It was early dusk and Apollo stretched as he exited his current home, a small plastic dog house in some back alley that everyone forgot. Shaking out his long white fur, silver eyes cracked open a little to see where he was going. Blast him for always keeping them closed. Shaking again, and rubbing the sleepy seeds from the corners of his eyes, Apollo set off for the park. He had agreed with his friend Venus that they would do some hunting and hunt they would. Slinking out of the back alley and around a couple of turns, he found his way back toward the park. Peering about the near empty streets and sidewalk, he scurried across to the hedges and past them before anyone could really see him.
Taking a breath, he looked around the glowing park, the sun was nearly set and the humans were at home with the families, well most of them at the very least. Stretching once more in the freedom of the part, Apollo looked around for her, wondering perhaps he had thought it was the wrong night... Or something... Walking down the human path he leaped onto a bench and sat down to wait, he didn't see Venus yet, perhaps she was waiting for him else where... Only time would tell and he was going to sit there... For now.

Venus had arrived early, if Apollo wanted to spend time with her she was going to take advantage of it, even if it was just just hunting. She had been laying under a tree watching the leaves fall. They were beautiful shades of reds, oranges and yellows. The light from the setting sun was really setting off the colors as the leaves fell around her. Without really meaning to she started to blend in. She cocked her ear to the side when she heard paw steps and turned her head slightly to see Apollo approach and jump onto a bench nearby. 'He hasn't seen me, that silly boy never looks around.'
Leaping from the spot were she lay she threw herself at Apollo. "How could you just walk past me like that!" She wasn't so mush trying to startled him as she was just trying to let him now she didn't care to much for being ignored.

Apollo turned his head, silver eyes prying themselves open as he looked back toward the autumn colored feline that he had come quite fond of in a friendship tip way of course. More feelings were boiling about inside him, but he couldn't really understand what they meant, not at the moment anyways. Head tilting to one side as he watched Venus and his fur fuzzed out at the mention of just walking straight past her without even truly looking around for her.
"And for that I am sorry. Seems that I grow careless at times and not look around." He said rolling over some before rolling off to sit before her. "So you hungry yet?" he asked with a sort of a grin.

"Well," she said as she fell into him "as long as you don't miss me again sweetheart." She nuzzed him under his chin and then pulled away, "I'm not to hungry yet but let go now before I do it hungry and my tummy rumblings scare everyone away" She stood up and stretched her body, "So where to boss?" She once again nudged him playfully. "I won't get to dirty will I?"

Apollo eeped softly as Venus dropped atop him before chuckling and wrapping a paw around her to hold her close to his fluffy side. "You will only get a little dirty when you make the kill and pluck the feathers" He nodded nuzzling against her in return for her affection. Looking around, Apollo eyed the trees in the park before picking one where he had found birds before. Releasing Venus he gestured with a paw toward the tree and started towards it.
"I have found birds in this tree before, who knows there might be some in it tonight." He said softly before clambering up to a branch and looking down to Venus seeing if she were to follow. "Just have to keep as quite as you can to keep the prey from knowing you are here and it will be easy to catch." Leaping to another branch he caught the bark with his claws and hoisted himself up. Leading the way into the higher branches, silver eyes ever watchful got things that would hide within the leaves and branches.

Venus followed close behind Apollo, climbing ever so carefully so as not to make a sound. She really appreciated Apollo spending time with her she was going to do her best to impress him. With the dark of the night had come the silents of the birds "Are you sure it was this tree" she whispered "Do you see anything" Her pupils widened as she tried to catch sight of any movement. "Perhaps a bit higher, I think I see a nest." She climbed ahead and stopped and looked down at him. "Do you thing I should try it on my own, or do you want to show me how it's done first?"
