We have a couple Soquili that want to get into the Halloween spirit.. but they're going to need your help!

We have a mare and stallion (provided by the lovely Lil and Zoo) who need outfits, (and a mane for the girl!) so it's your job to design what they should wear!


What you need to do:

You may choose either mare/stallion/both and design an outfit (and mane!) for them to wear as a costume. You are free to draw/doodle/masterpiece your artwork onto the image itself, or feel free to reference/describe designs with your own drawings or words. We're not looking for the best drawn, we're looking for creative/cute/unique/etc ideas and outfits.

Our favorite mare and stallion designs will then be drawn onto the horses, and will be awarded as prizes to the faaaaabulous designers who created the outfits!


Rules to remember:

~ Feel free to be unique in your design, or you're welcome to make a cosplay costume. Just make sure you don't replicate a pre-existing cosplay! (So trying to make another Tuxedo Mask, Roxas, Audrey II, etc just won't work out!)

~ If we catch you using either of these bases for anything outside of this thread, you WILL be facing a greylisting or potentially even a blacklisting. So no using this for quest designs/goofing off/anything aside from this costume contest!

~ NO MUTATIONS. Must be a costume/accessories edits only, no additional features that would change the horse's breed/species.

~ You may edit your post up until the contest's closing time.

~If you choose to sketch over the pet, you may NOT use the image you post elsewhere. Not as a reference, a quest pic, ANYTHING. The image you make is for this contest and this contest only and thus may only be posted in the contest thread, no where else.

Any additional note: Those things around her ankles are grass bands ((think hula dancer stuff)), I'm sorry, I'm not very good with a mouse. The bands around her tail and high on her leg are supposed to be metal and around her neck is supposed to be a rope with a diamond shaped gemstone. Her mane is braided down her neck so that the mask does not mess up her hair.

This was a lot of fun!

Any additional note: First off my sister wants me to call him Sherlock Holmes. Random, yes. xD Now, on to details. He wears wire rimmed square glasses and carries a magnifying glass more for show then anything. His coat was done in a style I've seen Antigra using and thought it was completely amazing. It has a collar like a nice shirt, but it's a little hard to tell.

Yeah, still lots of fun!

Give us a name for your design: Classic literature- Shakespeare rocks!
Image: The edits for this would actually be very light. All I would want added to the image is a tattered and wind blown robe- something that must have once looked magnificent and royal, but now has clearly been in the grave for some time. A small vial of a green liquid (poison) should be about his neck.
Any additional note: The character idea is from the play "Hamlet", by Shakespeare. As noted in wikipedia (it's the fastest way >.>)
. Once alone, the ghost describes his wanderings on the earth, and his harrowing life in purgatory, since he died without receiving the ordinances of the Catholic Church, such as Extreme Unction. He tells the young Hamlet that he was poisoned and murdered by his brother, Claudius, the new King of Denmark, and asks the prince to avenge his death."

Given the entire theme and the Halloween spirit, I thought this apropos. Classic literature+purgatory+vengeful ghosts=win!

Name of Soquili (name the horse!): Carmilla
Give us a name for your design: Original vampire literature
Image: A small mole/freckle on her neck- this is most important of all, I should think. Small fangs would protrude from the corner of her mouth, with only the slightest of blood stains to mar their perfect whiteness. Her hair would be long and dark, looking as though it has just been reached from bindings- almost seductive, with plenty of full body. There should be an almost reddish tinge to the black, making it blood hued in the highlights. A red thread runs through her hair, looking almost innocent and playful. I find the body too beautiful, so I do not want any clothes or edits of that sort on her- I think it's fitting, in a way. All of the references would derive from the hair and the small details, and I would love if her smile could be slightly altered into more of a smirk, if possible. The devil is in the details, as they say.
Any additional note: Again, I have taken my inspiration from classic literature. "Carmilla" is one of the original vampire stories, and one of the first to revolve around a female. It's also one of the first works of lesbian fiction, written in the 1800s (randomly enough). It predates Dracula, and was said to serve as a major inspiration to that story. Even if you don't choose my concept, I think you should read the story- it's quite wonderful, and it's all online! Carmilla

Any additional note: I didn't try any edits for this one. *not very good at them* Besides, if he were wearing a clown costume, what would make him unique from the others? ;D Any additional notes on coloring and such is on the image itself. ^_^
Edit: Oops! Just noticed I put on the top 'rainbow underbelly,' and then had 'white and gray dots on underbelly.' Please ignore the rainbow underbelly one. XD

Any additional note: Dark red swirls throughout dress. The black lines are mesh, therefore the dress beneath is darker under the mesh. Pendant on choker can be any shape.

Any additional note: Well the stuff in her hair is supposed to be silver chain jewelry wrapped around her hair.

Sherwood Rondevu? Pourquoi? well I sort of imagine that if Maid Marion snuck off to Robin Hood's camp, she'd look like this. Not smart enough to take off jewelry obviously~

After making him, I remembered that there is a Soquili with branches coming out of his body in the Halloween event but I swear this was not an attempt to copy him.

Any additional note: -lots of bronz-y colored beads
-The hoof hair completely covers his hooves (Same color as mane.), and trails off whispily/ghost-like.
-Black peacock feathers. Start out his mane color and turn to black (More black then what I've done ;; )
-Shin guards has frills at the top of them~
