October 22nd --------- Jidai Matsuri

As I have found out it is the kimono parade or something like that.

My suggestions:
We shall create a thread (No posting one) before hand (I'm not exactly sure which forum to put it in). It will have the carefully done first post describing the event
("Gion Baraen proudly presents Jidai Matsuri, the kimono parade, lalala you'll see the best geisha of our quaters, lalala. in their magnificent kimono, lalala All gaians that have kimono are welcome to participate in the parade and all the others are welcome to see this rare sight")
and announcing that it will take place on October 22. at a settled time
We will put that in our sigs (together with the link) and "advertise" it a bit beforehand.
On the day and time X we'll gather in this thread all wearing kimono and imitate a parade, with communication with the visitors. Perhaps souvenirs to guests (and mostly to non-guild participants ((those who also have kimono))) will come in handy too.

Any ideas?

I'll settle the thread, but I'm not sure where to post it.

I can make some sort of small banner to "give away" as a souvenier to those who will watch the parade. I'll make and post it later.

In other news...the HANAMACHI RP is now OPEN! *is shivering with excitement*

We shall also need an advertizing banner for our sigs. But it'll be possible only after I set the topic. What forum will it be in? Any ideas?

wonderful...but we should have pre-week celebrations, as well!. Preparing for the actual day. Chatters who have been there the whole week get SPECIAL keepsakes and are entered into a drawing for something. I might contribute an item or something... ^.^

I'll have to look into my inventory and wrap a few things. <3

Well, for Japanese people, the word for pleasure quarter which they use probably doesn't have the same effect on people as it would in america and similar countries, because americans are so perverted lol

I think we should have a thread in which the parade would take place, and then afterwards, have people join in (artists and such) who would take 'booths' (maybe get a special promotion spot in the thread) and offer special deals for people who post in the parade thread.

We could use Barton...again...max exposure, lots of people will just jump in, esp. if we don't ask for profiles. And besides it's the only fitting place.

We'll just have to be nice and explain in our first post that all posts must relate somehow to the topic, that other discussions will not be tollerated and so on, bescides, can't we delete posts in threads made in barton?

Nope...we can't delete other people's posts even if we are the ones who made the thread.

And about the standard invites, yeah, I think we should make one standard invite for all the ozashiki we will be doing.

I'll start setting up the thread then. I am the only one who can edit the thread, so, review and think of what to change/add. Leave any comments here, I'll be changing the festival thread as long as the discussion develops.

I'm too busy the weekend... So I'll be more active during the week.
We can be making banners for the thread.
And by now I (and as I noticed, Toneriko too) have ads in the cigs. You could do the same.
