What (if anything) is important enough for you to give your life for? Is it family? Friends? Your country? Religeon? Why is that? What makes those things important enough that you would end your existence for them? For those of you that have nothing, do you wish you did?

I would give my life defending America! I proudly served in the army for six years. And i would also lay down my life defending my family!

The only things I would die for would be my friends, my family, and something very special to me
I can honestly say I would never die for my country America has gone to hell I respect some people of america, but despise the country itself and what its become/becoming
I'm agnostic, so my religion is quite open Therefore not important enough to die over I do, however, have things I believe in that I would die fighting for
And so as not to disrespect some people, such as Ssgt_Alex, I do respect many of the solders and a few people of this shity country But honestly, most of us here in america are assholes who only think of something along the lines of 'World Domination' Most just haven't realized it yet

family and friends: yeah, I'd die defending them. i am very close to my family and friends. i keep a rather low number of friends, and am very close to them.
country: hell no!!! as rayrai was saying, this country has gone to hell.
much of it consists of selfish assholes (myself included, ill admit) who only care about themselves and their friends/family. nobody cares anymore for what is right and just anymore. those in power are selfish, and those who are good are not in any position to do anything about it.
honestly, there aint enough ppl in this country who DESERVE my help.
religion: I would die if that was what my god wanted. but i do not believe that any human being can tell me gods will for me personally. that includes preachers, ministers, even the pope. not even he has ANY clue of gods will for anyone but himself. but god has ways of telling me what he wants.

I would die for a fellow human being, or fighting against a rogue government, if it comes to revolution in the US.
Definitely not for religion or my country as it stands now.

I'd give my life for my friends and the ones I love. I have a fear of losing those that I love the most...and I would die for all of them....

I'm going to answer this in the most honest manner I can:
I would not die for my country, or my religon I would however, die for my freedoms. My freedom of speech, my freedom to worship my Goddess, my freedom to be me.
I could say I would die for my friends.
But would I really? I would get beaten up for them, I would try to save them in dire situations, but I'm not 100% sure I would die for them.

I'd rather die defending MY freedom, than for my country or anything else, freedom is a matter of taking and there is nobody except myself who can defend my own personal freedom.

Well I'd have to say: certain friends, family and to save a large amount of people's lives.
I do have some beliefs that I'd die for, but these aren't "religous". I'm pretty disilusiond on religion and that.
Oh read my sig "What are you willing to die for? More importanly what are you willing to live for?"

Hmmm...... I've never really thought about this before... Here's another question... Is there anybody or thing worth dying for, today? Has there really ever been anything worth dying for ever?
Ask yourself that.

hm. i would probably die for my friends, my grandmother, a few people that i consider family (who aren't blood related), and my books. the last one sounds kind of stupid, but i love my books. *shrug*
technically, i would die for almost anyone or anything; the things listed above are just the more important things i would die for. dying for something would give me the excuse to die, and finally find out what (if anything) happens after death. it sounds morbid, but i'm curious about unconfirmable stuff like that.
