldn't help but to. Her silvery pink eyes darted from here to there. The pink of her skin seemed darker, as she knew the trees were beginning to thicken. They seemed taller than others back along the path. It looked as though the weeds were few, and in their place were bushes.

Coming to a path, it was obvious that many had traveled among this path. Serena wasn't so sure as to where it went. Mustering up some courage to go on, she stopped prancing around weirdly, and went on trotting like a regular Fallen would. Finding that the scene changed, the landscape shifted, and rounding a bend there was a soothing sound of a stream nearby. As Serena wandered closer, she heard voices of other Fallen. Maybe two, though to her it sounded like three.
"I wonder," she whispered to herself a little curious.
Although she was shy, Serena was trying to be more outgoing. It was the best way to get to know other Fallen.

~~

Her tail splashed around playfully in the water, as a frog hopped on by along the bank. Blowing bubbles as she dipped her snout gently into the cool stream. Although the stream was small, Isabell had found a larger body of water, that, if she followed long enough, eventually came to the oceans where she roamed, as did other nova. Though she found it quite relaxing and peaceful.

Isabell pulled her snout out of the water to listen. Faintly she could hear the voices of other Fallen. It seemed to be more down the stream. As she tried to decide whether to go or not, Is automatically scooched onto the dry land.
"Having these wings are quite useful," she smiled to herself as she looked like a long serpent just above the ground, flying gracefully. Plopping down into the stream with a soft splash, Isabell continued to listen.

Floki

Floki was hurrying to the place where other stars already were. He saw that Ivy was interested in this lands and was wondering what her next decision would be.

'' Hello mother. Larkspur. Did I miss anything? ''
PostPosted: Sat Nov 01, 2008 9:24 am

Nightshade huffed as his presence seemingly went unnoticed, tail twitching in irritation. He supposed that Floki was still angry with him because of his deal with Moloch. He still stood by his decision and didn’t understand Floki’s anger – it was a deal with mutual benefits, after all – but he was glad that his mother had yet to hear about his bargain. Poison Ivy always seemed to have an open mind, but for some reason he suspected that his alliance would not be something of which she would approve.

Poison Ivy nuzzled Floki lovingly before answering his question.

“ I am thinking that this shall be one of our homes, so that we might have a place to rest while in this area. Does it suit your tastes?”

Ears swiveling about, a portion of Ivy’s attention was grabbed as she heard the trees whispering about a flying fish. Trees were generally amongst the wisest of plants, so she wondered why it was that they spoke about something as absurd as a “flying fish.” Motioning for the others to follow, she went to the stream, pausing as she eyed what she could only assume was another Fallen.

“ Well now, you are no flying fish!”

Isabell turned her head to look at them, "A flying fish, that's something I haven't heard before," she laughed to herself. Seeing as to how many other Fallen had come, the one that caught her attention was the darkest of the group.
He had what seemed to be unusual looking wings. The vines that curled around his hind legs, told her that he shared a resemblance to the first Fallen she had seen. This one Isabell noticed also was different from most Fallen she had seen. Beautiful colors of green, and vines too, that curled elegantly around her neck, legs and tail.
What was her name? Isabel thought for a moment, as she remembered hearing it. "Mother? Is that what I heard one of them call you? You seem as though you'd be connected to nature itself," her tone kind as she spoke.

Serena heard someone mention a flying fish, as curiousity got the better of her, she went to join them. Though her mind spaced, as she too saw the odd Fallen in the stream, she did make sure to stay a few feet behind the others. "How different," she whisered. In the short time she had been wandering in this new world, she had never seen a Nova with wings. But there was a lot she hadn't seen yet, that was soon to come.

Floki turned his head in Nightsades' direction. He was indeed angry of Nightshade especially of his rashness and the deal he made with Moloch. He sensed that Moloch was very dangerous star and wanted to warn Ivy of him but he couldn't do that without telling her of all that happened and he didn't want to get his brother in trouble. So he made a decision to keep Nightshade on eye and as far away as he could from the place Moloch called his own.

'' I'm sorry brother I didn't see you there. You seem quite today did something happen? ''

He looked once more the land that was surrounding him and felt some inner peace. He felt like this was the place he could stay forever.

'' This place is beautiful to me. ''

Ivy's sudden action surprised him and the sight of nova with wings even more. So he stood watching with interest this new star.

“ I’ve a pounding in my head thanks to the ceaseless cries from a tree infested with beetles. There is naught I could do, and told it such, and yet it would not be silent.”

Ivy glanced over her shoulder, studying Nightshade, the strange glint having returned to her eyes. It was obvious that, whether by fate or by choice, Nightshade did not have as much sway over plants as his mother. What was not quite as obvious was how Poison Ivy felt about this. Pity, despair, anger; whether she felt many emotions or none at all, she treated Nightshade just as she did Floki.

“ It was your choice to do nothing, for you might have eased its passing, or at least have given it company.”

Having corrected her son, Ivy returned her attention to the winged mare before her.

