Gin was always smiling it seemed, the corners of his eyes lifting up and showing this expression well. He padded along, humming quietly to his silver self-his stride matching the beat. Today he had no reason to be so pleasant as he went his merry way, only for the fact that he was cheerfully full of some poor desolate creature... a lovely hunt that was to begin the day with. Now, he decided something else would be fun to do-what that was... he'd just have to find out,
So on he went, nearing a large amount of termite hills, tall and stiff like bone. After taking a moment to gaze at them, he reared back and flung himself up one with grace-sitting atop it like a throne. His expression still making his eyes squint in happiness.
What a morning to be doing nothing-sort of the thing he liked.

Zaafarani felt more or less like she normally did, indifferent to the world around her. It all seemed more or less... hollow, though it had been steadily improving since she came out of her self-imposed solitary confinement.
At long last, the world had become more or less... real to her, where once it had only seemed like a black void of hatred and pathetic petty differences among it's inhabitents. Of course, she was over-thinking things, but since she was constantly alone without much to do, this did not especially bother her. Very rarely did much bother her, for she had made the choice that she would not let the world around her, touch her in any way... nor would she, given the choice, touch the world.
Yet she continued to meet, and see, new faces. And that was what she noticed when she saw another wild dog on the horizen who seemed to be doing the exact same thing she was: Nothing at all.

Gin didn't mind being alone but something about being with someone, sometimes was okay... today, he found that his silver feet brought him to where a female was, one of bright yellow and dark black... and he figured-maybe she would be worth his time... though he was younger and thinner than she, he walked as though he was an adult-chest and muscles tensed and tough-sinewy in their grace... and his barely open eyes (Imagine ^^) gave the impression he was overjoyed.
But he always looked like that.
He made his way towards the stranger-wondering if he would meet an ill fate from this moment-but he was confidant that all would turn out well.

Zaafarani approached the other wild dog, curious but cautious, though she seemed to display neither emotion directly in any manner. She had no real facial expression, it tended to be her preference that way. Emotions gave away too much... plus, they seemed like too much effort to give out when she didn't care what happened one way or the other.
She nodded to him as she came closer, though she did little else. She wasn't sure what move to make yet. Somehow she doubted that this one would be a fighter... but one could never be too careful. With the wars she had seen, one could never be sure...
But so far, so good. She didn't really expect to make a big fight out of this. She never did, she saw no point in fighting over nothing. Since she didn't have anything to lose, and the other animal looked like he had... well, frankly, less to lose than she did.

Gin couldn't believe how somber she looked-no expression on her face... He couldn't believe she wasn't showing any signs of aggression or of anything really... and this pleased him-intruiged him so to say. "Greetings." He said simply, side stepping back and forth with that enormous giddy grin on his face. His pale feet skipped a moment or two... before he stopped walking and stood before her.
"Why such a quiet face?" He asked pleasently-not afriad to seem to friendly.
((Short... sorry. xD))

(Tis quite alright ^_^)
Ani blinked, slightly unprepared for something so direct, but her face barely showed her suprise. Or... much of anything. She had lived alone so long, she wasn't entirely sure she could have made another expression, even if she had wanted to. And honestly, if the other wild dog hadn't practically jumped right in front of her, she might not have said anything at all.
"...Hello." She replied, a little slow on the uptake, "I... am quiet, so I suppose my face always looks this way." She said, taking what he said very literally. Taking anything for other than what had been said was a little beyond her, "You have... a happy face?" Was that the right kind of response? Maybe this dog had some odd customs she was unaware of...

He was familiar with odd looks from people, considering his oddly quirky way of doing everything. He wasn't one for making fun or poking jokes at phyiscal attributes, unless he felt so inclined. Regardless, he perked up and gazed at her squintedly, a small chuckle crossing lips. "I see." He said simply, sitting back on his haunches and placing his front paws together in front of him, touching with just his toes balancing him. "Well, quiet or not... face or no face-it doesn't really matter that much does it?"
He sighed momentarily. "Ah, yes... I do indeed have a happy face. In fact-some say it is so happy looking-it scares them at times. I can't help but-" He paused. "-be happy a lot of my time. I found that-I cannot be unhappy... unless something displeases me... then I am not so-happy. But today, I have found that I met someone new-such as yourself and this pleases me..."
He brought a paw up to his mouth and drew it across in a semi circle, drawing a smile as he himself grinned. "and I smile and I am happy. You may call me Gin."

Ani tilted her head to the side thoughtfully. A round-about answer, but one she approved of none-the-less. He did seem to be quite high-spirited, and she couldn't really complain about that. At least he had something that made him happy... which oddly enough, seemed to be her at the moment. Was meeting a new person really that exciting? Really?
"Gin... My name is Zaafarani... Ani. I don't... really smile. Sorry. Not you. Me." She told him, not entirely sure how to express her lack of emotion. It had been commented on before... she couldn't really help herself. She wasn't used to having to express herself, so she just didn't do it.
Still, Gin seemed like a good guy... so she could't exactly complain. Being around depressing people wasn't really what she wanted. She was far more interested in getting to know other creatures who had been happy throughout their lives. Not alone like her.

