I haven't been in the guild for some time, except to lurk and admire baby pictures here and there, but, now I have a great reason to be coming back!
I'm preggers again! Woo-hoo! This will be baby number two, and we're sooo excited. We were actually starting to think it couldn't happen for us, but obviously, we were proved wrong. ^_^
I have no clue how far along I am, because I have low menstrual cycles (which led my dr. to believe the possibility of secondary infertility), so I can't count back...unless I count back to May, and I know there's no way I'm that far along.
I'll be going to my doctor hopefully by next week, so I'll be sure to keep everyone posted! heart

Why hello again, Loves. Congratulations! With a blood test or ultrasound, they should be able to pin down your due date. smile

PetitChat Congrats! How old is your first? Thanks! My first baby, Tristan is 20 months old. We wanted our two to be about two years apart, so it works out pretty well. ^_^

Pirate Dirge Why hello again, Loves. Congratulations! With a blood test or ultrasound, they should be able to pin down your due date. smile Thank you! ^_^ I'm glad to be back! We're kind of having some difficulties as far as getting some paperwork just so I can afford to go to my doctor's. The Medicaid office wants me to issue a birth certificate-which they have on file-in order to update my file or whatever. I was born in California, and I have to get a Notary to sign my application before I can even send it out, and I have no clue who to go to for any of that. So yeah. Kinda difficult right now. stressed

Well, to update: I went to my doctor yesterday for my first check-up--or so I thought. All that happened was I watched videos and got some blood drawn. The nurse also tried with extreme determination to find a heartbeat, but the baby just isn't far enough long yet. My next appointment is on the 18th, though, and I'm getting my full physical! biggrin
So, to sum up, my husband and I are guessing I'm at 6-8 weeks! heart

Congrats loves! I remember when we were pregnant at the same time last time. My Amber is 18 months (and incidentally would have been named Tristan had she been a boy!) I came back to announce the same news, and I'm seeing all the same people here that I remember!

MysticfawN Congrats loves! I remember when we were pregnant at the same time last time. My Amber is 18 months (and incidentally would have been named Tristan had she been a boy!) I came back to announce the same news, and I'm seeing all the same people here that I remember! That is awesome! I got pregnant two months after my sister-in-law last time, and she's about two months ahead of me this time, too! Weird how those sorts of things work, huh? Well, I thought I'd come in with an update (zOMG! has been consuming almost all of internet time lately >_<). I had my second appointment last Tuesday, and got my full physical. Right now, I'm at about 12 weeks. My doctor didn't hear the heartbeat last week, though, so I'm going in tomorrow to try and hear it. He said if he doesn't hear it, I'll be going in every week until he does. My husband and mother-in-law want me to go to the hospital for an ultrasound if they don't hear the heartbeat, though. Sooooo, I may be doing that, I dunno. I'm not as worried as they are, mostly because I don't feel like there's anything wrong at all. No cramping, no pain whatsoever there, and there's no funky smell coming my *area*. Plus, my doctor didn't raise any concern. I guess if I don't hear it tomorrow, though, I'll probably start worrying, and then it'll consume my every thought, and blah-blah-blah. I'll let you all know next week how tomorrow went!

Yes, do let us know! I know I'd be worried!
When I go in for my physical next week, my ultrasound is the same day, just before it. I swear I've been feeling movement already, but I can't remember when it's normal to feel that in subsequent pregnancies.

MysticfawN Yes, do let us know! I know I'd be worried!
When I go in for my physical next week, my ultrasound is the same day, just before it. I swear I've been feeling movement already, but I can't remember when it's normal to feel that in subsequent pregnancies. Okay, here's my update! Tuesday, my husband actually got to go into the exam room with me, because my mom took Tristan for the day. They don't like kids back there, because they're such germ magnets and it's not good for pregger ladies to get sick. Anywho! I swear, he is my good luck charm, because the assistant (my doctor had to rush to perform a c-section right when he was about to enter my room razz ) found the heartbeat! It was much faster than Tristan's was when he was 12 weeks; 155 compared to about 147-150-ish. Paul is even more convinced I'm having a girl now, but that's not official yet. Baby was just hanging out around the bottom of my uterus, under my pantline. I tried to scare Paul (my hubby) by saying, "You know I coulda SWORE I heard a slightly lower heartbeat when that nurse was looking around." Apparently, twins runs through my family a little bit, and he doesn't think he'd know how to handle three munchkins running around our tiny apartment. I'd be thrilled, personally, but I'd be hoping for fraternal (sp?) twins, not identical. There's no way I'd ever be able to tell them apart! Also, just on another note, I think I'm already showing. O_o I mean, I had a pooch to begin with, but it looks bigger, and it's tight! Is that even possible? To show at only 12 weeks? Hmmm, maybe I'm imagining things, but I dunno.

Ok, I'm going to say it again and lock the thread this time: we hope to see you in the Preggers thread with all the other pregnant women and their updates. wink
Pregnancies after the first often show earlier. I popped out at 7 1/2 weeks with my second and looked more pregnant then I was right out the gate. Stomach muscles tend to lose tone after the first and show bloat more after.
