I don't know. Some people say he does, others say he doesn't. I suppose it depends on what you did, the seriousness of it, and whether he thinks it concerns your parents or not. So, since I suppose you'd rather tell no one but your bishop (which is just fine) then you'll have to judge whether he'll tell your parents or not.

Go to your bishop. If you don't feel right about it (and obviously you don't) then talk to him. If you ask him specifically not to talk to your parents I doubt he will.

To the extent of my knowledge, he won't tell your folks. I have had some pretty bad problems, and I recently came forward to my mom about them, and she had no idea.

Well, I heard that the bishop is not supposed to tell your parents, but he encourages you to tell them yourself. I don't know where I heard it so I am not 100% sure on this.

You are correct, boiseboy, I'm a parent with a teen son, and when I talk to the bishop about him (and I know he's been in there talking about his struggles) the bishop won't say anything about what my son tells him - even if I come right out and ask him. (Which I try not to do, as curious as I may be)

Um, I don't think he tells your parents, he didn't tell mine when I told him of my tea accident (at the ROTC dance, they were serving tea like punch and it looked like orange, so I drank some). Anyway, I tell my parents before I would ever tell my bishop. But I never do anything that requires my bishop to know about it.

no, he doesn't. that is confidentiality, and he respects that. he will advise you to tell your parents yourself. and he will tell them if he has to intervene in anyway.

I don't like to tell people my age because then they treat me different - they expect me to act my age and that's BOR-ING! rolleyes
