I was looking through some of the archives here, and I'm not certain if anyone has mentioned this particular graphic novel:
The Five Fists of Science
It is absolutely wonderful, with the main protagonists being Mark Twain and Nikiola Tesla and the main antagonists are Thomas Edison and J.P. Morgan. I will not reveal any more than that, but it is a fantastic read, and definitely steamy.
Any other comic suggestions? I know Girl Genius has been mentioned many times over (and I do dearly love it), but what else have people found?

Confound that Edison! *shakes fist*
*ahem*
Looks rather splendid, I must order one post haste! Thank you very much for bringing word of it here. ^_Q

As for other suggestions; Batman: Gotham by Gaslight. As one might expect, 'tis a rather splendid version of Batman, had he been around in the Victorian Age. I'd say it's definitely worth getting. Whilst only the latter story is really steampunky, the first makes up for it be being drawn by Mignola.

Ruse is fairly steampunk depending on the arch but it's all very Victorian fantasy. It's spin-offs, Archard's Agents, are pretty steampunk too.
The Amazing Screw-On Head (which also has a cartoon pilot worth checking out). It's a Mignola steampunk so that's always fun. Plus, Emperor Zombie! Yay!
Of course there's The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen however it's an Alan Moore which makes it primarily for big kids. Just a heads up.
And then there's The Transformers: Evolutions. It basically follows DC's Elseworlds idea in the sense that it's all about Transformers existing in a different era, primarily the US during the Industrial Revolution. Mark Twain, Jules Verne and John Henry pop up and the Autobots transform into rather steampunk machines which is a hoot. You'll have to check out what they all transform into; for example Bumblebee's an automated spike-driver that races with John Henry.

Haha! Brilliant!
"If by "candy," you mean ancient forbidden evil, then yes, I told you not to put it in your mouth."
I don't understand why SciFi didn't pick it up, they need a few more good shows to balance out all the crappy movies they make.

It was too good, see; it'd put all their over shows to shame, and everyone would just watch the DVDs instead.

Haha, same here. However some people don't really like sex and violence to taint their precious comics. We must consider the virgin eyes of some readers, no matter how silly it is. lol

Steamgeek Of course there's The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen however it's an Alan Moore which makes it primarily for big kids. Just a heads up. Me and my girlfriend just finished reading it and loved it! The sex scene in the second volume was a bit odd, but as to be a gentleman I'll refrain from saying as to why it was for me.
