This is the link to the music video for Alkaline Trio's "Help Me". Undeniably steamy, and well done to boot! (I especially enjoy the fact that even while traveling at what must be tremendous speeds, his bowler hat remains securely on his head.)

Oh wow, I would kill for a train with a deployable airship. Truly a spiffing video. Video that works outside the USIseult Afire (I especially enjoy the fact that even while traveling at what must be tremendous speeds, his bowler hat remains securely on his head.) Every true Steampunk Gentleman has the ability to have his hat securely on at all times, so common decency is preserved. Unlike those confounded dinosaurs.

Personally, I'd give my left leg for such a rocket pack. I'm sorry, I didn't realize that the link was specific to the US... ^^; What was wrong with it, for future reference? Ah- where steampunk and the truly fantastic collide, I see. :]

I watched the video with my jaw hanging open in the most un-lady-like manner. ^.^; That was so abso-bally-lutely amazing! Whatever contraption it was that he rode off of the train in was quite awesome as well.

That's a mighty fine video you've got there. Wish I had a train with emergency escape airship.

Honestly, I think most people in an age of steampunk are probably extremely wealthy if they could throw thrift to the wind and build vehicles specifically meant to discard about half of its composition over a cliff and then happily fly away.

If it was deploy an airship or crash in a burning wreckage, I know which I'd go for. Surely if one was making some sort of adventuring train they would take such precautions for disaster (falling off a cliff or not) - and it would be a meagre expense given how much such a train would cost anyways.

To bad the lead singer has such a whiny voice, or else this music video would be so sweet.
That woman is Kat Von D, right?

Hmm, that was pretty cool. I never knew about the "Closer" vid, either. Quite... disturbing. But it throws together mad science and steampunk, so I still like it.
I liked the video you posted, but the song? Not so much.
