Interesting concept, but I haven't seen anything that makes me believe it.

I think its possible. And as is the case with many other things, it has not been ruled out, so one cannot say "Utter bullshit", especially since there has been experimentation done, Ganzgfield experiment, that leaves it open.

I think it exists in everyone just some people can actually tap into that part of the brain.
Go talk to a real African witch doctor and then tell me it doesn't exist. talk2hand

I agree, they have scientific names don't they? They can't be 100% disproven, can they?

Celtic guardian91 It may be possible, I mean, we only use a small part of our brains so who knows what we are capable of this is an urban myth. i will find the research after my classes are done for the day, but it is an urban myth that we only use a small percentage of our brains.

research the cold read technique. many people use this to fake ESP, and there is some research to support the fact that the people who aren't faking are merely using cold reading techniques without consciously realizing it.
i want to learn the cold read 3nodding

I am always open to this sort of thing I'm still certain theres parts we haven't tapped into. But still I believe it is possible to learn things may look like you have "super powers" to others who dont know the things you know. Take for example astrology way back when.
