Morgue Report:

Everyone knows that chicken pox is dangerous to adults. Emo_Pirate more than most. Today her body was brought down and a simple look showed me that she had a severe case of chicken pox. Skin blisters typical of the chicken pox illness had spread thickly over her body. Upon examination I found that the actual cause of death was a complication of the pox, a "flesh eating bacteria" had set in in the deep layers of her skin and muscle, causing the flesh to die away, and thus killing her. Although this is a fairly common bacteria, antibiotics could have saved her poor life. The fast paced progression of both the pox and the bacteria have led me to the only conclusion possible. Plague was here, and here to stay unless this maniac, and their accomplice L.I., can be caught. I pray for the townspeople.

Ok, so this update wasn't my best as I just wrote it 10 minutes ago, but the ones I've got planned for later are better.

Morgue Report:

Emily escaped the ward today and it took the nurse's aides hours to get her under control. For an elderly patient, Emily sure can run when she wants, and during her adventure through the halls she made a new friend. Mercain was snooping around the hospital in the hopes of finding either of our killers when the townpeople cried out- Suspiscious! GUILTY! "I'm not the killer! But I sure would like to help them... I feel as though a certain kinship exists..." Mercain spoke with a dreamy look in their eye right before an orderly gave her a sedative injection and took her and Emily off to their beds in the psych ward.

ks331084 came to the hospital today for one of her normal appointments. While she was waiting in the waiting room she pestered all the other folks waiting with her with questions and accusations. "Why are you two talking to each other? Why are you wearing that outfit? You are on my suspiscious list, just so ya know!" The litany continued until finally an aide led her to a private exam room to wait for her doctor. "Hey wait," she called, "you aren't gonna leave me in here alone are ya?! Don't you know theres a killer out there!?!" And so a Nurse was sent to protect our patient while she waited for her appointment. Plague never struck today, and I believe that their intended victim was none other than ks331084, some might call her lucky that such a kind Nurse was there to protect her from a much worse fate.

I was so close to L.I. today, I am sure of it. I had gone out to get lunch and was innocently standing in line when a scream rent the peaceful atmosphere of the sandwich shop. I whirled around to find that a few paces behind me amigo_amigo_amigo had fallen to the floor with a syringe in his back. I had no doubt as to what the needle once held and quickly scanned the shop but the only strange figure I noticed was a girl outside the window with strange facial structure holding a heart balloon and gazing in with a hopeful expression that I'm sure mirrored my own. Both of us were disappointed today I'm afraid, for L.I. was gone.

Morgue Report:

"Transcarnate!" The townspeople cried throughout the day. "Roy!!" Other shouted in response. "Threewaytie!!- Rhino!" Yet another group argued. And so that battle raged on, everyone trying in earnest to catch our resident killers, but in the end when the votes were counted, the majority decided- BlueFountain on the account that she likes green, even though her name is blue. The ward was a tense place today when they led our new 'patient' in due to the earlier upset when a couple of townspeople snuck in to try and visit Hatmaster. Emily was unhappy with the intruders in her domain and began swinging wildly, hitting a few orderlies before she sat down and began throwing her lunch around the hall. The intruders were removed from the ward, but the food was still being cleaned off the walls when BlueFountain got her first glimpse of her new home.

At the rate things are going I fear that soon the only people left living will be those who were falsely accused and locked in the Psych ward. Plague took one of our staff from us today, a Nurse named The Ti Chan. It was easy enough to make a diagnosis, a positive TB test showed swollen and red on her arm, tinting her entire fore arm red as though she'd dipped her arm in ink. The disease ran rampant in her until every inhale became a tortured sob and every exhale, a wracking cough that spewed more blood down her front. The only mercy we could offer was to heavily sedate her and watch helplessly as the disease consumed her. When she was finally brought to the morgue this evening, she was hardly more than skin hanging over frail bones.

