They are prone to rejection like any other surface piercing. You could also try microdermals but those have their own list of potential issues. Make sure if you use a bar that it's a proper surface barbell and NOT just a straight one or piece of PTFE. Those will not heal.
I've never had one so I can't really help you with the other questions. ._."""

Dagon is right. Ive had 2 anti brows and they are very prone to rejection.
this isnt to say you cannot get them to heal or stay. I kept mine for roughly 8 months. I loved them.
though i have to say that i think micros would be a bad idea. thats just me as a piercer i dont like micros overall. too many people are walking into them blindly cause they are the cool new thing.

OH SNAP
forgot about healing and pain.
Pain is like any piercing.. just kinda odd having s**t THAT close to your eyes.
As far as healing. I personally went with saltwater rinses and satin soap.
clean in the mornings with soap rinse @ night salt soaks as needed
Tea soaks i have read are AMAZING

again with the rejection... when I had one, my piercer told me that the normal time span for rejection with this little beauty is anywhere between 3 months and a year. Mine lasted 3 years, but I guess I'm just a freak that way, because everybody else I've ever talked to, theirs lasted only a few months.
I know pain is relative, but I had no pain with this one whatsoever. A little pressure and it was over.
warning though... take it out at the first signs of rejection. If you take too long, the scars will be more noticeable. I've used endless amounts of scar cream, but 2 years later, you can still see my scar plain as day when i'm not wearing glasses.

I've gone through a couple anti-eyebrow piercings, but they were done with improper jewelry at the time and I was unable to keep them.
My boyfriend has had it done with proper jewelry and technique and he still had a problem with rejection and no longer has it.
They are really hard piercings to keep but look so amazing. One reason they're hard to keep is because of placement. Being right on that cheekbone it tough on the piercing. I've heard more good things about lower placements.
I'd say microdermals, but those are so-so too. My boyfriend now has a lower-placed microdermal, and after the 3rd try or so, he seems to be having luck with it.
Scars are a definite possibility if you lose it, though. My boyfriend ended up getting scarification on his face to cover up the nasty scars from rejecting anti-eyebrows.
Good luck!!! I hope this wasn't too much of a downer. D:
