Personality: Kekri is a very kind, considerate and polite young male Tem, although his personality makes it easy for others to take advantage of him. He's very, very fond of Taika, but doesn't know how to show it, playfully picking on the female instead. Posts are in Orange Name: Taika Nickname(s): None yet Gender: Female Species: Wild Temeo Stage: Adult Obtained: Semi-Custom

Personality: Taika is a very bubbly and friendly female, but sadly quite self-centered. She considers Kekri her mate as well as her property, and keeps the male under her paw. The fact that Kekri almost never talks back has made her think that it's alright to treat the male in such a manner, yet she acts a lot more politely around strangers.

Tuesday, October 21st.
I couldn't remember the last time I was this excited. I'd visited Karo's shop quite a few times since I first found it, but hadn't found any bottles that caught my eye.
Until today.
These two particular bottles held liquid that was a mixture of a very dark grey, orange and white. Since it was so close to my birthday - and I just simply love orange mixed with dark colours, I decided to buy the two. They were both Wilds, I was told by Karo. The one inside an orange pouch was apparently male, and the one in the grey pouch was a female. I held them both close to me as I hurried home after thanking Karo for letting me have them.
Finally, my very own Temeos, I thought. Sure, I would have to return them to the wild once they were grown, but.. at least I would get to raise them. I set the bottles on the table and looked at them some more. "I wonder what you two will look like once you come out", I thought aloud. Apparently they heard me, as both started to make noises! An odd gurgling sound came from both of the bottles. "Hmm.. I need to give you guys names. I just hope they'll fit, since I've no idea what you're really going to look like", I told them. There was some low hissing as a response. Apparently they didn't mind. Or so I hoped.
I got up and circled the table for a bit, looking at them both and thinking of good names. Then, I sat down again and pulled the supposed male closer to me. "Since it's so close to Halloween, and your pouch is such a pretty shade of orange, I think I'm gonna name you Kekri, my boy." Kekri was our Finnish equivalent to Halloween, after all. There was some bubbling inside the bottle as I held it. "So you like it, huh?" There was a pretty gentle hissing as a response, which I took as a yes. "Good", I said with a smile, placing Kekri back on the table, and then I took the female in my hands. "You, my pretty, I think I'm going to name Taika." The word meant magic in Finnish.. The swirls on her pouch had a somewhat 'magical' feel to them after all. She seemed content with her new name, as well.
I stroked the pouches protecting the bottles with my fingers for a while. I was sure they both would look amazing. I was so happy to have something to take care of again. Sure, I had quite a lot of pets as is, but some new additions to my household were always welcome. The more the merrier, right? Finally, I got up and returned to finish my daily chores. Feeding all my other pets, cooking some dinner for myself, cleaning up the house... There was a lot to do when you lived alone with a 'zoo'. Make no mistake, I loved every minute of it, no matter how hard it sometimes was. I hoped in the future I would have even more fun with them - I'd heard that Temeos could speak the human language.
At last, I sat down at the table again with a cup of tea and some cookies, and with the latest volume of my favourite manga. Once I set the cookie plate down, both Taika and Kekri started hissing like crazy. At first I was startled a bit, but then I realised that they probably wanted to have some cookies too.. I sighed as I decided it was best to take the treats back to the kitchen. "I'm sorry", I told them, "I'll give you some once you get out of those bottles, I promise." I hoped they were satisfied with that answer, and I could hear them bubbling slightly as I came back.
The rest of the evening went pretty quietly, the two bottles seemed to be conversing with each other on the table as I read my manga. Every now and then I'd talk to them for a little while, which seemed to make them happy. Once it had gotten late enough for me to go to sleep, I took Kekri and Taika upstairs with me. I set them down on my bedside table and wrapped a fleece blanket around them, hoping it wouldn't be too hot for them. I laid down, looking at my two new 'treasures', and talked to them a little bit more before falling asleep.

Monday, October 27th.
My, it's already been a week since I wrote my last journal entry? A lot's happened..
But my two bottles have stayed the same. I've tried to give them a lot of attention and I've also talked to them a lot, so I suppose it's just a matter of time 'til they come out. I know I shouldn't be so impatient, but it's always been one of my flaws. Oh well.
I'm eagerly waiting for Taika and Kekri to come out of their bottles - they'd even have two Noodle fox kits to play with. Popo and Nana have been curiously sniffing the bottles, it seems they know something special will come out of them. Others have been interested in the two newcomers, as well. Taika and Kekri both seem to enjoy the attention, bubbling and hissing contently whenever someone comes sniffing them. So cute!
My birthday's coming up, too.. I truly hope that my Temeos have vaporized then, since I'm planning on hosting a party.. and I'm going to prepare special celebration meals for my pets as well.. :3 Once Kekri and Taika vaporize, I'll be sure to bake some of my special Snickers cookies for them.