Gin couldn't help but give a small chuckle at her introduction. Not really smile. Eh, he couldn't believe that. Everyone smiled-it just mattered whether it was on the outside or the inside... and Gin happened to have both.. pretty much all the damn time. He was told before it was annoying-but he was used to that too. He pretty much damn annoyed everyone in the holt. That was way normal and gave him a fair bit of happiness from it. Turn one persons hatred into one person's sunshine-that was Gins way.
"Eh, I think you smile all the time-you just save it for when no one sees." He said with a chuckle-his pale nose rubbing against the inside of his front left paw for a moment. Concealing an all too wide smile. "Which I think isn't fair. Smiling should always been shown to everyone-smiles are never innappropriate... and they can tell someone a million words. How can one have no emotion-" He stood up and looked at her keenly. "-tell others words without speaking."
He perked up. "Or perhaps you do to confuse us... everyone around you... is that because you are a secret agent... or an assassin?"

Ani watched him curiously. What odd opinions he had about her... but still, they were ones that she could respect. She supposed if she had been able to smile as often as Gin seemed to, she would. She just never had anything that made her want to...
"I don't mean to... not smile. I just... don't." She told him, still deadpan as she spoke. Really, she didn't mean to be cruel at all, this was just her way, "I'm sorry if it seems... unfair... I don't have no emotions... I just... don't express them." And so she didn't.
His last comment though made her blink, "No...I wasn't an assassin... I'm a soldier." She looked thoughtful for a moment, "Well... I was one... but since everyone is dead now and I left... I'm an ex-soldier... and I haven't seen anyone in so long... that I haven't needed to show any emotion. That's all... I suppose. But no... I'm not really a secret anything... and I don't really want to hurt anyone anymore... I mean, are you a secret agent, or an assassin... who just... smiles all the time?"

Now this comment made him chuckle to himself. An assasin-if only she knew all he could be-all he had done before and all he would do in the future. He simply lifted his head and tightly shut his golden eyes with a grin. "No... not an assassin or secret agent... just a pawn in a plan that may one day show the world what little old 'Gin' can do." His tail wagged slowly for a moment.
"Well, someday your emotions will sit beyond that wall you have in front of them-and they will pound and scream protest... until they burst froth from your being and spill onto the ground like prey viscera. "
He bent his head low and made a slow slurping noise with his tongue. He then straightened and perked up. "Or perhaps they will leave you all together-and when you try to bring them back-they will be gone forever." He said quizzingly.

Ani tilted her head to the side, "Show the world what you can do? Why bother? The world is huge. You can't possibly tell everyone what you can do." Or at least, she was fairly certain that was the case. One's reputation could only take one so far. Even her own pack's infamous reputation had dissapeared when she had gone far enough away from them, "What can you do that you want to show the world?"
As to her emotions... all were uncomfortable thoughts. Perhaps they were already true, and she was simply unaware of it? Hard to say. She hadn't felt happy or sad in so long... Was it just a wall, or were they already gone? Something her old pack would have appreciated, but not a feeling she was all that fond of.
"I hope it's just a wall I have to scale... I'm not sure I'd like to have no emotions at all." Because that meant they had won. That she was what her pack had always wanted her to be. A killer, mindless soldier who would do what anyone wanted when they wanted, with no freedom, "No... I'd much rather still have them. I hope they're somewhere."

Gin didn't need the worlds care or concern. He didn't need to tell everyone what to do-just a few would be fine. Anyone he saw really... though he wasn't ordering her around. He had no need to-she had nothing he wanted at this time. He snorted. "The earth is here for us... is it not. It has no reason but to keep us alive until we die."
He chuckled. "Perhaps it is just a small mud puddle that you have to dirty your pelt on... who knows. Only you would know what it is... it is your mind after all.." He said, smiling cheerily.

Ani tilted her head, not comprehending him entirely, "I'm not so sure about the earth being here for us... I'm fairly certain that we just live here. The earth only exists... I doubt it cares what we say or do." She mentioned... but then, perhaps she was projecting herself onto the world. She could care less about any of those things. If she had been the world, and things had been living on her all the time, she wouldn't have cared much what they did, as long as they didn't offend her.
"Sometimes our mind is not our own." She mentioned thoughtfully, tilting her head to the side, "Perhaps what happens to us isn't always our own choice." Though she had made plenty of her own choices... "We can't really control everything, Gin."

Gin begged to differ. He was fond of controlling things without really controlling them at all. He had his ways of persuasion and he had his higher up friends. Course, he would never tell anyone that, especially her. He grinned, his ears twitching slightly-in perhaps annoyance. "Nay, I disagree. Everything 'can' be controlled-it is just how you go about controlling them." He said, his voice delightfully sweet and soothing in tone.
He stood and walked in a wide circle, gazing upwards-his golden orbs hidden behind his pale eyelids. "I find that everything can be controlled-you just have to know when to control some and when to not control others... how you do it changes as well... or whether or not 'one' benefits from the control or not."
He shook his forelock of silver hair and gazed at her over his shoulder with a toothy smile.