Chikorin Moonie decided against all the warnings of killers loose in town to go for a walk through the park this afternoon. She dressed in her finest attire and plugged the headphones of an mp3 player into her ears and set out. As she strolled happily through the abandoned park she thought she caught sight of a red shaped heart floating along through the trees beside the path. Peering into the trees and squinting against the sunlight she called out, "Who's there?" and saw the heart stop in its path. Chikorin took a single step off the path before collapsing to the ground as the rush of chemicals that had entered her bloodstream unnoticed moments before stopped her heart. I too happened to be in the park this afternoon, and heard Chikorin's call to the heart toting figure, but by the time I reached her she was already dead. L.I. was no where to be seen and the floating heart balloon in the woods was speeding off away from the scene. Who is this figure with the heart shaped balloon? I had figured that they were trying to find L.I. as I am, but I fear the reasons behind our search may be drastically different.

This morning Transcarnate walked calmly into the Psych ward, kissed Emily on the cheek and asked an orderly in a polite manner to assist him with his straight jacket. Many of the staff members stared at him in shock, but it inspired a bit of respect in myself. Here was a fellow who knew he was innocent, and instead of fighting against the overwhelming tide, he simply went with the flow. In the end, when this is all over and no one else is left in town, I am glad that a strong minded fellow will be left to lead those left behind. But then again, when everyone else is gone outside, there will be no one left to unlock the ward anyways. I had thought that there would be people left alive after this was done, but now I realize my own folly. Those locked up in the ward may suffer more than any of those that are killed on the outside, for eventually they will starve. Again we can only hope that we will be able to catch these killers.

In my many year as a mortician I have witnessed only a few deaths from meningitis, but after seeing today's victim I would be glad to never see it again. Today I went along with the paramedics on a call and what happened while we were there will haunt me long after this is over- if I survive. shadow walker111 was delirius when we arrived, he had locked himself in his roomand covered the windows with blankets. Sensitivity to light and sound is common with this illness, but I believe that this was an extreme case. He claimed that the dim light coming from the hallway was painfully blinding and that even the softest whispers we could mutter were deafening roars in his ears. Through her delirius muttering I thought I caught a thread of near lucidity. "Saw...was there... so full of black and sick and death..." he muttered and his eyes rolled back in his head as I stared in shock. Was he trying to imply that he had seen the person who had done this to him? I believed it was so, this victim has seen Plague. I ordered him sedated for transport to the hospital but before the medics could even open their kits shadow walker began violently siezing and bit down on his own tongue and drowned in his own blood. The trip to the hospital would end in the morgue I was afraid, and I felt haunted by the nearness of the answers I seek. Who is Plague?

After work today my car wouldn't start. A kind soul was there to help me though and offered to give my car a jump. 'Aine Chievious was her name, and I was truly grateful. She reached into her trunk and pulled out the necessary cables and we each popped our hoods and attached the cables. After a short while we had success, my car was running and I thanked her. Sliding into the front seat of my car I watched as 'Aine ducked under the hood of her car. Thats when I saw the familiar balloon again. Getting back out of my car I hurried to my helper's side only to find I was too late again. A dart was still protuding from her and I looked around but found no one. Cursing L.I. and their mysterious way of disappearing I recruited the help of an aide and took my newest companion down to the morgue to join the rest.

Emily was strolling the halls in her birthday suit today when K I N G S H O Y, the fake Medical Journalist was admitted. The hospital staff believes that this was a good idea, even though he is completely innocent in regards to the killings. They think that for once the townspeople may have actually sent someone in need of pyschiatric help. They said Shoy's problem was that he has 'paranoid illusions of granduer' due to the fact that he seemed to be afraid of being jailed and thus made up the story of being important to try and save himself. In the end though, he only drew more attention to himself and ended up here with the other 'patients' anyway.

I took a break this afternoon to get out of my crowded morgue and as I was walking around the hospital grounds I saw a figure running around in the parking lot. Moving closer I found it was Merriweather and she was showing common signs of rabies. Rabies is very dangerous in humans when untreated and I worried that, with Plague behind the wheel so to speak, it might already be too late. Foam ran heavily from mouth as she looked around with a panicked expression and when she saw me she turned and ran, she seemed to have trouble running and I saw her fall and strike her head against the pavement. Hurrying to her side I found her dead already, and without performing an autopsy I guessed that swelling of her brain due to the virus coupled with the blow to the head is what killed her.

