The wicked grin on Dogo's face was something the antelope at her paws had not lived to see. The leopard was still excited from the rush of the hunt...and the fact she was now big enough to help hunt for the fledgling pride. For with each creature she killed to bring back to the pride for food, her skill grew. And once her skill was enough...She chuckled at that thought.

Once her skill was enough, she would make the demons pay. Pay for what they'd done to her, to her adoptive mother, to the adoptive brother she'd never met. Her thirst for vengeance had grown to encompass more than just what had been done to her. Now...it included every wrong she'd heard of their kind doing.

Great...her good mood was gone. She growled and moved to drag her kill back when something white caught her eye.

Nima'baha was back to wandering again... though he'd enjoyed the others he had met with so far, none of them had really felt right so far as spending more time than a few days with. He liked company, and companionship, but he still wanted to find that one other that he felt he was meant to be with, for all time.

So he was searching still, here and there without any real direction. In truth, he was starting to get a bit discouraged, having been at this for some time already.

Glancing up, he blinked as he suddenly spotted a young leopard close by ... oh. He hadn't been at all paying attention to where he was going. It looked as if she'd just caught herself some dinner too. Making a slight bowing motion, he called out, "I'm sorry I didn't mean to intrude."

Dogo raised a brow, keeping her hackles from going up. Definitely not a demon. Too damn WHITE. In fact...how did he hunt being so...well, OBVIOUS. Even her own coat had enough orange in it to provide the camouflage she needed to get close enough for the kill.

"No worries. You're not the sort I want to pick a fight with." She didn't want to pick a fight with anyone, unless they wanted it, or were a demon. Bad form to attack someone randomly...especially for something as stupid as walking in on the end result of a hunt. Of course...that didn't mean she couldn't be blunt.

"Though by your looks, a lot of creatures decided you made a good target."

Nima smiled almost ruefully at that and nodded, glancing back over his own collection of scars. "Yes... I am rather glaringly white, I know," he replied - tone light. He wasn't offended by the observation - after all, it was true.

"I'm glad that you aren't one of those who wants to use me as a target, ...?" he trailed off, as if waiting for her name.

Well...he wasn't the sort to take offense to her bluntness. Good. Too many creatures often did. "Dogo. My name's Dogo." She chuckled. "Few creatures in this area would use you as a target. Maybe some of the cubs...but they happen to use just about everything as a target." She looked rather annoyed now. "Including me."

Cubs...she wasn't one so long ago, and yet she had not a clue how to deal with them. She hadn't known how to deal with them when she was one!

Nima laughed softly at that, sitting down and licking at a paw for a moment. "Well, that's good... it's nice to find peace," he said quietly, looking around for a moment.

Cubs would always be cubs... he had seen his fair share of them here and there - though he hadn't ever gotten very close for fear of being chased away by the parents.

Dogo frowned. "I wouldn't call it...peace, per say. We won't have this calm for much longer...not once the demons discover we are near." She sighed and shook her head. "All those here are a demon-hunter of some sort. Even some of the cubs know exactly where they wish to be when they grow up. Others may leave to other prides."

She hoped few left...their numbers were not very strong yet. And strength was something they very much needed, if they were to stand up to their enemy, so very, very close. She smirked. "It's a good thing you came from the wrong direction and are very much the wrong color to be a demon."

Nima nodded slowly at that. True... if they were training fighters, it likely wouldn't be long before their enemies figured out they were here. And then, things would be difficult.

"Well, if the rest are like you, then I think those demons should fear you," he said lightly, with a little smile for her.

Then he laughed softly and nodded. "Indeed... I do believe if I had been a demon, you would have defeated me rather quickly."

Even the gruff Dogo was subject to flattery. She flushed a bit, somewhat put off by the words of praise from someone outside the pride. "You're right...I'm not big, but I am fierce and have been training long and hard." Hunting demons was her life. Especially the one who had maimed her.

"Now...you have my name, but I seem to be missing yours..."

Nima blinked, then colored just a bit himself. "Ah, I do apologize. I am Nima'baha," he replied with a little almost bow-like bob of his head.

He smiled at her again, then and nodded. "I would imagine that... you have a lot of determination as well."

"It's good to meet you, Nima'baha." A strange male...but one she didn't mind. Most males got on her nerves badly. "I...have reason to have determination." She pat one of the many scars that littered her body.

"When I was still young, a demon did this to me. Took away half my sight and left me to die with his mark carved into me." Her teeth bared at this. "I intend to make sure he can't do it again."

Oh dear... well, that would certainly explain her conviction to wipe them all out... Nima shuddered slightly. It was bad enough that one of his eyes was weaker than the other because of a similar injury. But to be completely blind in that eye... would be terrible.

"It seems we have something in common, then," he said carefully - motioning to his own scarred-over eye. "Although I did not get this from a demon..."

Dogo reached a paw out to touch his cheek, helping her focus on his own scars. He bore just as many as her, if not more. She smiled awkwardly, but kindly. "We have both overcome adversity to stand where we do today." She pulled her paw back to rest on the ground.

"We are scarred, but we stand here strong of body and mind. We did not let those who hurt us take us down."

Nima felt his chest swell a bit at her words, and nodded. "That... is very true, Dogo," he said with a quick smile.

Instead... they should hunt those who had hurt them. Especially if it meant ridding the world of more of their kind. It was not simply revenge. It was ... right. And necessary.

Dogo nodded. "There...are a few like that in my pride. Not all of them have physical scars though. For some, the hurt is only on the soul." Like her adopted siblings. Though Tara now bore scars of her own from training, the ones that bothered her gray sister most were the scars from loosing Bavu.

"If you would like...I do not think anyone would mind if you rested a bit within the pride."