 Event! Douple Vaporization.
Douple trouble! It could be that either the two are of a mischievous kind and want to cause as much ruckus as possible, or perhaps they just feel bonded together-- whatever the reason, the two bottles appear to be vaporizing simultaneously and definitely violently. The bottles wobble side to side as the hazy vapor spouts out.
After a good amount of whistling, hissing, and swirling all over the place, the two clouds of vapor separate and form their own individual beings.
Congratulations! A promise of cookies has made them both emerge. If image appears a bottle, please refresh.

A lovers' quarrel
"That's what you get when you let your heart win, whoa~"
"Why do you never listen to me?" Kekri cried out in frustration. He almost stumbled on his scarf on his way out of the room, but quickly regained his posture.
"You're the insensitive one here!" shrieked Taika, tossing random objects at the young male, tears running down her cheeks.
"All I said was that you should stop rubbing our relationship in everyone's faces! Don't you understand it bothers them?" he retorted, trying to keep his voice as calm as possible to not upset her further.
"But you're mine! Why can't I make that clear to everybody?" the female sobbed, her small wings drooping at her sides. The ribbon around her neck was partly tangled up around her leg as she flopped down on her pillow, her back turned to Kekri. "Or don't you like me anymore?"
Kekri let out a deep sigh. "Taika, don't act like a selfish little kid. You're always boasting how grown up you are, so why can't we talk about this like.. like grown-ups?" He knew it sounded very wrong, coming from a child, but at the moment he didn't care about anything else than making up with Taika.
The only answer he got was loud sobbing.
"Taika. Of course you're my number one. You know it", Kekri started, trying to think of what to say next. He was immensely fond of Taika. It was just.. so hard to show it, or to say it out loud. He wasn't one for cuddles, or sweet talk. It just didn't go with his character. Still, it didn't mean the feelings weren't there. "Taika.." he slowly moved closer to the sobbing female. "See, our relationship.. well, it's ours. It's a private thing. Do you.. do you understand what I'm trying to say?" his voice was unsure as he sat down next to Taika.
Slowly, the female raised her head and turned to look at him. Then, she nodded. The movement was very slight, barely noticeable, but she knew Kekri would see it. He knew her best, after all. He was her best friend. He was her everything. The true reason for her tantrum was to get a confession out of him. "Yeah.." she finally said, in a very low tone. "But.. I just want to.." she started, but Kekri silenced her by gently pressing his paw on her mouth.
"I know", he said, "But like I just said, you don't need to rub it in everyone's faces. It's obvious enough as it is." There was a playful smile on his face. Sure, this was more than just your basic 'puppy love', but they were both still just kids. "Just give it time, okay?" he asked her.
Taika flicked her ears back and forth, trying to think of something to say. "I.. I'm sorry", she finally said. "Sorry for being so childish."
Kekri couldn't help but laugh at that point. "It's okay, silly. We're still kids!" he said and wrapped his scarf around both of their necks. "Let's not fight anymore, okay?"
"..Okay", said Taika, leaning against Kekri. "Let's not fight."

