rats are really misunderstood and i hate that they are rats are the most sweetest pet ever! if any people have pet rats please tale to me! =]

Awww yea I agree! I have 2 gerbils and a hamster, and i think mouses/rats are very underrated as pets too! People should choose rats as pets more xDD

My sis has a pet rat and he's pretty nice. I've always wanted a rat for a couple years ever since I handled one at a pets store and I may have to wait to get one...cuz my grandparents don't like rats and that's where I stay on the weekends plus I can't keep animals in my dorm room. crying

Thats a shame that u cant have any rodents, but I have 2 gerbils and a hamster and I think that they are well worth having. they are so cute, they arent hard to take care of and they are good pets to have in general, maybe in the future you might get a rat/mouse?

I work at a pet store and whenever someone seems remotely interested in a hamster or small critter, I brag and brag and brag about my babies, bust out the wallet complete with pictures and show them the rats that we have (which are unfortunately under the 'feeder' slot of things). However, because of my bragging and all the socialization and playtime I give our store rats, the past few months all of them having been going home as pets. Mission accomplished! ninja

I'm afraid I just lost my oldest male, Abel. Now I have three males and three females, Lilly, Stitch, Bubbles, House, Wilson and Stripes.

my pet rats I have had three over a period of 8 years have been affectionate, one would lay round my neck and watch tv till she fell asleep, then another would lick the tears off my face and snuggle and I even trained my rats to come when I called them, yes I called them by name and gave them a yoguart drop.

I think they are amazing animals and I am a lover of under appreciated pets as I keep cockroaches!
