Shaking the water from her coat, Lena moved forward into the cave that currently served as their family's den, bright blue eyes, so much like her mothers should be, sparkling as she took in her surroundings. It was cozy. Nothing too done up, or lived in. They really didn't plan to stay there for too loing after all.
They were only there until their parents felt they were old enough to travel with them. Where they were going, she could not yet guess. She wasn't even sure if her parents knew. But she could feel that something important awaited them in the near future.
Something that would change all of their lives.
Shaking away her jumbled thoughts, she moved deeper into their den, smiling slowly when she took sight of her mother laying there, dozing.
The Cheetahress wasn't asleep long however. Sensitive ears picked up the sound of foot steps. The steps of her middle-born child. Smiling easily, she lifted her head, sightless eyes turning toward Lenana.
" I hope you were not out in that rain, my little one. "
" Not for long, mother. " Lena purred out, moving to nuzzle into the warm fur of her mother's stomach.

It wasn't long before Samawi trotted into the den, shaking himself dry. He was completely soaked, and he rather enjoyed it. He wandered over to his mother's side, giving her cheek a loving kiss before going over to nose his sister's side.
"You left me all alone out there, Lenana!" he complained playfully, flopping down next to his sister and their mother.

Lena giggled softly, leaning forward to lick his nose. " Left you? I was only retreating from the rain, dear brother! " She said in a teasing tone. She really didn't much enjoy the rain, and had been quick to retreat from it.
Kunye let out a chuckle as she listened to her children, leaning down after a moment to find her only son, beginning to lick his damp fur clean. " Honestly, you two.. Hopefully your father and sister aren't caught out in that. Sounds like it will be getting bad. "
She shook her head, reaching a paw to ruffle Samawi's small mane. " What were you out doing? " The cheetahress asked them curiously, shifting to curl around both of her small children, hoping to warm them from the rain.
" I was enjoying the sun off by the river until the rain hit. " She said thoughtfully, feeling a bit of guilt at withholding the details of the strange power she seemed to be developing. She should tell them. But she was so weary of revealing something so strange.

"The sun was very warm today, Mom. But the rain was nice too," Samawi purred, nuzzling against his mom and idly draping a leg over his sister affectionately. After a long moment, he turned to look at his mother with mismatched eyes, wondering about his discussion with Allium. So far, his mother hadn't gotten her eyesight yet. Maybe he needed to pray to the Gods more?

" Well, I'm glad you both enjoyed yourselves. " She purred, leaning down to begin grooming Lenana now that Samawi was nice and clean.
Lena huffed a little, but let their mother groom her, sharp eyes coming to rest on Samawi. She was well aware that he and their elder sister Allium had been up to something. Something they were hiding.
She couldn't bring herself to ask them about it. And try as she might, she couldn't see clearly what it was they were trying. She would only get a flash of a beautiful, winged lioness. The vision held no ill-will, so she really wasn't terribly worried about it.

"Mom? I have a question," Samawi asked after a long moment of silence, shifting closer to his sister and looking at his mother's pale eyes. He couldn't help his curiosity, he was just naturally curious. But he hoped his Mom didn't get mad at his question.

The gentle Cheetahress leaned forward, gently butting her head against her sons, nuzzling softly. " You do not need to fret over asking me something, Samawi. I will gladly answer anything you wish to know. "
She was gentle, and reassuring, hoping to reassure and sooth her only son's mind. Some things, she may not answer. Not until he's older at least. But she doubted his young mind would come up with such questions that would cause her to deny him.
