A small area of field, close to the edge of the forest; the grass was long, and sprinkled with wildflowers. A tiny offshoot of Rhiann runs through the meadow; adding a soft trickling sound to the bird cries and contributing to the soothing atmosphere.
Today the sun is out; not glaring, but gentle and warming. A breeze teases at the grasses and sends puffs of pollen dancing through the air.

Kahn'Xi was the type to run and frolic on a day like this- the sun and breeze were charming and the air was fresh and sweet. But he'd exhausted himself and had sprawled out.
His long hair fell around his front paws, folded in front of him. His tail was curled around his body; and he let out a huge yawn, before his red eyes looked around and closed. It was peaceful- too quiet. He would nap, before looking for a playmate.

Ossu enjoyed days like this, as it gave her a chance to run around freely instead of being limited to a space like when it was cold out. At this particular moment, she was lying up in a tree, admiring all of the flowers that were below in the field. She frowned a bit, as she wanted someone she could play with on this lovely day, or at least someone to talk to.
Standing up, she climbed down from her perch and headed out into the tall grass. Looking around a bit, she thought she noticed another out there in the field. Her face breaking out into a grin, she sneakily headed towards the other, hoping they'd be willing to play with her.

Kahn'Xi started falling asleep; lulled into relaxation by the sun and gentle wind. Letting out a little grumble of pleasure, he stretched out before rolling onto his back; his front paws flopped against his chest, his back ones lolling against each other and his long hair spread out on the ground.
Oh, how soothing the sun and wind was... What a fine way to spend the time when forced to be alone.
((Mauser is better at RP than she things! It's fine.))

Ossu slowly crept up on the other, wondering who they were. Getting closer, she saw that he seemed to be falling asleep, and thought that if she hadn't had spotted him, she'd be doing the exact same thing right now.
She poked her head out of the tall grass where he was, and tilted her head to the side a bit. She didn't recognize him from anywhere, then again she didn't know anyone anyway. Hoping to gain herself a new friend, she let out a big grin and practically shouted, "Hello there!" to him.

The Sim'Arei's eyes flew open and he rolled back onto his front; his hair falling into his face and tangling in his front paws.
"Arrrgh!" He tried to stand; startled, unsure of what was going on; but as he tried to lift his head, his hair- still tangled in his paws- threw him off balence and he fell, rolling back onto his back.
His eyes wide, he stared at the one who'd startled him- a cute red Komali female. He blinked a couple of times.
"Uh- hi."

Jumping back a bit, Ossu's eyes widened a bit with surprise. She really hadn't meant to startle him like that, she just got overly excited to finally be meeting someone. Wincing a bit as he fell, she poked her head a little closer. "Are you okay? I didn't mean to scare you like that.."
Tilting her head to the side a bit, Ossu sat down and watched him with wide eyes while she waited for a reply.

"It's fiiiine." Kahn'Xi carefully detangled his paws and sat up; thowing his head back so his impressive locks fell about his shoulders; an affect only slightly ruined by the knots his paws had created.
"Nothing more than my pride is hurt, my dear." Smooth words came easily to his lips; and a sparkle was, as ever, bright in his eye.
"It's not your fault at all- in my past life I had reason to be concerned with people sneaking up on me whilst I rested." He gave a charming grin; purposefully leaving out detail in order to arouse curiosity. "Of course, the body I have now is hardly the one I'm used to- and I've no need to watch over my back, but old habits die hard, hmm?"

Ossu smiled, glad to know that he hadn't hurt himself. "I'm glad you're fine. I'm sorry again for startling you like that, though."
She tilted her head a bit more and frowned a little. What had he meant when he said he used to have reason to be concerned when people snuck up on him? Why would people be sneaking up on him in his past life, as he put it, anyway? Ossu bit her lower lip a bit, not wanting to ask about it and seem nosy. "I suppose. I'm Ossu by the way. What's your name?"

He laughed slightly. "Really- it's fine, don't worry about it." He quickly examined the lady from ears to tail tip; before tugging on his hair with his dexterous paws, working the knots out. She was attractive; but he wasn't here to try to win the heart of every female, that was just habit. He wasn't even sure they could do anything if he did. He grinned at the thought; the whole thing was rediculous- taking a lot of getting used to.
"Ossu- that's a nice name." He was being genuine now; now he'd reminded himself not to flirt with every female he came across. "I am Kahn'Xi."
