Huff....huff....huff... Jack's breath could be seen as he sped through the deserted, yet darkened, streets of London. His converse slipped and slid over the cobble stone back roads. He glanced behind him with a jolt of his neck as he strained to see if they were still there, chasing him. His blonde hair as wooshing back as his bright green eyes scanned in every which way. His breath shortened as he sped and turned a corner onto another street. He kept his fast face, rotating his arms like every other human being when they ran forward. His 'no-traction' converse finally gave in as he slipped on a misplaced cobble stone, wet with rain from the day before. Jack tumbled headfirst onto the hard, wet, and cold object. A large thud and a crack could be heard as Jack hit the ground hard, hot liquid oozed from his head. Jack had one last thought before he closed his eyes and disapeered, Too late...
Jackson Steel Harper was alone.
Jack awoke with a start, sweat covering his body from head to toe. He glanced around a bit and made sure he was in his bed, in london, and back into reality. He rbed his eyes and yawned as he stumbled out of bed, as if he never had that bad dream. Ofcourse, that wasn't the first time that dream had occured, they had been like that ever since his parents deserted him at Primatech, when he turned 15. He threw on a old pair of jeans and ruffled his already messy blonde hair. He walked into the bathroom and stared at himself in the mirror for quite a bit before grabbing his toothbrush and brushing, without toothpaste ofcourse... Jack walked back into his room and threw on a button up shirt while brushing. He glanced at the clock, 8:05 in the morning. He rolled his eyes and spit into the sink when he returned to the bathroom. He rinsed his brush and walked into his small and crammed front hall. He through on his black overcoat and a gray beret. He grabbed his mittens and walked out into the brisk Fall morning in London. He looked around at the fog-filled streets of early morning London. He saw earlygoers pass him by as he locked his door and walked out onto the dirty and wet sidewalk. He began to walk, his mitten covered hands shoved deep into his pockets. Jack glanced up at the cloud full sky, "What a marvelous day..." He chuckled to himself, "Wonder if anything exciting will happen..." He murmured sarcastically as he walked onto the mainstreet, a bit more people surrounded him and passed him by now.

((Wow! Thanks Kingdom, awesome drawing and I'm glad to be in your paintings/emotional freak out ^^))
Jack walked down the street, glancing down at the wet cobbled stones under him. He chuckled, recalling the dream that had just occured. As Jack crossed the street he focused his mind on his feet, making tiny frost foot prints wherever he stepped. They would remain imprinted on the street until the damp weather penetrated them and they dissolved. They disapeered quite fast, it was a dreadful day. He soon reached the park, empty and silent. He walked across the dark green grass covered in dew and mist from the skies. He found a wet woodan bench and carefully sat down, leaning back. He looked all over at the different faces passing him, maybe one, just one, was special like him. Maybe one would notice him. Maybe one of them, was his parents...

Jack sat there, on the bench, for a bit before getting bored of just looking. He got up, stretched, and continued on his way, blending back into the crowd of 'normal'. Soon he reached the corner of his bar, Scruffy Harper's Pub. There is a story behind the name, but that is for another time. He shoved his hand deep in his overcoat pocket and pulled out the keys, slightly frosting them with a thin layer of ice as he slipped the single key in and opening the door with the worn out handle. The minute he entered, the warm, stale, whiskey stenched air hit him hard like a wave of energy. He walked over to the bar, pulling down chairs, "Time for another one of those days..." He muttered.

After Jack was done setting up he relaxed. He sat down on one of the 2 couches in the crammed little pub. He leaned his head back, staring it the ceiling. After a while, Jack got bored. He got up and walked to the door, switching the sign to open, He knew no one would come until later though...

Jacob walked along the street, his head down and his hands buried deep in his coat pockets. It was chilly and damp, and that hardly put him in an overly positive mood. In fact, he was downright close to miserable. As he walked by the little buildings he stared at the windows absently, thinking. Suddenly as he passed one the sign changed to open. He glanced at his watch and shrugged. He had nowhere to be just yet, and he wouldn't have cared all to much if he was late to see his Aunt Lucy. Eager to get out of the chilly air, he entered. Curiously it was even colder inside, but as Jacob looked around he didn't really notice. He was much more distracted by the fact that he had just walked into a pub without noticing what it was. Feeling silly, he started to turn and leave, but decided it wouldn't seem all that great to walk into a building and leave five seconds later. Instead he found himself standing in the doorway frozen by indecision.

