As the noon sun rose high in the sky, it basked its golden light upon the...empty pae'kippu beach. But Erylia was there...just not...there. She sat in the branches of one of the many trees right before the beach began, waiting. She didn't want to give herself away quite yet. The teen stroked her gilded hair, moreso out of habit and nervousness then personal vanity. Would he show? Would he be mad if he did? What if he didn't like her anymore? She sighed, letting her head gently hit the tree trunk to rest against it. What was wrong with her? It was completely unlike her normal personality. Those amethyst eyes closed, shutting her veiw of the beach. It was important to remember that above all, to have fun with this. It would be what protected her if he denied her...and it was what Criofan liked about her most.

As the beach came in their view, Texas nervously grabbed Criofan's arm to stop him in his tracks. "You sure about this, Criofan? I know you're usually confident about everything and you're well confident that this'll turn out just peachy and well, but really. An anonymous person asking you to go into an underwater cave? What if they're looking to kill you?"

Criofan couldn't stop his laughter, and it was a good minute before he wiped the tears from his eyes. "Texas! Ah'm a leipreachán. Ah'm eternally lucky. 'Sides, Mr. Summer Breeze, since when do ya' worry? Ah'm more concerned about ya' if ya're becoming a worrier."

"Touche." Texas quirked a brow. "Well, you have a point then. Alright, I'll leave you alone now." After slapping Criofan on the back, therefore shoving him forward onto the sands, Texas turned around and headed back to his home.

Criofan glanced around the Pae'kippu Beach, only to groan. The person who had invited him--whoever they were--wasn't even there. Well, it was either that or they were still trying to be mysterious. For better or for worse, the leprechaun didn't have much patience for these things. He just wanted his cut of the treasure. "Alrigh'!," he called to the empty beach. "Ya' come out or Ah'm leaving!"

OOC: XD Teen still. I don't want her to grow, be teen stage finally, and rp her as an adult.

BIC: It wasn't long until she heard voices. Criofans. And another males...but soon the chatter stopped. She opened her eyes once more to focus on the golden male, and fluently she dropped to the forest floor. A deep breath. The most important thing to do, was have fun with it. Smoothly, Erylia walked from the shadows, letting the sunlight glint off her hair and dapple across her skin. "Shall we get started?"

(( xD Fair enough. ))

Of course, Criofan's voice did sound a bit different. As an adult, his voice had deepened and his accent sounded much more Irish in origin than it had before. Every once in a while, a sing-song tone would enter his voice as well, but as soon as Erylia stepped out, it seemed the tone went away.

It was even harder than usual to tell what the leprechaun was thinking. He knit his brows upon seeing Erylia, internally conflicted for one reason or another. One of the first things he noticed was that she was still a teenager. She still remained the same, though he had to wonder if that was true throughout or just in her appearance.

"Aye, let's get started, lass. So, tell me, where's this treasure ya' were speaking of?" Criofan chose not to bring up his puzzlement in conversation, instead deciding to focus on the hidden treasure. Whether he wanted to stay or flee he didn't know, but first he wanted some of those shiny promised objects.

eek As she approached, it hit her like a crashing wave. From far away she hadn't noticed but...gaurdians, had it been so long? An adult? He had used a picture from his childhood...Well, both of her black cat siblings were dating adults now while in their teens. She nodded to the male, taking a deep breath. Steady. "I'll explain on the way. We'll be heading to that outcrop of rocks over there." She nodded her head to the left a moment before walking in the direction, with or without him. Though it was true...she had certainly changed in this time period. No more stealing cookies or even lying. She learned from Amara it was much better to use twisted truths then lies, and she had much bigger fish to fry then cookies. "A while back the niece of my eldest brother showed me a cavern deep under the lake. But I frequently returned out of boredum, seeing everything that it could possibly offer until it was a perminant memory. Eventually upon further exploration, I found another entrance."

A cavern deep under the lake? How deep was she talking? Did Erylia want to drown him now? "Ah, lass, I hope ya' are not talking too deep. Ah can only hold my breath for a li'l." He could last the thirty seconds she had suggested, but not much longer than that, and he didn't want to swim to the surface so quickly to get air that he got a case of the bends.

