So, will you buy them?
Heck yes! Their awesomeness oozes out.
I would, if I had any money of my own.
Maybe. It's a lot of money to just throw down.
Heck no! I already bought an earlier version!
Santa baby, I been an awful good...
  Eh, pollwhore option.

So, so, have you seen/heard of/bought the new Yu Yu Hakusho season box sets? So far the first three have all had 28 episodes on them and retailed for around $20 to $34.

So, what do you think?

I'm actually pretty excited. So excited, I ordered the first three seasons today. biggrin These will be the first I've ever owned, because I though the older versions were just too expensive. (Though I did have the ones with fourteen episodes on my Christmas lists for a few years.) Since these are so cheap, I'm pretty thrilled. But, you gotta feel bad for the people that did buy the earlier editions.

Anyways, here are some amazon links to get a better idea of them. (I wouldn't buy any but the second season there, though. Deepdiscount.com and discountanimedvd.com have the others way cheaper.)

Of course, I just realized that they'll probably make a complete box set once the last set comes out, but oh well- I'm still surfing the 'I just bought them' high.

(Also, let me know if this is a repeat or if links to amazon like places are outlawed.)

I bought eariler versions because of the keychains...if there are any prizes with this, I may sell my older ones so I can get the new ones.

I already own all the boxed sets ^^; I mean those look nice, but unless there are extras that aren't on the DVDs I own, I won't be buying it twice. I love Yu Yu Hakusho, but I don't have that kind of money.

I'm asking for some of those sets for Christmas this year (although the only person likely to get them for me is the friend/coworker who has to pay me back because I paid for his Otakon registration). I'll probably wind up selling some of the older versions that I have - single volumes and the fourteen-episode sets, that is. I'm loathe to part with the original Three Kings boxset I bought, though, since the art on the side is lovely (See this pic), and it also has the awesome episode commentaries as extras on the last disc.

I was pretty excited to find out that they released a new box set. Definitely plan on buying them, both for my enjoyment and for good AMV materials.
