LAST NIGHT WAS OUR STATE MARCHING COMPETITION!
WE HAVN'T HAD A SUPERIOR IN 4 YEARS AND WHEN THEY SAID THAT WE RECIEVED A 1 RATING WE FREAKED!! WE WERE THE LOUDEST OUT OF THE REST OF THE BANDS AND IT WAS AMAZING! WE ALSO GOT AN COLORGUARD CAPTION WHICH IS OKAY.
HOW DID YOU GUYS DO AT YOUR BIGGEST GIG OF THE SEASON?
ALSO IF YOU DON'T GET RATED BY SUPERIORS AND EXCELLENTS AND CAPTIONS WHAT DO YOU RECIEVE?

Wow congrats! 3nodding my band had their competition yesterday,too. Our drum majors got superior and our guard got excellent. that's all i know because i got sick and couldn't go. cry They also got best in class!(we're 3a)

We had our competition last week.
We got 1st place in everything besides percussion (we missed by a point) and won grand championship by 6 points.

Whoa thats pretty good =]
Just today I found out that our woodwinds were 5 points away from a caption and our brass were 1 point away. And also the drum major was close but i don't know how close.

We haven't had state yet. We qualified twice over though. Our first competition we got a 46.9 when excellent was 45 points, so we barely made it, and last saturday we got another excellent. First festival captions: Perc, Axhil, drum major
Possible captions for fest 1: See above. We got all fo the possible ones!
Fest 2: Overall effect, music and visual
Possible: Effect, music, visual, perc and aux.
We are hoping to get excellent or better at state in 2 saturdays and band day this week.
