Baldur padded through the long waving grass, he held his head high trying to peer over the plants which were shifting in a soft breeze, and he frowned. "to sm-small" he murmured, stepping around a small patch of mud that lay in his path, it had rained only the night before and he had managed to get through the fence yet again, boy would his humans be mad when he came back, he giggled at the thought of their faces and the silly gibberish they yelled at him. His eyes danced about merrily as he took in the fresh morning air.
"uck" he groaned as one of his paws sunk into the mud, if he thought the humans would be angry before they would be furious now, and even worse he would have to take one of those dreaded things .... a bath! he scowled before grinning and jumping into the pile of mud, it sloshed up around him splattering over his previously clean fur.

Tatsuya was attempting to hunt again without much success. He sat and huffed before sniffing the air again. Hmm there was a familiar smell that was for sure, but what was it. Mud? No that wouldn't catch his attention, it was every where after the cold rain the night before.
Tatsuya got to his paws and followed the smell with curiosity. His ears perked to the sound of sloshing mud. Tatsuya peeked around the corner of some tall grass before grinning.
"Baldur!!!!" Tatsuya barked before jumping into the mud to join his friend.

Baldur's eyes widened as he heard the voice, he turned looking over his shoulder. "h-hello again Tatsuya" he smiled, giggling as he watched his friend get covered in the slimy mud. With a splat Baldur plopped down into the mud and started rolling in it, his tail wagging all the while. "wh-what are you doing here?" he asked between bursts of laughter. The mud clung to his fur, getting between his ears, which just made the pup laugh harder, gasping for breath as it ensued. "its -r-really nice out i-isnt it?" he said slowing his rolling to a stop to look up a the clear blue sky.

"I live near here, I was just out trying to hunt for lunch. Better question is what are you doing here?" Tatsuya laughed before jumped gently on top of the rolling mass that was his friend.
"I guess, rough sleeping last night though. Kinda cold and the mud makes it hard to track things, but it's good playing weather for sure!!" Tatsuya said trying to gnaw on Baldur's ear.

Baldur nodded "oh... i l-live near here t-to... sort of.." he giggled wriggling to try and get out from underneath. "g-get off me!" he laughed, getting muddier by the second. "you know you c-could come to my h-house if you wanted t-to eat? though we w-will probably have to g-get bath's then" he said shyly, scowling slightly at the last word.
Baldur frowned, tilting his head "you s-sleep outside? but its c-cold and wet!" he squirmed in an attempt to keep his ears out of reach. "i could h-help you if y-you want.... though the m-mud is really fun... and i've n-never gone hunting b-before.." he frowned furrowing his eyebrows, he shrugged slightly figuring his suggestions were to boring anyway.

Tatsuya shook his head but laughed. "I'm just not that sort of dog Baldur! ...What's a bath?....." Tatsuya chewed on Baldur's ear lightly grinning the whole while.
"Ah but the things I see and hear that you never will! Baldur the freedom I get in return is worth it!!" Tatsuya laughed a bit. "Baldur no offense, but your scent would probably chase all the prey away. Maybe some more rolling in the mud though you just might be able to help!" Tatsuya laughed and rolled off of Baldur and into the mud.

Baldur sighed looking up at the sky "alright t-then..." he giggled, "you don't k-know what a b-bath is?" He snickered quietly, "a bath is a h-horrible thing where y-you get stuck in s-smelly bubbly w-water" His tail wagged slowly, "it makes y-you smell like f-flowers" he scowled, "its a-absolutely terrifying" he teased.
"That m-must be scary, you c-could be attacked b-by bears or s-something... i-i'm perfectly content w-with my life t-thank you very m-much" Baldur frowned thinking, "i d-dont smell bad t-though... and i'm a-already all muddy" he giggled rolling slightly now that he was no longer stuck under Tatsuya.
