 The young mare had found that she longed company more and more. It had been so long since she had gotten out and met somebody new. But perhaps that was how it was supposed to be for her? But no, she didn't like that idea. So today, she had set out in search of somebody new. Not necessarily a new friend, but if she gained one out of her experience, all the better!
She soon found herself by her father's favourite willow tree. She looked down at the lake nearby and smiled. This is where her mother and father first met. She smiled as she looked around, seeing if there was anybody in sight.

The stallion still didn't quite know his way around this new land. His purple ears flicked about as he followed a blue butterfly to wherever it lead him. "Slow down." He said with a small smile as he chased after the butterfly. His chains rattled with each step he took. Papillon's nervous eyes glanced about as he thought. Where were the humans? Were there any around here? It didn't seem as though there would be any.
Finally, deciding to rest his mind and body, Papillon made his way towards a lake. The butterfly he was following had the same idea and was still leading Papillon slightly. As he cleared his thoughts of the humans new thoughts formed in his head. Where was he and who might he meet in this new place? His only plans for this day were to make friends and explore the land a little further, nothing more and nothing less.

She suddenly heard a sound that she had never heard before. It was something that she couldn't explain. It sounded like two very hard things were rubbing together and making a horrible noise that was like a mix between a crash and a tinkle. She looked around, trying to find the source of the sound.
She knew that her father would not approve of her being so curious. After all, a mare needed to be careful, right? Well, that was all her father's idea. She found nothing wrong with exploring and using her curiosity to learn more about the world around her. She left the shelter of the willow tree and followed her ears to see what could be making such a sound.

Papillon flicked his long tail slightly, as he did so the roses in his tail moved slightly and the butterfly that was resting on them flew away from them for a moment before returning to where it was happily taking a break. Five beautiful butterflies that fit in perfectly with his markings and colorings flew around him or rested somewhere on the stallion.
The butterflies were his best friends. He had been with them since his basket days. Most didn't believe that these were the same butterflies that had been with him since he was born, but it was true. Papillon believed them to have magical powers of some sort. Would they be there when he finally had foals? He hoped so and believed that they would. His blue eyes glanced around and suddenly something purple caught his attention. It wasn't often that he saw purple in this new place.

As she followed a curve in the bank of the lake, she saw something that immediately caught her eye. She had never seen that colour on anybody except her and her mother. She smiled and moved forward towards the stallion.
"Hi, my name is Nituna. I like your purple colour! I didn't know anybody else had it besides me and my mother!"
She smiled and giggled a little bit, tossing her braided mane to the side as she did so.
