((Note: The cubs haven't come yet but me and Monkey couldn't wait to begin labor. We won't be actually birthing the cubs until they have been posted just so everyone knows.)) 
Sitting on the bank of the island she lived on with Xanthus she was surprised by just how dark the morning was on this really cold day. The whole atmosphere was gloomy and a bit scary but it wasn't even being noticed anymore as more dark clouds came in with lightning and thunder coming from them. Something else had her attention now, it was pain that knocked her to the ground right off the bat. Her natural senses told her exactly what it was. The cubs that had been causing her a lot of pain were ready to cause her even more pain before they left her body for good.

Ever since Xanthus found out he had knocked up Jupiter he felt a bit of an obligation to spend more time with her, much to the dismay of his clueless boss. After a night plagued by insomnia, Xanthus had just fallen into a light sleep to the sounds of the thunder rolling in. The chaos was calming to his twisted mind, to him it represented danger and death, elements in which he cherished. If he only knew that for those reasons exactly this morning would be the most interesting of his life.
He heard the thunk of his... knocked up female and he slowly opened his eye as if he were going to slit her throat, "you had better be dying..." Was he completely serious? No of course not! He quickly swallowed his words when he realized Jupiter was on the ground.
"Are they clawing again?"

Labor was only beginning but it felt like it had to be at it's peak. These labor pains were certainly not going to be a walk through the daisies. She only barely heard Xanthus speaking as the pain subsided and went back to what it had been before. "No. This isn't the normal pain that comes with their clawing. They're ready and by this pain wanting to kill me." She told him as she took deep breaths while trying to keep her fears in check.
"I need to get inside before the storm starts though." Her gaze was on the clouds above that were becoming more menacing with every second. Slowly she climbed to her feet and started for their den while hoping another contraction would wait until she was inside.

Should he help her inside or could she make it by herself? Was he really going to be made a father, right here, right now? So soon? It wasn't long ago she even became pregnant.. But whos to say when the exact date was, they were doing the dirty up until she began to gain weight.
"I'm... Supposed to be working today..." Was really the only thing he could truely say. There was this feeling inside of him that had been slowly growing lately inside that was tugging on his normal ******** up demenor. How can such a bad thing happen on such a beautiful morning?

She was slow but she managed to make it to the entrance of the den before another painful contraction forced her to the ground. Tears began to well in her eyes from the intense pain and a small cry escaped her lips. As quick as the pain came it was gone. Her whole body shook as she tried to recover and get up. "So what?" She replied finally to his statement. Turning her head so she could see Xanthus there was pure fear that was evident in her gaze. She did not want Xanthus to leave.

Jupiter gave Xanthus the look in which he recognized only as the look his victims gave him before he began torturing them. It was a look that gave him power over them and fed his fire of cruelty. However coming from the lioness that was about to give birth to the cubs that he had fathered was quite the opposite. Although it did make him feel some sort of power, this power was to protect and take care of this female.
"So.. When I do go, I'll be receiving lashings for this..." There was a sudden change of tone in his voice when he said lashings, not for fear of what Lancelot would do but everything had suddenly set in. Females were not supposed to be scared when they gave birth, were they? What if something were to go terribly wrong?
With a little bit of a sigh Xanthus grabbed Jupiter by the scruff of her neck and dragged her into where she would be free from the rain that was about to begin to fall with the crashing lightening.

His words irked her but she knew they were true. However in her condition she was not one to tolerate such words. "You be sure to tell him if he wants to lash someone he'd better think twice this time around." She snarled out as another contraction hit. She didn't fight Xanthus as he dragged her into their shelter and out of the coming storm.
Pain shook her body until she was completely blinded by it. As the pain subsided she found herself completely out of breath and panting. "I... I don't know if I can handle all of this pain." She said while trying to relax while the pain was gone.

