Ghost Dance
By: Nano_Rem
The veil before our eyes,
Placed there as we age,
On this night is lifted.
Shades of past dance,
Clouding our poor vision,
Making the living cry.
During this fading glimpe,
Of those we have lost,
We forget to mourn.
Take thier ghostly hand,
Twirl around the fire light,
Until they bid us good-bye.
Thier time has come to pass,
Life do we still have to live,
Until we finally meet again.

Samhain Sonnet
By: MeatEatingOrchid
At this dusk I transcend the murky veil of night,
The nearness of unknowing makes me calm
Soft petals of the darkest rose take flight;
Fall from the stem and wither in my palm.
I cast them into the pot as it alights,
The flames transform the petals into smoke.
I say my incantation with delight,
And words roll from my tongue to stroke
The magick in my heart and bring it forth
To tell the passed ones my loving intent.
I wish for my beloved to, thenceforth,
To bless my own beloved line of descent.
I do this with free will and good only to gain
So merry meet, merry part, merry meet again!
