It was a small town, one that wasn't too far from the city, but there was at least a corn field growing to the side and houses to go to trick or treat at. Tyler and Shade had spent the past few weeks searching for just such a town during their off hours.
But they had found it. Now they were setting up booths in the graveled parkinglot of the farm, getting ready for all the kids to show up. Tyler and Chris were once again putting up a wooden stage, but this time it would be for square dancing. Shade was making sure everyone had the place they needed for their various booths.
Antony was carving pumpkins while wearing long rubber gloves and an apron to keep his clothes from getting messy.

A beat-up sky blue car bounced down the road and parked on the far side of the lot. A moment later, Ophelia, followed by her father, got out and began getting supplies out of the trunk. Rolled banners, colorful masks, bags of streamers...
Ophelia, her arms loaded with party decorations, ran happily across the parking lot, followed by a hovering ball of blue light. She was already dressed for the night's celebration, a jaunty green cap perched on her head and the curves she was still a bit uncertain of hidden in a loose green tunic that hit at mid-thigh. She laughed, glanced back at the fairy, and jogged over to where the stage was being set up.
"We brought the decorations!" she proclaimed happily, holding the bundle in her arms out. The fairy caught up. "Look, look! I taught Tink a trick! Show 'em!"
"Hey, Listen!" said the fairy by her ear.
"Isn't that cool?"

Cecelia, dressed as a cheerful bumblebee, bounded gleefully out of the car and onto the gravel, and was gone in a flash, speeding in the direction of the stage.
"Cece! Wait up!" Elda called as she popped the trunk of the car. "I need you to help carry the bags!" Lead-footed, Cece wandered back to the car and grabbed two sacks loaded to the brim with Halloween candy, orange and black icing, and paper products; they were doing a cupcake decorating booth.
Elda grabbed two huge boxes layered with fresh, un-iced cupcakes. One box was chocolate and the other plain vanilla. There was also a cooler full of drinks in the trunk, but that would have to wait for a return trip.
"Come ooooooon." Cece exclaimed excitedly, moving quickly once again toward the booths.

"Alright, everybody!" Shade said, stepping forward with a clipboard in his hand. "If you'd just tell me what booth you want to run, I'll be able to find a place for you. Or, if needed, have a place made for you." He waited expectantly for their answers, pen in hand.
This so beat putting the stage together. He was glad that Chris didn't break things all the time, now.

"We're doing face painting!" piped up Ophelia, looking back at her father to make sure she'd gotten it right. Prosper nodded and smiled reassuringly at her. "We brought all our supplies," she added. "We just need a table and some chairs."
She pushed the bundle of banners and streamers in her arms forward again. "We brought decorations!" she insisted. Her arms were getting tired.
