 The soft sound of 'clip clops' could be heard as he moved across the field, and to be honest, it was unnerving. As the yound pala waddled along on his small legs, the sound would only follow. And when he stopped to peek around for the source, the noise would stop too.
Teal eyes blinked as he bit his lip. Was he being hunted? D; Little wings gave a nervous twitch as his eyes watered. It was a slow and unrealized panic, but a panic all the same. He was, afterall, still just a youngling. With a cold breeze as motivation Soul Lexis raced on across the field, unaware that his chibi hooves were the source of the scary sound.

 Slowy, oh so slowly, two green feathers poked above the sea of grass followed by two brown ears, and then two brilliant emerald eyes. The eyes scowled, instantly turning somewhat mean looking, but if one actually knew the pala then they'd know he was pretty much incapable of getting angry. Something was racing around not too far from him on the field in the grass, which where he stood, was taller then him when he wasn't standing on on his tippy-hooves. "What is that? >o>" He inquired to himself out loud, slowly pushing through the green and onto the much less dense part of the field.
He put a finger to his chin, walking towards the black dot wheeling around. His vision wasn't exactly the best and so he leaned forwards and squinted to see what exactly it was - only to notice the little thing was bolting straight towards him. Soon enough to came to realize it was a small pala, and his face lit up with joy. "HAY THAR!" He chirped, waving his hands at the little creature which he noticed looked rather panicked.

Teal eyes widened slooowly and with a rising sense of dread as he noticed a small and distant detail. But a detail that he was nonetheless rushing toward in his desperate frenzy. Two giant leaves, poking up out of the grass at random, as if curious to Soul's presence. But the grass was too tall to inspect any further, and tiny Soul ran all the faster to try and escape the click click sound stalking him.
But then, just there! The grass began to sway and crunch slightly before a...brown thing appeared. A...a swamp monster?!?! "Gaaah!" The young Pala stopped dead with locked knees, causing him to fall flat on his face in a black tremor. Feathers shook vividly along his form as he clenched shut eyes, thinking the other was about to eat him at any moment! Dx
