So some of the achievements they neglect to give you are kinda funny. Like I'm Argent Dawn exalted, but they never gave me the Scholomance or Stratholme ones. And I have screenshots of our first Hakkar kill where I'm looting everyone stuff, and I never got the ZG one.
Oh, and my priest is Sha'Tar exalted and she got none of the TK (reg or heroic) achievements.

I think they're basing it off of quests. So if you had a quest to kill a certain boss and it was done, you got credit for that instance. For example, I know I did every freaking instance in the game on my priest but only a few are not done because I recently noticed there were no quests to kill the end boss (ie: SFK).

On the plus side, it did finally push the guild I'm in to kill Onyxia. I've been wanting to kill her since before BC came out.
On the other hand, it made me realise that the guards at Orgrimmar are insane and must be destroyed at all cost. No way did they see me in prowl from over there, no way.

But why would I notice the alliance guards getting a level bump? They don't attack me. smile Although, I can imagine it being easier to sneak into SW compared to sneaking into Orgrimmar (even through the back entrance).. But again, how would I know since the guards don't attack me. Orgrimmar guards must be destroyed. lol

Yeeeeep my achievments refuses to acknowledge at least half my heroic-last-boss-kills and alot of my non-heroic-last-boss-kills
On a side note... the new patch is soooooo hilarious... haha clearing BT in like 3 hours is win xd

And Kara in about 90 minutes. *Giggle* 3 hours wink we had to deal with the 'Bliz hates Nagrand so we are going to make their server crash half way through Council for like an hour' dilemna.. annnnd now our server is crashed again biggrin bliz loves us.. shall we ask to be put on the christmas card list?

Hehe. Did that one today. xD
Was doing Hellfire Fortifications and a level 63 pvp-active hordie was afk IN the Overlook. So I took him down and hugged him.
But yea, achievement won't count past kills. Only future ones unfortunately.

bliz counted half my past kills like illidan, vashj, zuljin, prince etc but not half of the other ones mad i have the trinket from last boss in heroic bot yet i apparently haven't cleared heroic bot?! gonk grrrr

You will find yourself with the Botanica normal achievement, though. Achievements go by what items you have from bosses and what quests you have completed. If you've competed the Vials of Eternity quest but do not have any Vashj/Kael loot you will get credit for Vashj/Kael. If you do not have any loot from Kil'jaeden, but have killed Kil'jaeden previous to this patch, you will not have a Kil'jaeden achievement, since there are no quests linking to KJ, only loot. There is no way for Blizzard to possibly track everyone's boss kills ever. There's still some issues I believe with Stratholme achievements, but for the most part everything works. People just aren't understanding the achievement system fully and how it works from a technical standpoint.
