So as to not take out any element from the book, cause I loved the book as is, this story is after the books.

Now then... The Intro

The battle to keep magic alive has been won, and Richard has taken Kahlan to see all of the gorgeous places in the Westlands, Zedd has gone to Aydindril to help those rebuild and to unlock the Wizard's Keep from barrier that was placed upon it for it's safety, Cara and Nikki have followed after Richard and Kahlan, and all the Sisters of Light and their boys that survived the war have followed Zedd in going to the Keep to learn and teach.

Now that the battle is over a calm has come upon the land. However; there is a silent battle that has been raging of the simple existence of Human Changelings whom were originally created using Additive Magic and Subtractive Magic to be field spies, and their hunters a secret cult whom believe the Changelings are evil

Richard Kahlan, Cara, and Nikki are within the forests of Westland when they were surprised by a young woman running in fear running through the forest seeing them she quickly ran away in a different direction, she is then followed by a man with a crossbow, cocked and loaded, he then follows in the same direction as the woman.

What are these Changelings?

These Humans whom are called Changelings were created 3000 years ago as a way of spying on the enemy whom were out on the field or even going into the depth the Old Word. These people are always human, they can't change into other humans but they can change into any creature non-magical and magical however non-magical are easy to transform into while magical are harder, Dragons being the hardest and need the most concentration. One special physical feature that they have is a birth mark in the silhouette of an animal in any pose, this is shown when transformed, with dark furred creatures it's light colored and when in a light color furred creature it's dark colored. Some people are lucky to have their birthmark able to be hidden under clothes while others are unlucky by having it noticeable. When the barrier between the Old and New world went up these people went into hiding or simply kept their abilities a secret fearing what could be exploited from them.

When the Changelings disappeared they either disappeared into the woods or stayed in the towns and villages. Those that stayed in the sight of people learned that if they ever used their abilities the could run the chance of being used as political weapons, and because of that they don't use their abilities. Those that disappeared into the woods learned that to survive it was best that they did use their abilities to run.

History note: Most Changeling never went as far as Westland until after the Boundaries went up for safety from the Hunters, because they knew that anywhere they could be found out.

Who are the Hunters?

The Hunters are a cult of people whom were started when first Generation had seen some of the Changelings transforming while hunting (Thus their name). The cult originally started with one family, about 500 years ago, and as the years went by more families have joined, now it has 6 different families all believing the same thing that the Changelings are unnatural even in magical terms (In their opinion). Their leadership is determined mostly by first born unless the previous leader has made it known that they want someone else in charge (Which has rarely happened at all) and then a council of 5 vote to determine if that should be the best course of action for leadership. To determine themselves from the populace is a tattoo of a bow and arrow about to be fired in the palms of their hands (If that isn't possible then it will be under fabric on their arms closest to where their hands would be).
