The Travelling Slumber Party!

Cypress had realized that, while she went to class with a lot of other Empyreans, she hardly knew all that many. Sure, she ran into some in places like the library or the Flora Gardens, and the Sushi Party had been loads of fun, but things had been rather quiet since the Sushi Party and the search for Diamond. She was starting to feel a bit lonely, in spite of Raya's always-hovering presence. So, she came up with a rather interesting idea; a travelling slumber party!

What exactly is a travelling slumber party, you might ask? Well, it's a slumber party (where there really is no slumbering, of course) that moves from room to room to room! Her goal is to have one room in each District, so that everyone can move around a bit. Of course, seeing as it's a bit of a surprise, she doesn't have other rooms lined up yet, so she'll just have to hope that other Empyr's will volunteer their room as the next big party spot!

Games!

Each room your Empyrean travels to will have 14 pillows; two of each of the above. As your Empyrean enters, they must take a pillow! They may not choose the pillow they had in the room before, unless there are no other options left. Before moving on to the next room, the Empyreans with pillows that match have to tell each other 3 facts about themselves that few other people know!

If more than 14 Empyreans attend, I'll get more pillows!

Schedule!

Opening Room: Cypress!
  • Truth or Dare
  • Finger Sandwiches and Punch
  • Start of Pillow Game
  • Bring your own music!

Room 2: Belwen!

Room 3: __________ ((could be you??))

Room 4: __________ ((could be you?))

If you'd like your Empyrean to host a room, just give me a shout, along with a few games or what refreshments are going to be served in your room. If there's a general feel, you can send me that too, or you can just describe it when they lead the way to their room, or however we end up doing it. If we have more than 4 rooms total, I'll just add them, so let's keep the party rolling!

Cypress rushed around the room, making her last-minute preparations for the party. She had been putting up posters around all of the major classes for a few days now, and inviting those that she saw and passing out flyers. She could only hope that there would be a good turnout. She was worried that she had missed a bunch of the Ones and Twos, but she could only hope that they saw her posters.

Cypress was a clean person by nature, but she had polished everything in her room until it shone. All of her school supplies were in her trunk, which had a pale green tablecloth thrown over it and a variety of finger sandwiches arrayed artfully on balanced plates. A bowl of fruit punch governed on her desk, with glasses splayed out behind it. Streamers danced around the room to add a festive look and many balloons were inflated and dangling their strings down to brush against the heads of the taller Empyreans.

She had added tons of extra pillows to her bed, making it appear more like a severely over-sized couch than anything else. A CD player was open and ready for the first disk to be inserted and Raya was fluttering about expectantly. With a purple ribbon tied in her hair and a new shirt -- a crop-style top with a lace tie-up in the front, Cypress felt she was ready. She opened the door to her room and stood, arms as always held sing-songingly behind her back, and waited for her first guests to arrive.User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. User ImageBelwen paused in front of the mirror in her room; she hadn't ever been to a slumber party before but she was thrilled to hear there was going to be one. It had taken her sometime to decide what she was going to wear. The slumber part of the party made her consider wearing some sort of pajamas but it was also a party. After some consideration she had chosen a cute but functional top in her favorite pink that went very well with her hair; and then for bottoms she had fumed for sometime before deciding on wearing a pair of wide legged pants made out of some sort of comfortable material. If they were going to be wandering around all night she wanted to be comfortable, with that in mind she had taken extra time to put her long hair up in a french braid. Giving herself a once over she decided she looked fashionable and yet casual.

She wasn't sure what the host was going to be offering or if she should bring something. Frowning thoughtfully she decided against bringing anything, she didn't know the type of party and no one had told her specifically to bring something. She didn't want to appear rude by showing up with unwanted extra.

Picking up her little handbag that happened to match the pink of her shirt and blue of her eyes she headed toward the assigned room, Cypress. If she remembered correctly she was the pretty choleric that had attended the sushi party; remember how her soon to be host had reacted to the punch she left the schnappy back in her room. Afterall if it turned out to be that sort of party she could always go back and get it.

Turning the corner she could see Cypress standing outside her room, smiling she waved in a friendly manner. "Hello, I heard you were having a party." Her eyes flickered over and she smiled warmly to the hybrid that fluttered nearby, it was a very pretty creature.

Cypress smiled as she heard Belwen's voice; her first guest had arrived! Raya creened a welcome and fluttered over to Belwen, nosing her cheek before fluttering off again. Yep, sure am! You're the first one here. Come on in, and grab a pillow! Cypress said with a bit of enthusiasm, gesturing in the room towards her bed where the pillows were all arrayed.

Cypress had to hand it to Belwen though; she always seemed to know just what to wear! She was always fashionable yet functional, and she seemed a very pretty, yet practical girl, not the ditsy type that were so stuck up about their appearance that they'd wear next to nothing in the freezing cold. Cypress smiled; she kind of liked Belwen, really. You wouldn't happen to have any good party music, would you? Cypress asked a bit hesitantly. Truth be told, she had no idea what to play! She couldn't decide what everyone would like, and she doubted she had any of that, anyway. Even with her new insights with music class, all it had done was make her even more doubtful of her possible choices!

