Personality: Jacob tends to be shy around people he doesn’t know, but he warms up given time. For the most part he’s just paranoid about somebody finding out about his powers. He doesn’t really like change very much, and he can’t stand not fitting in. He also has a nervous habit of biting his nails, although he’s yet to discover the irony.

Power/Description: Cartilage Manipulation; The ability to control the growth and breaking down of cartilage in his body, mainly that of his nails, but also in his nose and ears. He can change both the shape and amount of cartilage.

Greatest Strength: He can use his nails as weapons as well as change them into other shapes.

Greatest Weakness: If he changes his nails too often or too much he can cut break the skin around them. They also can be broken, just like normal nails, especially when they are long.

Biography: For the most part, Jacob’s life has been average. An average family of two parents and a brother, an average pet dog, average grades in school, and slightly below average social life. When he graduated from college he got an average flat and an average job with an average steady paycheck and several average fellow employees.
It wasn’t too long after that that he started noticing his ability. His fingernails would grow abnormally fast, even when he cut them regularly. Not liking the idea that he might be different and starting to doubt his sanity, he quickly began trying to cover it up. At least three times a day he feels the need to clip his nails, and he gets defensive when anyone addresses the fact. He hasn’t really thought about anyone else having abilities, and so far he’s remained unnoticed by any of those who might be looking for him.
