Mireille trotted through the meadow gleefully. Everything was going perfectly, falling into plan accordingly. She truly could not be any happier. Well she could but Zei was being increasingly frustrating day after day. Rain Curl insisted that he was the way he was because of circumstances that happened most likely in foalhood or early adulthood but still couldn't he be nicer? But Mireille would keep trying, they were slowly making progress and that had to account for something, right? Though it would be amazing still if Zei would say the words she had been wanting to hear for awhile now, but Mireille supposed that it was harder for him to say it since he hadn't experienced it before. Even if she could not remember feeling love as well....not remembering her parents much or her elder sister. Mireille always wondered what became of them, she was sure they were fine but there was always that feeling of dread that creeped into her heart. There were many dangers in this world, afterall.
Mireille sighed, before continuing on her merry way through the meadow. She was heading towards the woods, usually she'd go the long way around, down by the river and up a few hills, then through a vast field before reaching the outskirts of the forest she knew where their human had her home. That was where Rain Curl lived also, usually Daz would be there too but lately Daz was gone, exploring with her own eyes instead of just hearing the stories Mireille told. Mireille knew Rain Curl worried about Daz, heck she worried too since Daz wasn't the least bit eloquent nor graceful. She was definitely the sort to find herself in loads of trouble. But actually Daz seemed all right last Mireille saw her so she guessed everything was going perfect for Daz also.
Mireille was heading into these particular woods instead of going her usual way to the teepee because she was running late, by this time she should of been close to it, and so she decided to go this route instead since she had heard that it was a bit of a shortcut. Yet she had also been warned that at night, it was difficult to find your way through it and of course there were dangers associated with the woods. Mireille didn't mind danger, it actually exhilerated her in its own way. She enjoyed challenging herself, it made her proud when she accomplished the challenge. Mireille stared at the woods, her bright blue eyes scanning ahead. It was rather quiet, Mireille creeped in slowly, her ears perked for any sound that seemed irregular. "Ha, this ain't so scary." A rustling made her freeze.
A squirrel came out, Mireille stared at it and it stared back before racing off. "Geez gotta stay focused, can't be hightailing it outta here because of some munchkin." The mare shook her head once before walking more inside.