Instead of saying anything else, the leprechaun chose hum a drinking song under his breath to hide that he was observing her so closely. She seemed calmer, at least. Erylia was no longer prone to dragging him everywhere; it seemed she was giving him the choice to follow. He liked that a lot better. Was she too calm, though? It was hard to tell at the moment, but perhaps he'd be able to tell after just a little more observation.

He glanced away and threw a jaunty skip into his step as he glanced out towards the rocky area she had been speaking of. Obtaining this treasure would be interesting, at the least.

"That is why we are using gravity to help us down." Smoothly the female approached the first boulder and swung herself upon it, almost, gracefully. She had done this multiple times in the past, and knew the area well. "If you have any big peices of jewelry, now'll be the time to leave it behind. Bury it or hide it or whatever you want to do. Don't need the extra weight." A smile lit upon her lips for a moment, the female glancing down at the male almost deviously in humor. "Though I have always wondered if leprechauns sink."
PostPosted: Sun Oct 19, 2008 12:02 am

Criofan quirked a brow. Now Erylia expected him to dive for the treasure? What was this? "Ah, but Erylia, we still need ta' swim back ta' the surface. Going too far too fast could give ya' the bends. Nasty bugger that is." The leprechaun grabbed onto the first boulder and boosted himself up onto it.

"If ya' are trying ta' kill me, beware, Ah'm a leipreachán. It's in my job ta' be lucky." Though it may have vaguely seemed like he was joking, Criofan looked very serious. If anything, he was treating this date a bit more like a business deal. They were going in, they were doing the work, they were recovering what was necessary, they were dividing the treasures, and then they were stamping the file with a case closed stamp.

...And then it'd be over. The job would be complete, and Criofan would go home with his half of the treasure.

"You have to work for what you want, sometimes." She wasn't weighed down however by her failed attempt at lightening the mood, still smiling as she swung herself up another rock. And another. And another. It wasn't long until she had made it to the top, and waited for him. "Dont worry, I've done this a million times. Just haven't explored to far into the cave. Besides..." She reached up slowly to ever so lightly touch the silver necklace that rested upon her chest. "You're a friend." She let go of the old piece of jewelry to extend her hand towards Criofan. "It'll be easiest if you take my hand so we don't get seperated. We'll jump together." A good, thirty foot drop till the waters surface. Could be worse. "Just keep your body straight so you slip into the water instead of completing a belly flop."
PostPosted: Sun Oct 19, 2008 10:02 am

"It's easiest ta' put both ya' hands above ya' head in a point for the smoothest entry. We dive in near, not holding hands," corrected Criofan, as he hopped up the rest of the rocks. It had been a while since Criofan had to climb to get what he wanted, but these rocks weren't too big. Of course, he was taking his time, so it took a few minutes before he got up thirty feet of rocks.

When he finally arrived, the leprechaun fae flexed his toes and stretched out his arms above his head in preparation. Sure, he had never done this before, but he was certain his practiced power would give him some beginner's luck. He briefly waited for Erylia to prepare before he pushed off of the boulder, diving straight into the water in a position that resembled a sharpened pencil.

And so Lady Luck helped Criofan again. The leprechaun went into the water so smoothly that the splash was minimal at best.

"...same thing." She muttered under her breath, no longer looking at him as her hand dropped. He wanted business like, she'd give him business like. The female stretched smoothly. "You'll need all your luck to find me then once under water. Try not to rise any." And with that. she jumped in unison with the male. But as he dived, she did just opposite. His hands pointed down while hers pointed straight up. His feet towards the sky and hers pointed to a tip towards the quickly aproaching waters. Two pencils, pointed opposite directions. Her entrance was no less graceful however, then the golden pae, and she quickly sank deep down.