Jack was startled at first, hearing the jingle of the bells as the door was opened, but not closed right away. He turned around behind the bar. He saw a man there, older than he. He smiled, not really expecting anyone. He put on a mock smile and placed down a glass. "What can I help you with?" He asked, soon realizing his ability was emitting a cold presence. With a flick of his wrist under the table, the warmth returned suddenly in the damply lit pub, really only visible inside by the cloud covered sun outside.

Jacob shivered a little as the temperature change. Glancing at the other man Jacob noticed he didn't seem affected at all and dismissed the idea as part of his imagination. "Uh..." he started, glancing around. "Do you own this place?" It wasn't exactly the most creative thing to say, but he really didn't have a much better conversation starter prepared.

Jack chuckled at first and glanced around before nodding and turning back to him, "Last time I checked, yeah!" He said grinning as he picked up yet another dirty cup, scrubbing the inside violently, remaining in his laid back calm stage, this man did not pose a threat, at the moment.

Jacob blinked, suddenly realizing how stupid his question must have sounded. His hand drifted absently up to his mouth and he started chewing on his fingernail. Realizing what he was doing, he quickly dropped it. "So, has this place been around long, or is it newly open?"

Jack smiled, wondering why this man wanted to know so much about the bar, he shrugged it off and answered, "This pub was opened and first owned by my grandfather, eventually passing down to me" He said smiling and patting the countertop.

Jack thought it odd that this man was asking so many questions about the place. He nodded at the man as Jack began to put on his coat. "I'm going to step out for some air, don't set the place on fire." He said chuckling and winking all friendly like. He then left the pub and back to the real, normal, world.

((Nya! Sorry I kind of disappeared.))
Jacob blinked in surprise as Jack just up and left, then put his head in his hands. That was a total disaster. Unfortunately not the worst he had had, and not that uncommon of one anyways, but all the same he still wished he could sink slowly into the floor. See, now wouldn't that be a cool power? Or mind reading. Or invisibility. Then nobody would suspect anything, or at least you would know if they did. He sighed and plopped down in a chair. Despite the social train wreck of a conversation he'd feel kind of bad just up and going while the owner was out, especially if something happened because no one was there to watch the place.

((It's totally fine, same things happen to me all the time ^^))
Jack took a deep breath outside of the pub. It was around 9:30 at this point, rush hour in London. He walked across the slowly dryin streets as he started to walk across the street, not far from the pub. Jack was looking down at the ground as he walked, not paying attention to the oncoming traffic. Speeding around the corner and straight torward him was a double-decker bus. Full speed, no brakes, something had gone wrong. Jack heard the screeching and glanced up, seeing the blur of red speed down torwards him down the hill. He turned, planted his feet in the cobble stone road. He put his head down slightly, concentrating on his palms. From the ground came a wave of ice, two times taller than the bus. The bus sped right at it, up the ice made ramp and slowing down as Jack made a twisting motion with his palms, causing th wheels to be trapped in ice. He then slowly melt the ice, letting the bus come down to the ground.
At first, JAck didn't realize what he did. The minute he did he looked around, seeing all the witnesses. He widened his eyes and thought fast, jumping into the air, forming somewhat of an 'ice bridge' underneath his feet, speeding into the sky on a long ice strip, pulling water molecules from the air, freezing them. He knew there was a company that dealt with this stuff, the company that trained him and watched him, Primatech.

Jacob's eyes looked about ready to fall out of their sockets as he watched the scene take place. Scrambling out of his seat, he ran as fast as he could towards the accident, but by the time he got there Jack was long gone. Running his hand along the smooth ice in wonder, Jacob Watched as he disappeared. To think, he was so close to someone like him and he didn't even realize it until it was too late. There had to be some way to find him again.z