More mouths to feed?!
Kekri was standing in the stairway, just staring, dumbfounded. "Who are they?" he thought, "And why are they here?"
Taika was peering from behind Kekri, her two tails wagging excitedly. "Oh wow, are they gonna live with us?" she thought to herself.
Angelo stepped in and looked around the first floor of his new home. "Not too shabby, I guess.." he muttered and scratched his head. "Whaddaya think, Akari?" he asked the female anthro next to him.
The girl smiled happily as she eyed the house. "I think it looks really nice!" she told Angelo. Then, her eyes fell on the two Wild children in the stairway. Immediately, she squealed. "Oh, how CUTE!" she breathed and hurried to Taika and Kekri. "What are your names, little ones?" she asked excitedly and patted Taika's head.
Kekri looked at Akari suspiciously, as if he wasn't sure whether she could be trusted. "My name's Kekri", he finally said, walking down the last few steps of the stairs.
"And mine's Taika!" the little female said loudly, wanting to be the center of the attention. "So your name's Akari? What about him?" she asked excitedly.
Angelo chuckled as Akari picked Taika up into a hug. "I'm Angelo", he told the Wild who was obviously thrilled to have new housemates.
The door opened and closed once more, and two regular Temeos stepped in.
"So much noise.." the blonde male with white stripes moaned. "I'd hoped I would have the peace to read something." He looked at the two antros and the two Wilds judgingly.
"Keva, don't be like that", the female said with a grin. "Can't you see the kid's just excited?"
Keva sighed. "Yeah, Neera, I can see that.." He then walked up to Kekri. "Hi, kid. So I suppose now that we're stuck in the same house, we should try to get along, huh? Do you like to read books?" he asked.
Kekri nodded slightly. "Yeah.. I've got quite a few in my room.. I suppose you can borrow them if you want", he replied.
Taika giggled and waved at Neera and Keva from Akari's embrace. "Wow, there's a lot of us now! A shame you're all adults.. unless you like playing games!" she declared.
Akari giggled as well and nuzzled Taika's cheek. "You bet we like games, sweetheart!" she said, putting the little Wild back down.
I'd been watching from the doorway the whole time. Good, seemed like they were all getting along. "Anyone want cookies?" I asked then.
"YEAH!" they all shouted at once. I giggled to myself as I walked to the kitchen to start baking. Yeah, it indeed seemed like I would have a lot of fun with my new furry friends.

The day Hayley arrived
A smallish female Temeo stood in the doorway, looking around the room quietly. A pair of emerald green eyes glanced about from underneath her messy, orange hair. Her golden tail rings jingled against each other as she nervously flicked her fluffy tails back and forth. "So this is my new home...?" she thought, looking at the two young Tems in the room that had rushed downstairs to welcome her. "I hope they're going to be nice to me..."
Kekri simply stared at the new girl, not saying a word for a good while. Then, a wide smile spread on his face as he turned to Taika, saying, "She's pretty, isn't she?"
Taika snorted. "Oh, really? So I have competition now? Oh, I see how it is.." she thought to herself, always so overly jealous over Kekri. However, she managed to put a cheerful expression on as she glanced over to Kekri, then turning to look at the newcomer. "Why, yes.. Very pretty indeed.."
The female smiled sweetly, yet her expression was still rather nervous. "Nice to meet you.. My name's Hayley.." she told them politely, bowing her head.
Kekri walked right up to Hayley, grinning. "I'm Kekri", he introduced himself right away, then tilting his head toward Taika. "Her name's Taika, and she's my.. uh.." he then trailed off, falling silent, his expression a bit confused.
"Fiancee!" Taika completed his sentence for him, walking up to Kekri's side with a proud smile on her face. Soon, they'd be grown-ups and they would start their new life in Duhla, just the two of them.
Hayley couldn't help a small chuckle at the young female's exclamation. So young, and already engaged? Not that there was anything wrong with it, she just hadn't met a couple like that before. "Nice to meet you both", she said with a gentle smile, not feeling so nervous anymore. Their owner had told her there were more Tems in the house, but she'd probably meet them later. So far, her 'housemates' seemed okay.
"Say, you wanna get some cookies or something?" Kekri asked in a light tone, pointing towards the kitchen/dining room with his paw. "Thana just made a fresh batch this morning, said we should save them 'til you got here." To him, Hayley seemed okay, even though her personality was quite different compared to the other females in the household. Well, the more the merrier, right?
Taika smiled a bit more naturally now as well, coming to the conclusion that Hayley probably wouldn't try to steal her Kekri away from her. At the mention of cookies, the young Wild walked into the kitchen right away, taking the cookie jar and placing it on the dining table. It had been a while since they'd had their favourite treat, and this sure was a special enough occasion for some cookies.
Hayley's smile widened when Kekri made the offer to get some cookies. Indeed, she'd heard the keeper of the house was quite good at baking and was eager to find out for herself whether this was true or not. She walked into the kitchen after Taika, taking a seat at the table and taking one of the cookies, nibbling on it. Indeed, it was quite delicious.. Living in this house wouldn't be too bad, it seemed.
The three were still sitting in the kitchen, chit-chatting happily when the rest of us got home from shopping. I was glad Hayley had managed to make friends with Kekri and Taika, the ones I had been the most worried about.. especially Taika. But she seemed to like the new inhabitant of the house, so my fears had been unnecessary. The rest of my colourful bunch gave Hayley a warm welcome as well, and we stayed up in the kitchen way past midnight, talking about random things, getting to know our new friend better.