“ I have borne only one child, and yet Floki is my son in all but blood. I am named Poison Ivy, and yet you may call me what you wish. My name is a symbol of my status, a servant of this earth, as well as a warning, for I am a host to poison.” She paused, admiring the beauty of the one she spoke to. Ivy was aware that she was beautiful in her own way, and yet her beauty was of a wild and bold sort, whereas the mare possessed a beauty far more soothing and graceful. Her colors reminded her of water, something she found quite appropriate. “ What my I call you, lady of the water?”

As Ivy spoke, Larkspur had been thinking about those things that the finned female must have experienced, and felt a small flame of jealousy lick his heart. To feel the ground race beneath one’s feet, and to feel the wind in one’s mane was joyful, and yet this female had the fortune to be a part of both the sea and the sky. Trying to tamp down on his jealousy, he heard the whisperings of another Fallen with his keen ears. Turning, he spied a pink mare, graced with horn and hooves as pure as snow.

“ Greetings, milady.”

"I see," Isabell gave a quick look over Floki. His markings handsome in their own way and his eyes a striking green, but all three of the Fallen were beautiful. Most were, especially because each bore their own markings and sometimes different little things. Like she, herself had the wings, which must seem weird to most other Fallen, because it was rare among Nova. "You do look the part. It must be wonderful to have a knack for nature, and poison even though it is deadly, it can be beautiful all the same. As you portray it to be," Isabell commented, "My name is Isabell, though most just call me Is for short."

Serena nearly jumped, as she hadn't even thought any of them had heard her. "Hello," she greeted back in a calm, friendly voice. The black, winged stallion was handsome, as she noticed his eyes were a red that reminded her oddly of blood. Though they seemed to suit him well. A necklace hung around his neck, as vines were wrapped around his hind legs, and a faint green glow to all fours. "You can call me Serena," she smiled moving closer.

Floki felt sorry for Nightshade. He was his brother and although he was mad at him he also loved him too much to stay mad for too long.

'' I'm sure you tried you're best. ''

Floki was surprised when Serena showed up out of nowhere. She looked sweet and he noticed she was looking at Nightshade. He went closer to his brother, nudged him and smiled innocently as all young males would when they see nice looking female whispering to his brother.

'' It seems she likes you. ''

Larkspur was not entirely surprised that the pink mare’s attention was focused on Nightshade. Bowing his head – not that he expected her to notice – he took his leave and went to stand at Ivy’s side.

Hearing Floki’s whispers, Nightshade turned his head so that he might better see the mare he spoke of, having seen her only out the corner of his eye before. She seemed quite ladylike and he felt pride in the fact that he had garnered her attention. Straightening up, he felt a small stab of annoyance that he was still smaller then Floki, but quickly brushed it off and lifted his head proudly.

“ A pleasure, Serena. My name is Nightshade, and this is my brother Floki. Might I ask what brings a lady such as yourself here?”

“ You flatter me, Isabell. Do you live in these parts? I have not explored thoroughly, but I did not see any place that seemed suitable to house on such as yourself.”

Isabell thought for a moment, as how to explain. "Well I usually stick to the rivers or lakes that open up into the ocean. It's the only way for me to be able to explore, though I have limits," for a second she felt a small sliver of jealousy toward the Fallen. They could roam on the land as they pleased, where she was only allowed about an hour at the most on land. Though it melted away. "But the ocean is the main body of water I stick to, and I had to use my wings to get to this stream."

Serena bowed her head in greetings to the two. "Well I was just passing through and thought I might stop to explore the beautiful land here," her voice was kind, though inside her head she was trying to decide whether to stay, or make up an excuse to leave. Being shy a lot of the time made it hard for her to socialize, and she was trying not to be her regular shy self. So she stayed, taking a few steps closer to him. "So what brings you two here?" Serena really didn't feel all that compromised to leave actually. An air of friendliness seemed to float about the group.

Floki bowed his head also to greet Serena. Seeing his brother in a better mood he went to listen what closer to Ivy and Larkspur to hear of life in water Isabell was speaking about. He was very interested in what beautiful sights can be seen there.

Atalanta

Her white hooves made almost no sounds, as she trooted through. The roses placed in her mane and tail, only enhanced the pale pink light that seemed to follow her cheerful auras. Finding herself in the most elegant part of the woods, Atalanta ventured toward a group of voices she could hear. Rounding a corner, she nearly ran into a stallion with a pair of striking green eyes. "Oh excuse me," she apologized a bit embarrassed, coming to an abrupt stop before the stallion.

Floki was surprised and left speechless when he turned his head to see this new stranger. '' Such beauty... '' he thought. He needed few minutes to pull himself together and smiled.

'' That is ok. I am Floki. Tell me with whom do I have pleasure of speaking to? ''

Atalanta thought she caught a sparkle in his eyes, though she let it slip for now. "It's a pleasure to meet you," she bowed her head in a respectful greeting. "I'm Atalanta. I was just passing through, how did you come to be here?" she asked a bit curious.