User ImageMorrow had seen the posters in the hallways for the past day or so and had been considering going to the party... he really should meet some of the new people around here, and outside of class. As much as Morrow didn't seem to be the social type, he liked talking to people and could be rather charming when he chose.

He had asked Dariyn if he wanted to go too, but he wasn't sure whether or not his lover would show. He knew that the other was shy, but he hoped that he might show up. But then again, it was very nearly a last-minute decision of his to go at all...

Eyeing himself in the mirror in his own room, he finally decided that he would do and smiled faintly. He was dressed in some 'pajamas' that really ... weren't. Under normal circumstances, one might call his shirt a dress, as it was long and sleeveless - falling almost to his ankles. However, there were slits up both sides, revealing a pair of loose-fitting pants beneath. The collar was simple, fastened by a series of Chinese knot buttons. He also had a pair of soft slippers on - the whole outfit designed in muted purples and blues, with subtle patterning. Hm... he almost hoped Dariyn came, if only to see this outfit.

But at any rate... time to go. Heading out the door, he made his way to Cyrpress' room and tilted head at the pillow game with a slight smile. So getting to know you games, hmmm? Well, that was part of the point, wasn't it? "Hello, ladies," he greeted softly, coming into the room and choosing one of the pillows.

Cypress looked up from the beginnings of her conversation with Belwen and smiled warmly; another dressed in pajamas! Now, Cypress didn't feel so silly with her purple and blue plaid pants she was wearing and her hair in a sporty pony tail. She felt right at home! And, people were showing up; that was also a good thing! With her being so new, she had been afraid that no one would know her and, thus, no one would come to her party. Belwen seemed pretty popular, so there were a lot of people at her party; even Ones and Twos, if Cypress remembered right. Still, even if her party was smaller, Cypress was determined to have a good time with it. The boy that had entered seemed familiar from class, and Cypress was doing her best to be warm and friendly to everyone, even people that were pretty much perfect strangers to her. It stressed her shy nature slightly, but she did need to meet people and get out of the closet, so to speak.

Welcome! And I love your outfit! Cypress said warmly, though she was trying to suppress a giggle. It seemed Raya had her own way of greeting every guest to walk through the door. With Morrow, she was hovering behind him, though hiding her body so that, from the front, it looked like Morrow had sprouted numerous pairs of reddish-brown, flapping wings and a striped, plumed tail. Cypress bit her lower lip, holding back her laughter. I see you've already grabbed your pilow, so there's sandwiches and punch over there she said with a rather general gesture towards, oh, the room in general. Okay, so she was still a bit nervous about the party, but she was determined to have a good time. She could only hope that enough people showed up to have matches for the pillow game!

Morrow smiled in response to Cypress' greeting and made a little sort of bow in her direction - not having noticed Raya behind him yet. So that wasn't likely to help with the 'extra appendages' look he was currently sporting, all unknowing.

He laughed softly. "I tried to choose one that no one else had yet... so that it would be more random," he admitted and moved over toward the refreshments, poking at them for a moment or two. Then he poured himself some punch and sipped. "Mm... it's good, did you make this?"

User ImageBelwen turned slightly to see who the new arrival was; she smiled in greeting and let Cypress move over to greet the next guest. While the two interacted she took a moment to look the new arrival over, his outfit was very tasteful she decided and after noting the others in their pajamas she was glad she opted not to wear one of her dresses. She looked around the room attempting to locate the audiodeck she moved over curiously, "music...depends really on what sort of feeling you want in the room. Dance music or maybe something quieter in the background so it's easier to talk with it going."

Pausing she picked up a pink pillow with a butterfly design on it, deciding to take the one with the pattern that appealed to her the most. She glanced over toward the drink table as she saw the two migrate over and made her way to the other two.

Smiling she looked over to Morrow, "I don't think we have met yet, I'm Belwen." She then made herself a drink as well a bit curious about what it would taste like.

Cypress blushed slightly; she had indeed made it herself, though she had thought it only passably good; nothing spectacular. She beamed quietly and nodded at Morrow. Yes, I did. I'm glad you like it she said quietly, moving towards the audiodeck and looking through her limited music collection. Something quieter, Belwen had said. But . . . she doubted classical music would be a good selection for a party, and that was mostly what she had. Aha! Some Irish fiddling music . . . slightly up beat, slightly lower key, and quiet enough to talk over. She switched the music on and closed her eyes for a soft moment, enjoying the music, then opening them again and headed back towards the punch bowl, pouring herself a glass as well. You could really taste the fruit in the punch! Taking the ladel, she dug down into the bottom of the punch bowl, a slight frown on her face. A bit of poking about and the lumps of sherbet floated up to the top with a slight fizzling sound. Ah, there we are! she said with a smile, topping off her glass and offering to top off theirs as well with the sherbet goodness added.

