Name the website
It is basically, Gaia, but how it should be, and with a different spin on it. Think of a name for it! There's one issue...
it must me ???online.com, where the ?'s is where you put your own words and name. (It won't actually be .com unless someone wants to cough up)
Suggested names so far:
Terraonline.com
Lunaonline.com
Fenrironline.com
Once we get to about ten maybe twenty names, I'll start doing a poll.

I really don't like the online part at all... that's just me.
If it's how gaia should be, then does it have a story line that doesn't suck? If so, shouldn't we base the name off that?

Well if we're setting out to establish ourselves as a Gaia online improvement site dissect the name.
Gaia. Greek primordial deity of the Earth. That gives us several possiblities:
Primordial deities
Chaos
Aether
Gaia
Uranus
Eros
Erebus
Nyx
Tartarus
I personally like Aether or Erebus.
The online part could be perhaps replaced by net or something similar so we end up with something like:
Aethernet.com
Erebusweb.com
Just suggestions and the second part is definetly not perfect so.....

Most of the online.com names are taken, or would require a $16 payment.

The server donator, is basically saying he wants something where it looks good. ???online.com looks professional of some sort. We also have to stick to catchiness. I might be able to persuade him against the online thing, if there's a strong enough poll for it.

If he's going to be bankrolling it then we should let him have that. I think thats more than fair. I mean I know we should retain independancy and not give him control but letting him have some major points is a good idea. After all he's nice enough to step in when we need him we should step in when he wants something back right?

Guess that's true. I think he was trying to keep it close to gaia, with the online.com aspect, so it could be seen as an alternative to gaia, and equally catchy.
