2nd is way different then the rest and at first it was confusing but its not that bad

i've read some stuff on 2nd edition, but never learned the rules. it seems interesting, but confusing. all these caps, and wierd backward variables...

ya the most confusing thing for me was the way they do the AC and check rolls which are opposite of 3rd and up. the lower you roll the better on checks and the lower your AC the better

i think it was supposed to be a way of preventing anything getting better than a certain amount. so that 0 was the lowest, and therefore you couldn't be any harder to hit than that, and the lowest you could attack with is 0 so you couldn't hit any more accurate than the hardest to hit AC.

you could break the 0 cap for AC to a max of -10. but you couldn't get -10 attack score without some kind of super epic items.