Merty was L.I.'s unfortuante victim today. I was told she was traveling home from school with a friend when they saw a heart shaped balloon. Having heard stories of heart balloons in connection with some of the recent killings, Merty and her friend decided to take a shortcut through an alleyway to try and avoid being near the balloon and the killer by association. Apparently the two friends had never paid much attention when they were younger and being taught that taking shortcuts and accepting rides from strangers were bad ideas and a short way along the dimly lit alley Merty collapsed with a dart in her thigh. Death came swiftly, and Merty was gone before her friend had even drawn breath to scream.

Shoy (who is NOT the NR :3 ) was jailed, Merriweather was CKed and Merty was sniped.

"Its not me! Why are you voting for me! You should vote for Rhino! My brother told me so!" cried The.Blue.Iris as the orderlies dragged her into the ward. I watched in sadness as yet another town member was locked into the Pysch ward. I imagine it is becoming quite crowded in there, the ward was never meant to be used as a prison after all. But by this point any construction towards a new building seems pointless. Soon there won't be anyone left to build it, let alone lock up inside of it! Emily came out of her room to welcome the newest 'patient' on the ward by giving her a flower and I smiled at Emily's behavior, she at least is the same as always.

After watching the new patient being settled into the ward I decided to take a walk. The morgue is crowded with bodies, some of which died instant deaths from injection and others that died horrible deaths from viruses and ills that were inflicted upon them. During my walk I saw everybody loves lily up ahead of me and thought that I might catch up to walk alongside her. You cannot be too careful these days, and being in another's company might deter the killers that are on the loose. I also thought to ask her why she missed voting last night, perhaps she was ill? Becoming worried I sped up my steps at the same time that a hooded figure approached lily. The figure grabbed lily's arm and stuck her with a needle, pushing the plunger down and injecting her with what I am sure would be potassium chloride.

My mouth dropped open and I ran towards the hooded figure, I couldn't believe I was about to catch L.I.! But as I approached L.I. did not move as though to escape. The figure seemed to be glued to the spot and when I reached the spot where L.I. stood over lily's body I saw that the person under the hood was shivering. Fine tremors raced through their body and as I reached out to grasp their wrist I felt the fever raging in their body. The figure suddenly doubled over and vomited onto the ground as they began convulsing in my grip. I looked on helplessly, knowing the Plague had struck and there was nothing I could do for them, and also feeling that perhaps this person deserved this death after all the others they had caused. As I stood caught in a tumult of thoughts and helplessness the figure before me collapsed to the ground, hood falling back and revealing Tedie Behr and I knelt beside them to check their vitals, they were alive- but only just. She had slipped into a coma from which I'm sure she would not awake. I took her body to the hospital, and she was dead by the time we arrived and I found she had died of malaria.

And so we find ourselves much reduced in numbers, but now there is but one killer loose. I will pray again that we find this killer before we lose anymore friends.

I heard today that Lady Rai was admitted today to the ward. I was going to go and watch as I have done every other day but I couldn't bear to see the drooling zombies they have all turned into.

"Mad Cow Disease" in humans is called Creuztfeldt-Jakob disease and the victim suffers many of the same symptoms. Return_of_Watanuki-san began showing signs of dementia this morning and was put into a room for observation at the hospital. She seemed to not know where she was or how she got here as well as confusion as to who she herself was. Later in the day she changed from questioning her lapses in memory to pulling out a small notebook from her pocket and flipping through, pausing once in a while to read a page. "This is me.. I remember now." She would say, nodding down at her notebook before ripping out the page and placing it in an evergrowing circle around her. She progressed to hallucinations after this, often speaking to someone that noone else could see, and shortly after she laid down for a nap from which she did not wake. I entered the observation room and looked at the notebook pages she had ripped out and ringed around her.... Each page contained a clue to Plague's identity. Afterwards, I studied her body to find what had killed her and found sponge likes holes in the tissue of her brain. Her brain had been dying in pieces all day until finally her body could live no more.