At Belwen's introduction to Morrow, Cypress got nervous. Yes, her name was on the invitation as the hostess, so everyone should know her name, right? But . . . she'd be quite rude if they didn't and she didn't inform someone . . . oh, the dillema! Suddenly Cypress wished she was a bit more sure of herself, like Belwen seemed to be. Even Morrow, who normally seemed rather shy in class, seemed to be doing better than she was. She took a deep breath . . . she had to relax.

Of course, if she had known that Raya was now behind her, playing the same trick as she had on Morrow, Cypress might have found there all the relaxation she needed. Instead, she sipped her punch, not sure what to say to keep the conversation going, the wings flapping up, down, up down behind her head and the tail swishing back and forth, right where a tail would be on her if she ever grew one as she aged.

User Image A Pair of Twos, hand in hand, drew towards the door and peered in, the silvery blue one poking his head in to blink at those inside before a large smile blossomed upon his face. Tugging on his Echo, Argentum stepped fully into the room and glanced at Aureus, "We knew this was the right room. It looks like fun."

Aureus had stepped up behind Argentum and slung a hand around the other's shoulder. As always, they were in close physical contact at all times, rarely moving out of arm's reach. "A good idea, agreed." Noticing that the Zeroes had pillows, the tall apprentice prophet moved over to the pile of pillows, a motion that was echoed at the same time by Argentum. It seemed the older they'd grown, the more in tune they were with one another such that they moved and spoke as one quite often.

As one, they reached for a bamboo-patterned pillow and Argentum held it against his chest as they turned. If memory served, the host of this little gathering was one named Cypress. Gold and Blue eyes scanned those around and settled on the choleric - someone they did not recognize. Dressed in their normal attire, Aureus and Argentum moved over to Cypress, paused a moment as the others spoke then smiled at the topic. Sweeping into bows (Aureus' was more refined for it is difficult to bow with a pillow held against you), they offered charming smiles to those around before turning twin gazes on Cypress, speaking at the same time, "And we are Aureus and Argentum. You are Cypress? Lovely music."

User ImageGlancing up as Belwen came to get a drink as well, nodding slightly at her introduction. "Morrow," he answered simply - though the way that he said it wasn't rude. He just ... tended not to waste words. His name was enough to get the point across, as now she knew who he was.

Looking over as Cypress poked at the punch, Morrow wondered what she was doing... until she managed to get the sherbert unstuck. "Ah, there was supposed to be sherbert too?" he murmured, then held his glass toward her. "Thank you."

He heard a noise over toward the door then, and turned, spotting the two Echoes as they came into the room. He remembered seeing them around before and smiled with a little wave toward the two.

Cypress gladly topped off Morrow's glass then turned around as he waved at someone -- oh, two someones! Cypress had never met a pair of echos before, but seeing how similiar they looked and how they acted as one person split into two bodies, she knew what they were. She smiled warmly as they approached, and chuckled at their greeting.

A pleasure to meet you two! I'm glad you like the music! she said, sounding slightly relieved; the music choice was something she had been quite worked up about. Still, a bemused and slightly embarrassed expression found its way to her face. Um, may I ask which of you is which? she asked, peering up into their faces from her lower height.

She noticed the blue one, Aureus or Argentum?, had the same matching pillow as herself. Smiling that there was finally a match, she waited to figure out which one, exactly, was holding the pillow. She'd hate for one of her three "Uncommon Facts" about the other to be their name!

Raya, on cue, slowly rose up between and behind the echos, looking from one shiny halo to the next with utmost fascination. She nosed the halo on the gold one's head, sneezed cutely, and whisked away, hoping to be chased. She was really in fine spirits tonight, and was going to be up to some mischief as well, it seemed.

User ImageThe twins waved back at Morrow, smiling pleasantly. The name seemed familiar... Maybe Dariyn had mentioned it at some point? When recognition dawned on their faces they exchanges quick glances, small knowing smiles and waved again at Morrow. "Greetings~"

Argentum blinked, tilted his head, "Which is which...?" Then he chuckled and shook his head slightly, "Argentum." The silvery blue twin bobbed his head and stepped closer against Aureus, snugging up to him with a happy grin.

"Aureus. It's a pleasure to meet you." The golden twin nodded his greeting as well, only to pause as goosebumps raced up his arms - Argentum's too. The halo was an outward manifestation of essence and to have someone nudge it was like a intimate embrace for them, a sensitive part of their bodies. In tandem, they turned to look and found Shaya whisking away. Aureus' curious expression turned to one of bemusement, so too did Argentum's as some sort of silent exhange seemed to pass between the two. Aureus mussed Argentum's hair and the pair returned their attention to Cypress. "Your Hybrid is a fiesty one, what are its components?"