As soon as she began so slow, she opened her eyes to seek out the gold blur that was criofan. There. She swam over the whole three and a half feet to gently touch his arm. The female than quickly swam to the side until she felt the rock wall from the outcropping they had just left. She arched her body forwards , and pushed down with her feet to shoot further into the lakes depths, her fingertips just lightly grazing the wall. Hopefully Criofan got the hint and would follow her example. Her lungs were just beginning to burn when they suddenly felt nothing. Again she curved her body, this time to the side, as she found the rock wall again and pulled herself forwards. She swam into the caves mouth, eyes closing as it became too dark to see. Just a little further...just a little farther...Her toes hit sand, and she immediatly pushed off the ground to shoot her upwards. Her golden head broke the surface, amethyst eyes opening to shine in the single light she had left behind. She swam forwards to the plane of rock, her feet eventually finding the slanting ground to allow her up. The first room was a medium sized cavern, with just enough ceiling room for a male pae to stand without bumping his head. She bent down and picked up the little container of light. Dayhts firefly, taken straight from her room just that morning. It was created by Apollos light, so it wasn't living. Thusly couldn't die from starvation or lack of oxygen. But if she didn't lock it up, it would escape to Dayht once more. But that didn't hold her attention. Infront of her loomed the dark opening to a room ten times the size she was in now, with multiple chambers linked to it. The female turned back to the water behind her, dread just beginning to seep in. Where was criofan?
PostPosted: Sun Oct 19, 2008 10:50 am

Criofan was sharp, but he didn't need his intelligence to understand the obvious. He didn't know where he was going, and Erylia did. As soon as he had saw the demonic move, the leprechaun followed afterwards, not necessarily copying all of her movements but keeping track of her in his vision. Eventually, his feet too found the sand underneath, and quickly, he walked the rest of the way to the surface.

"That wasn't bad." He remarked, pulling his hands behind him to stretch them out. "So, this is a nice li'l air pocket. Guess this cave is above sea level..." The leprechaun stepped in front of Erylia to get a better look at his environment. He had never been here before, after all, and would like to know a bit about the damp cave he was standing in.

After scanning the cave to his content, he turned back towards Erylia. "Alright then. Well, Erylia, lead the way." He bowed formally and gestured, though it was hard to tell if he was trying to be comedic. The leprechaun seemed quite a bit more serious than he used to be, though it may have been the situation they were in. After all, they were on a mission.

OOC: XD that a big enough post for ye? Suddenly felt like being discriptive.

BIC: There. She subtly let out a breath she didn't know she had been holding. Friend or not, the consequences would be grander then even she would care to face if he died! "Judging by the location of the cave, I'll say that it spreads beneath the island surface. Has to. Some part of it must open up above water to let air in." Her voice was soft, though in the enclosed space she didn't need to speak loudly. It was quiet, and her voice gently bounced against the walls. "With a bit of luck, we may find it." With that, she started into the first large chamber. The little firefly's light could only penetrate so far, but she had explored this part enough to crudely know what it looked like. "Do you want to go down a path I've ventured through before, or a new one?" This oddly reminded her of the old 'Choose your own fate' books Raken would give her whenever he babysitted her.
PostPosted: Sun Oct 19, 2008 11:13 am

(( xD I noticed. ))

The leprechaun kept silent while she explained about the cave, and continued to keep silent until she asked him. "Oh? Well, ya' said we were goin' ta' find some treasure, right? Go down whatever path the treasure is!" His sky blue eyes sparkled in the minimal light. "Makes the most sense, right? O'course it does!" Why was she asking him the direction to go?

The first sign of mischief was creeping into his voice. "Or did ya' have something totally different in mind, Erylia?" The golden fae then decided to follow her into the chamber that she had chosen. "Perhaps ya' don't even know where this treasure is? If ya' do know where it is, take that path." Criofan seemed highly amused by the question, if anything. The leprechaun hummed to himself as he waited for Erylia to make a decision.

The female softly chuckled, amused by his spot of mischief. She started to walk forwards. "In my first letter to you, I asked if you would be interested in bringing up any treasures that may be hiding. I've never journeyed further then 30 minute walking distance from here." She started to the left, aiming for another gaping black opening. "I was asking because you're lucky." Into a cavern she never been in before.