Xanthus paid no head to her words and simply went "uh huh" as he watched her body shake with pain.
"Sure you can..." Was all he could really say, nothing in his experiances has prepared hm for anything like this. When he watched Floria give birth alone and ashamed he was laughing his a** off, this was completly different. Jupiter had a very high pain tolerance, if this were anyone else they would for sure die by now.
The great white lion laid down beside her with his skull pupil watching her closely and his head down next to hers. "I'm here...Nothing'll happen."

Jupiter's muscles relaxed a bit as Xanthus layed down next to her and she felt a sort of security with his presense and words to her.
The contractions went on for a few more hours with Jupiter only barely staying conscious through them until finally her body began to bear down on it's own. This new reaction caused her to gasp and she joined in with her muscles automatic reaction and bore down. Bearing down brought a completely new pain that felt like razors slicing her body from the inside out. A pure painfilled scream forced itself from her lips that lasted until the contraction and uncontrolled pushing muscles stopped.
Her whole body went limp once the contraction stopped. "Oh. My. God. Oh my go..." Her words were cut off as another contraction came and her body unvoluntarily bore down. Another pain filled scream rang through the damp air as thunder, lightning, and rain continued outside. With one more contraction and involuntary push a small cub dropped to the ground completely covered and surrounded in blood.

Xanthus watched Jupiter plop out the first cub. Something was very wrong with this picture... First he sniffed his son to make sure it was alive, once he discovered it was alive he tried then to discover what was wrong with it. "Jupiter... I think... There's something wrong with it..."
It sure did rip her open whatever it was. It was surely his cub, it looked too much like him not to be. But when there was no responce from Jupiter he looked up at her worriedly. "...Jupiter...?" The cub had spikes, half a face... and SPIKES... And Jupiter wasn't responding to him? Nooot good...

Jupiter wasn't hearing anything, pain was attacking her again as there was still more inside her. Her body began to shake as her weakening muscles attempted to bear down again to expell the next cub. The scent of blood still floated in the air even in the wet conditions. The pool of blood behind her became bigger and bigger until another cub appeared in the pool of blood.
The pain in her abdomen slowly subsided but the burning between her legs did not as the birth canal was torn to bits and continued to bleed. Her head was spinning and her body weak as she barely managed to raise herself up to finally look at the pair of cubs she had birthed. "Are... are they ok?" She asked with her voice evident of how weak she was.

"Uhhh..." Xanthus was horrified as he looked at the second cub that wasn't as contorted as the first one was. Was there supposed to be this much blood?
"Define okay..." He watched the cubs for another second then slowly looked up at Jupiter with a look of extreme uncertainty. Aside from the cubs, there was something extremly wrong. Jupiter didn't stop bleeding... And ther were peices of flesh on the metal spikes of the male and the unsheathed fully grown claws of the female.
"Jupiter... Are you okay? What do I do now?"

Jupiter was barely keeping her eyes focused but she forced herself to stay awake. She had to know her cubs were ok. "Um... Breathing and moving?" She replied to his first question. It took her a moment to comprehend his last questions as all her energy went into keeping awake.
"I think so..." She replied to one and kept her gaze focused as best she could on the cubs even though at times it all just became a large blurr of red. "Uh... Pick one and clean it off... We need to get them nursing."

Pausing a second Xanthus took the male and began cleaning Jupiter's blood and ofther such liquids off of him. There was so much flesh he had to be sure not to fall into his temptation for a blood lust. It was easier for him not to fall into it while he as staring at Jupiter wondering if she woul be okay. After the male was cleaned off he put him to feed off of Jupiter.

Jupiter waited until Xanthus had choosen which he wanted to clean and then she took the little girl and though rather slowly began to clean her. Her cleaning took a bit longer than the boys did by Xanthus with the ocassional stopping to focus herself again. When she finally finished she placed the girl by her brother and allowed them to nurse.
The blood flow from Jupiter had still yet to stop but she was too weak to even try to get it to stop so instead she layed her head down upon the floor. She was so tired and so tired... She didn't even have the strength to bring her head back up off the ground now that she'd layed it there. Deep down a dark fear hit Jupiter but she kept it to herself as she feared saying it outloud would only make it real.
