This is a guide to battling with your eevees. This is not hack and slash battling but an RP based battle system. With that said NO GOD MODDING! If i find you doing this you will be warned ONCE and if you do it again you will not be allowed to battle. Eevees are not invincible and they can't fly (unless its a flying type) and no jacky chan flippy crap. @_@
Battle System
A TRAINER HAS THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ANY BATTLE! If you think the match up is unfair you dont have to accept the opponent who posts in your thread.
- All pets start out with the same HP (20)
-Each person rolls 1 6 sided die to determine who goes 1st. Highest number wins.
-1st player rps an attack and rolls 1 20 sided die to see if they hit. 1-8 is a miss (1 being a critical failure causing 1 damage to you and 8 being a close miss. rp as is fit) 9-20 is a hit (20 being a critical hit, doing double damage and 9 being a hit but a close one. rp as is fit.)
-The next post is still the 1st player. You rp your attack or your miss and if your attack hit you will also roll 1 6 sided die for damage. If you missed, you just rp your miss.
-Player 2 now rps their pets attack/ reaction while rolling 1 20 sided die to see if they hit.
-Player 2's next post will contain rp for a hit or miss and a roll for damage (if it was indeed a hit)
-Player 1 is next to post and it continues until one of the pets HP drops to 0.
-Moves that are 2 turns use up a lot of energy because they do more damage. They can only be used 3 times per battle unless you buy PP ups. If you crit with a 2 turn attack, you add in the +3 AFTER you double your damage. You are not getting +6. You roll your 20 sided die to see if you hit ON YOUR SECOND turn. The first turn you use the move you rp your charging up.
-You will always do AT LEAST one damage even if after all the math it would be a -5.
A Note on Type Differences
A pet can use ANY MOVE OF ITS TYPE and normal types moves. SO a jolteon can do thunder, body slam, tackle, thunder punch, etc. There is however a small list of other type moves some pokemon can use...like how a jolteon can use pin missle.
Using a type that is not your pokemon's type has its disadvantages.
Say your pet is a vaporeon. In addition to its slew of water moves, your pet knows blizzard. When your vaporeon uses water gun against a flareon, it gains a +1 to its damage roll because water is strong against fire. When a vaporeon uses blizzard against a flareon it gets a -2 to its damage. Why is this? Vaporeon is not an ice type so when it uses blizzard it rolls damage at a -1. Flareon is strong against ice so thats another -1. So whats the point in buying blizzard? Your vaporeon can use blizzard against a leafeon at a penalty of 0. It gets the +1 since leafeon is weak against ice but gets a -1 because vaporeon isnt an ice type so the negative balances out and there are also ways to boost your special attack meaning you can add more damage to your blizzard.
Where do I battle?
-You make your own thread up. One thread per battle so it isnt confusing. Your title can be something like LOOKING FOR A BATTLE! because each battle has its own thread you may come back later to finish a battle you may have had to end due to dinner being served.
Any questions? feel free to post here!
