Rusty carefully did his dishes, checking back on his oven every few minutes. He was trying to make something! It was horribly sweet and something that he shouldn't be eating... But he wanted to be.

Shiloh entered the home moment later and was certain he could see his own breath. Opec's tail poofed and he wrinkled his nose, looking around the kitchen. Something smelled good...

Rusty hummed to himself, wearing a very patched coat. He watched the oven very, very carefully. So carefully, he didn't notice his visitors.
Hoss did. "Wut-ee!" He warned. Rusty stood with a start and turned around. His cheeks and nose were red, but he grinned happily, looking almost bashful.
"Hi, Thiloh."

"Hey. Opec and I were just on our way to church," Shiloh smiled and gave a little yawn, "Wanna come with?"

Rusty looked at Hoss and nibbled his lower lip.
"He... He getth kinda loud." He mentioned meekly. "And my pie'th almotht done. But I do wanna come!" He added quickly, looking up at Shiloh with his big eyes. He did, Shiloh!

"Well, you kin go ahead and finish up that pie. We have time," Shiloh said, inviting himself to sit at the nearby table, "and don't worry. A lot of babies are loud."

At this point, Hoss would probably stay quiet to be someplace warm. He huffed, snuggling under his blankets again. Ararar. Colds.
"It won't take too long." Rusty assured him. Yay, church! "And... And we can come back here, and have the pie ath a treat. That'th... That'th okay, right?"

"Apple." Rusty smiled, again looking bashful, and looked to the ground. D'aaaaw. He pulled open the oven and sniffed, taking it out with a towel. "I think it'th done." He said softly, now smiling at the pie. Mmmm, cinnamons~

"Great!" Shiloh said, "I love apple. Now, put it some place safe and grab the baby. We're gonna be a little late as it is." Blue yapped from outside. Was church time, Daddy! Time to go!

Rusty put it on a towel and scooped Hoss up. The baby howled when they headed outside. DID NOT WANT COLD!
"Where'th your church?" Rusty asked. It'd been a long time since he'd been to church, and an even longer time since he'd been to one that hadn't been bad for him.

"A while away," Shiloh said, hopping up on his tractor. Blue hopped up into the back and Opec was lifted into Shiloh's lap. In the back trailer sat a little space heater. Yay! Warm!

Rusty followed him in, holding Hoss on his lap. The infant quieted down at the warmth, giving a little annoyed sigh. It was Hoss. He was never happy.
"Thank you for taking me." D'aaaw. So happy. "I'm glad you thtopped."

"I figured you'd want to come with us, and I haven't been there a while myself," Shiloh said with a little smile, "So we'll make a big family affair of it!"

Rusty smiled, patting Hoss's back.
"Um... I... I don't wanna be a bother," He said softly, "but could we take the pie back to your houthe when we get back? I don't have heat. It'd be more comfortable for you there."
